After the 21st century, the globalization and informatization have been proceeding more quickly. As the global positioning of Korea is also raised, there is growing influx of foreigner. Finally, the name of single-race nation does no longer fit for Korea.
Among the foreigner coming to Korea for various reasons, for the marriage immigrant women, the learning about Korean family culture is firstly required. Since they need further adaptation for Korean family culture as well as common adaptation for general immigrant. Especially, the number of Chinese marriage immigrant women is the largest in Korea. Moreover, there are many similarities between Korea and China from the traditional society due to the geological proximity hence, the culture education is of great value for Chinese marriage immigrant women who got the culture not only similar to Korea but also different.
Consequently, this study research and suggest the efficient teaching method of Korean family culture. The ultimate purpose of the study is to increase cultural competence of marriage immigrant women and finally make them adapt to Korea well and realize their happy life.
To achieve the aims of this study, in chapter 2, we are going to look into the book『The Korean with marriage immigrant women』and see how it shows the family culture. Then, based on the result of book analysis, we are going to find out how much marriage immigrant women understand Korea family culture by in-depth interview.
In chapter 3, based on the result of book analysis and in-depth interview in chapter 2, we are going to present the contents of family culture education. Examining this family culture of Korea and China separately is followed by defining something in common and difference between Korea and China.
We are going to design culture education system for teaching Korean family culture(defined in chapter 3)effectively and propose the reality of the education in chapter 4.
In chapter 5, we are going to identify the limitations by summarizing the results of this study and think about the further study.
