The major foreign countries that are strengthening SW education in schools emphasize coding education in SW education. However, SW education is more important than convergence with other fields rather than simply coding for SW development.
Therefore, in Korea, it is necessary to provide SW training for better talented people as well as coded training to learn basic concepts and thinking skills of SW development.
In this study, we developed a Virtual Reality (VR) programming module that can be applied at the elementary and middle school levels by deepening SW education. And it was applied to the front school to verify the effectiveness. To do this, we analyze the curriculum content and extract the content elements that can be developed as a programming module. Based on this content factor, a virtual reality programming module was designed and a block - based module which can be programmed as a virtual reality was developed. As a result of verifying the effectiveness of the developed virtual reality programming module, it showed that it is effective in problem solving ability and learning commitment of students.
