        반원형 리블렛 상부 난류경계층의 유동 구조 연구

        The near-wall flow structures of turbulent boundary layer over riblets having semi-circular grooves were investigated experimentally for the drag decreasing ($s^+=25.2$) and drag increasing ($s^+=40.6$) cases. The field of view used for tho velocity field measurement was $6.75{\times}6.75mm^2$ in physical dimension, containing two grooves. One thousand instantaneous velocity fields over the riblets were extracted for each case of drag increase and decrease. For comparison, five hundreds instantaneous velocity fields over a smooth flat plate were also obtained under the same flow conditions. To see the global flow structure qualitatively, the flow visualization was also performed using the synchronized smoke-wire technique. For the drag decreasing case ($s^+=25.2$), most of the streamwise vortices stay above the riblets, interacting with the riblet tips. The high-speed in-rush flow toward the riblet surface rarely influences the flow inside tho riblet valleys submerged in the viscous sublayer. The riblet tips seem to impede the spanwise movement of the longitudinal vortices and induce secondary vortices. The turbulent kinetic energy in the riblet valley is sufficiently small to compensate the increased wetted area of the riblets. In addition, in the logarithmic region, the turbulent kinetic energy are small or almost equal to that of a smooth flat plato. For the drag increasing case ($s^+=40.6$), however, the streamwise vortices move into the riblet valley freely, interacting directly with the riblet inner surface. The penetration of the high-speed in-rush flow on the riblets increases tho skin-friction. The turbulent kinetic energy is increased in the riblet valleys and even in the outer region compared to that over a flat plate.

        For small capacity rectifier circuits such as these for consumer electronics and appliances, capacitor input type rectifier circuits are generally used. Consequently, various harmonics generated within the power system become a serious problem. Various studies of this effect have been presented previously. However, most of these employ switching devices, such as FETs and the like. The absence of switching devices makes systems more tolerant to over-load, and brings low radio noise benefits. We propose a power factor correction scheme using a LC resonant in commercial frequency without switching devices. In this method, it makes a sinusoidal wave by widening conduction period using the current resonance in commercial frequency, Hence the harmonic characteristics can be significantly improved, where the lower order harmonics, such as the fifth and seventh order are much reduced. The result are confirmed by the theoretical and experiment implementations.

        콘크리트의 탄산화 관점에서 CO<sub>2</sub> 배출량-흡수량 평가에 관한 연구

        콘크리트는 생산과정에서 다량의 이산화탄소를 배출하는 시멘트를 사용하기 때문에 반친환경적 재료로 인식되고 있다. 하지만 콘크리트는 사용기간 중 탄산화 과정을 통하여 대기중의 이산화탄소를 흡수한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기존문헌 고찰을 통하여 1) 콘크리트 내 탄산화 가능한 물질의 농도, 2) 탄산화된 콘크리트의 체적, 3) 이산화탄소 분자량을 이용, 탄산화를 통한 콘크리트의 이산화탄소 흡수량의 정량적 산출 방법을 제시하였다. 또한 콘크리트 생산에 사용되는 재료들의 이산화탄소 배출량 자료를 이용하여 단위 콘크리트 생산에 따른 이산화탄소 배출량을 정량적으로 산출하였다. 이러한 콘크리트의 이산화탄소 흡수량 및 배출량의 정량적 산출방법을 이용하여 실제 사용중인 아파트 건축물 1동을 대상으로 하여 콘크리트의 생산에 따른 배출량과 사용기간에 따른 이산화탄소 흡수량을 정량적으로 산출하여 이산화탄소의 배출량-흡수량 평가를 실시하였다. 그 결과 건축물을 40, 60, 80년 사용시, 사용된 콘크리트의 이산화탄소 배출량 대 흡수량의 비율이 3.65, 4.47, 5.18%로 나타났다. 본 연구는 콘크리트 생산 및 사용에 따른 이산화탄소 배출량-흡수량의 정량적 산정방법에 연구의 목적을 두었으며 이산화탄소 배출량-흡수량 평가 결과 구조물을 80년 사용할 시 약 5.18%로 그 값이 미비하였으나 시멘트의 혼화재 치환율 증가를 통한 배출량 저감과 탄산화 체적 증가를 통한 이산화탄소 흡수량 증가를 통해 배출량-흡수량을 향상시킬 수 있으며, 향후 콘크리트의 이산화탄소 배출량-흡수량 평가에 본 연구의 방법이 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. A concrete is considered unfriendly-environmental material because it uses cement which emits much $CO_2$ during producing process. However, a concrete absorbs $CO_2$ through carbonation process during service life. In this paper how much concrete absorbs $CO_2$ through carbonation was calculated using 1) concentration of carbonatable substances in concrete, 2) carbonated volume of concrete, 3) molecular weight of $CO_2$ based on references and the method was proposed. $CO_2$ emission from producing $1m^3$ concrete was calculated based on $CO_2$ emission datum of materials used in concrete. From using these methods that calculate $CO_2$ emission and absorption of concrete, assessment of $CO_2$ emission-absorption against a real apartment was conducted by subtracting absorption $CO_2$ according to service life from $CO_2$ emission in the process of making concrete. As a result, a ratio of absorption over emission of $CO_2$ through concrete carbonation according to service life 40, 60, 80 years was assessed about 3.65, 4.47, 5.18%. An objective of this study is to propose how to calculate emission - absorption of $CO_2$ from producing and using concrete. Although the result value, emission - absorption of $CO_2$, is 5.18% very low when the service life of an apartment is 80years, the value can be improved by reducing emission from using blended cement such as blast furnace slag or increasing replacement ratio of cement and increasing carbonated volume of concrete from expanding service life of a building. This study may be useful when $CO_2$ emission - absorption of concrete is evaluated in the further study.

        추황배(Pyrus pyrifolia Nakai cv. Chuhwangbae) 과피로부터 1종의 Sterol과 3종의 배당체 화합물의 단리·동정

        본 연구에서는 배의 유용성 증명을 위한 일환으로 배의 화학성분을 분자수준에서 밝히고자 하였다. 이에 배 과피 MeOH 추출물을 용매분획하여 얻은 EtOAc-산성 분획과 EtOAc-중성분획을 대상으로 Sephadex LH-20, silica gel, 그리고 ODS colmn chromatography와 HPLC를 이용하여 정제 및 단리하였다. 그 결과, EtOAc-산성 분획과 EtOAc-중성 분획으로부터 각각 2종씩의 화합물을 단리하였다. 단리된 화합물 1-4는 1H- 및 13C-NMR 분석을 통하여 각각 (S)-(+)-2-cis-abscisic acid O-β-D-glucopyranosyl ester (화합물 1), 1-[4-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl]phenyl ethanone(piceoside, 화합물 2), β-sitosterol (화합물 3), 그리고 β-sitosteryl 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (화합물 4)로 동정되었다. 단리된 3종의 배당체 화합물(화합물 1, 2, 4)들은 본 연구에 의해 배로부터 처음 동정되었으며, 화합물 3은 추황배로부터 처음 동정되었다. 본 연구결과가 배 함유 성분연구는 물론 배의 기능성 해명 연구에도 추후 중요한 기초자료로 활용되길 기대한다. We isolated and identified antioxidants from acidic and neutral ethyl acetate fractions of the peel of pear (Pyrus pyrifolia N. cv. Chuhwangbae). We isolated 4 compounds from the methanol extract, by using 3 different types of column chromatography (Sephadex LH-20, silica gel, and octadecylsilane) and preparative HPLC. We identified the isolated compounds as (S)-(+)-2-cis-abscisic acid O-β-D-glucopyranosyl ester (compound 1), 1-[4-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl]phenyl ethanone (picroside, compound 2), β-sitosterol (compound 3), and β-sitosteryl 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (compound 4) by nuclear magnetic resonance analysis. We are the first to report the identification of compounds 1, 2, and 4 from pear.

        편백 화백나무의 줄기마름병은 주로 작은 가지가 피해를 받으며, 병든 부위의 윗부분은 적갈색으로 변하면서 말라 죽는다. 측백나무과에서는 아주 중요한 병해로 알려져 이쓰며, 1987년 우리나라에서 처음 보고되었고, 오래전 편백나무가 도입 되었을 때 병원균이 같이 들어온 것으로 추정된다. 노간주나무가 전염원이 되기도 하며, 줄기에 병이 발생할 경우 목재 조직에 송진이 침적되어 목재의 상품가치를 크게 저하시킨다.

      • Antitumor and Immunostimulating Activities of Acanthopanax sessiliflorus Fruits

        The antitumor and immunostimulating activities of Acanthopanax sessiliflorus fruits were investigated. Polysaccharide isolated from this plant, when administered consecutively for 9 days at 50 and 100 mg/kg i.p. in mice, caused a significant increase in the life span and a significant decrease in the tumor weight and volume in mice inoculated with Sarcoma-180 tumor cells. Polysaccharide was also demonstrated to exhibit phagocytosis-enhancing activity as measured by the carbon clearance in mice. Polysaccharide, when administered i.p. at 50 and 100 mg/kg/day for 3 consecutive days, exhibited a significant RCtr/RCc [the rate of regression coefficient of the animals teated (RCtr) to that of the control (RCc)], being 1.44 (PI = 1), 1.52 (PI = 2) which was approximately the same with that of enhancement of phagocytosis, its potency as expressed by the regression coefficient ratio of zymosan (RCtr/RCc = 1.55, PI = 2), a typical phagocytosis enhancer. Polysaccharide also caused a significant increase in the acid phosphatase activity representing lysosomal enzymes in macrophages at 1-100 ig/ml in vitro in compliance with in vivo results. These results suggest that the antitumor activity of polysaccharide might be related to the immunostimulating function.

        한국의 축산물 물발자국 산정

        Since the consumption of the livestock products increased for the past 10 years in Korea, the water use for live animals has become more important in terms of water savings. Therefore, the index connecting water use and livestock products consumption should be required for sustainable water management, and water footprint concept could be suggested as the index. The aim of this study is to estimate the water footprint for livestock products; beef cattle, swine, and broiler chicken. The water footprint for livestock products is divided into direct and indirect water. The direct water includes the drinking and servicing water, and the indirect water includes the water for the cultivation of feed crops. The water footprint of beef cattle was calculated to $17,023.1m^3/ton$, and direct water was $91.2m^3/ton$, and indirect water was $16,931.9m^3/ton$. The water footprint of swine was calculated to $4,235.8m^3/ton$, and direct water was $129.7m^3/ton$, and indirect water was $4,106.0m^3/ton$. The water footprint of broiler chicken was calculated to $2,427.7m^3/ton$, and direct water was $7.6m^3/ton$, and indirect water was $2,420.1m^3/ton$. Also, we compared the water footprint to water demand of water vision 2020 which is the main report for national water management. The water vision 2020 reported only direct water for live animal, but the water footprint includes the direct and indirect water. Therefore, the water footprint could be applied to various fields relating water and food.

        식품 소비 및 칼로리 공급 변화에 따른 가상수 소비량의 변화 분석

        The agricultural water management generally has focused on water resources for crop production but it could be affected by the food consumption pattern. The aim of this study is to estimate virtual water consumption for food consumption and calorie supply using the water footprint and virtual water concept. In addition, we estimated the virtual water requirements for increasing the food and calorie self-sufficiency adjusted by the government for food security. About $330.0m^3/cap/yr$ of virtual water was consumed for the main foods consumption in 1985, and it was increased to $450.0m^3/cap/yr$ in 2010. The rate of virtual water consumption by meats consumption was 28 % in 1985 but it was increased to 54 % in 2010. In other words, the total virtual water consumption by foods consumption was increased from 1985 to 2010 with the high rate of meats consumption. The average $1.29m^3$ of virtual water was consumed for supplying 1 calorie per capita in 2010 but about $10.1m^3/cal$ of virtual water was consumed by only bovine meats consumption. The food self-sufficiency is the main factor for food security in Korea. About $46.5Mm^3$ and $393.9Mm^3$ of virtual water were required in order to increase the food and calorie self-sufficiency of wheat by 1 % individually. This study showed the water consumption was related to food consumption and calorie supply pattern, and these results could be used as the indices for the agricultural water management considering the change of eating habit and food security.

      • 타일-기반 수치지도를 이용한 동시 합병 처리기 설계 및 구현

        기존에 제작되어 있는 수치지도를 이용해서 공간 데이타베이스를 구축할 때 타일 기반의 분리된 수치지도를 Seamless Map으로 다시 제작하는 과정은 필수적이다. 기존의 반복적인 합병 방법은 작업의 동시성이 떨어지는 문제점이 있다. 이 논문에서는 다수 작업자에 의한 작업의 동시성을 유지할 수 있도록 하는 변형된 2PC 프로토콜에 기반한 동시 합병 처리기의 구현에 대해 다루고 있다. 작업자들은 처리기를 통하여 서로 간의 작업을 공유할 수 있으므로 합의에 의한 합병 작업을 동시에 진행할 수 있다. To build a spatial database from digital maps, it is necessary to rebuild a seamless-map with discrete tile-based digital maps. The sequential merge methods have the disadvantage of degenerating concurrency. In this paper, we consider the implementation of the system based on modified 2PC protocol to retain the concurrent merge. As the engineers share the merge through the system, they can concurrently proceed to merge by negotiation.

        쌀 생산 및 소비에 따른 지역 간 청색 가상수 흐름 추정을 통한 지역 수자원의 기여도 분석

        The aim of this study is to analyze the contribution of regional water resources through the gap between water used for rice production and water used for consumption. The blue water use for rice production and for consumption was quantified and the regional blue water flows were estimated using the virtual water concept from 1995 to 2010. About $1134.4Mm^3/yr$ of blue water flowed among the provinces and metropolises of Korea, and about 28.5 % of total blue water flows came from Jeonnam province. In addition, blue water usage for rice was classified into three categories: water for production, internal consumption, and overproduction in each region. In Jeonnam, $633.8Mm^3/yr$ of blue water totally used for rice production, and 50.9 % and 15.5 % were used for external and internal rice consumption, respectively. The other 33.6 % was used for over production of rice for food security. This study assumed the blue water flows depended on the gap between virtual water use for rice production and consumption. However, the analysis of regional blue water usage and flows might show the importance of other region's water resources, and make policy decision-makers aware of the integrated water management among the regions.
