유연성이 있는 실린더에 외력에 의한 유체운동의 수학적 시뮬레이션

주기적인 외력에 의하여 판막이 존재하지 않는 상태에서 일어나는 일방향 유체순환을 valveless pumping(VP)이라 한다. VP 현상은 혈류 순환에 대한 연구에서 발전되어 많은 물리실험과 수학적 시뮬레이션을 통해 판막이 없이도 유체의 일방향 순환을 보여준다. 이러한 VP에 관한 연구에서 외력의 빈도수(frequency)와 압박 비율(compression duration), 탄성체의 신축성(elasticity)은 유체 흐름의 크기와 방향에 결정적인 역할을 하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 서로 다른 탄성체가 아닌 단일 탄성체로 이루어진 VP 모델을 제시한다. 유연성이 있는 열린 실린더(open cylinder)를 lumped model로 제시하고, 주기적인 외력을 가했을 때 유체의 흐름을 살펴 볼 것이며, 유체의 방향과 크기를 결정하는 중요한 요인은 무엇인지 알아본다.

최근 급증하는 기상이변 및 기후온난화 현상은 풍수로 인한 피해를 더욱 가속시키고 있어 풍수해 발생가능성을 미리 예측하여 선제적으로대응할 방안 마련이 필요하다. 재난 재해의 위험성 분석은 주로 확률 통계기법에 기반한 수식모델 연구가 주류를 이루고 있고 소방방재청 국립방재연구소에서 구축한 태풍위원회 재해정보시스템(TCDIS: Typhoon Committee Disaster Information System) 또한 지역별 풍수해 위험성 분석에 확률모델을 활용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 경험적 패턴인식에 탁월한 성능을 가진 신경망 알고리즘을 활용하여 개발한 풍수해 예측모델을 소개하고 이 모델과 TCDIS의 KDF 확률밀도함수를 이용한 풍수해 예측모델의 성능 비교 결과를 제시하여 기존 TCDIS의 위험성 분석기능에 신경망 모델을 적용함으로써 시스템의 강건성과 예측 정확도 향상이 가능함을 보이고자 한다. Storm and flood such as torrential rains and major typhoons has often caused damages on a large scale in Korea and damages from storm and flood have been increasing by climate change and warming. Therefore, it is an essential work to maneuver preemptively against risks and damages from storm and flood by predicting the possibility and scale of the disaster. Generally the research on numerical model based on statistical methods, the KDF model of TCDIS developed by NIDP, for analyzing and predicting disaster risks and damages has been mainstreamed. In this paper, we introduced the model for prediction of damage cost from storm and flood by the neural network algorithm which outstandingly implements the pattern recognition. Also, we compared the performance of the neural network model with that of KDF model of TCDIS. We come to the conclusion that the robustness and accuracy of prediction of damage cost on TCDIS will increase by adapting the neural network model rather than the KDF model.

노년기의 중요한 발달과업 중 하나는 죽음의 공포를 극복하고 수용하는 것이다. 죽음에 대한 생각은 대부분의 사람들에게 불안과 공포감을 갖게 한다. 노년기의 심리적 특성으로 볼 때 이러한 죽음의 문제를 개별적으로 다루어 나가는 것은 노인들에게 많은 어려움을 주고 있다. 노년기의 삶의 질이라는 측면에서 그리고 노인들의 생의 과업을 완수할 수 있도록 도움 을 제공한다는 의미에서 죽음을 대비한 체계적 서비스가 주어져야 할 것 이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 우리나라에서는 죽음을 대비한 서비스는 제한적 인 것 외에는 종교적 영역 또는 사적인 문제로 남겨져 있다. 죽음을 대비 한 서비스의 현실적 필요성을 인식하면서 이 분야에 대한 서비스가 제공되기를 촉구하는 의미에서 체계적 접근을 시도해 보았다. 죽음은 사적이고 개별적인 측면과 사회적 측면이 있다. 죽음에 대한 개인적인 개입과 함께 제도적이며 사회적인 측면이 뒷받침됨으로써 죽음의 공포를 극복해 나갈 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구는 문헌고찰로 죽음의 사적인 측면과 함께 죽음과 관련된 제도ㆍ문화ㆍ노인의 권리ㆍ사회적 보호장치 등의 사회적 측면을 함께 다루 어 봄으로써 체계적인 접근을 위한 탐색적 연구를 시도해 보았다.

소설과 각색영화의 메시지 해석 : <파이트 클럽>은 폭력을 옹호하는가?

척 팔라닉(Chuck Palahniuk)의 소설 파이트 클럽 을 각색한 데이비드 핀처(David Fincher) 감독의 영화 <파이트 클럽>은 1999년 개봉한 이래 지금까지도 감독의 스타일을 가장 잘 보여주는 대표작 중 하나로 꼽히고 있으며, 다양한 해석이 이루어지는 논쟁적인 작품이다. 특히 폭력을 소재로 하는 작품의 특성상 작품의 윤리성에 대한 지적이 적지 않게 있어왔다. 폭력을 미화하고 조장한다는 평가로부터, 영화에 등장하는 파이트 클럽이라는 소재 자체를 모방하여 폭력과 파괴행위를 일으키는 것까지 영화로부터 다양한 현상이 발생한 것은 사실이다. 하지만 이러한 해석이 정당한지에 대해서는 고찰이 필요하다. 본고는 소설과 영화의 줄거리를 살펴본 뒤, 각색영화의 시각화 요소를 분석하여 작품이 본래 전달하고자 하는 메시지를 살펴보고, 이어서 이 영화가 현재에 어떠한 시사점을 제공하는지에 대해 살펴볼 것이다. 해당 영화의 중심 메시지는 현대 자본주의 사회에 만연한 소비주의에 대한 비판이며, 그 소재로 20세기 말 미국 사회의 한 개인인 백인 남성의 내면을 다루고 있는 것이다. 이러한 해석을 바탕으로 해당 작품이 폭력을 옹호하거나 미화하는 것이 아니며, 폭력을 미화한다는 해석은 작품의 메시지로부터 벗어난 것임을 밝히고자 한다. The film "Fight Club", which is adapted from Chuck Palahniuk's novel "Fight Club" and directed by David Fincher, has been regarded as one of the director's quintessential works since its release in 1999. It remains a contentious piece of art with various interpretations, largely due to its exploration of violence and ethical themes. The film has been praised for showcasing Fincher's directorial style and has sparked debates on its ethical implications, ranging from accusations of glorifying and inciting violence to instances of real-life emulation of the Fight Club concept resulting in destructive behavior. Analyzing the plot of both the novel and the film, it is essential to delve into the visual elements of the adapted movie to understand the intended message and subsequently evaluate the validity of criticisms. The central message of the film critiques the prevalent consumerism in contemporary capitalist societies. It explores the inner world of a white male individual in late 20th-century American society as a microcosm of this critique. Based on this interpretation, it becomes evident that the film does not endorse or glorify violence; rather, it serves as a critique of consumerism in modern society. This interpretation aims to dispel the notion that the film advocates violence and emphasizes that such an interpretation deviates from the intended message of the work. In essence, "Fight Club" provides a commentary on the pervasive consumerism in modern capitalist societies, using the narrative of an individual's internal struggles to convey its overarching message.
