The 2002 Asian Games are the greatest international event of Busan since its port opening. The Busan Asiad, marking the 51st anniversary of its birth, welcomes 55,000 including 12,000 athletes under the catchphrase of "building a more peaceful Asia by Asians." Therefore, during the 16-day Asiad period, Busan will be a center of world focus. In ancient Olympics, a host city was believed to be eternally blessed by God. In a similar context, the Asian Games are a peace festival of humankind regardless of politics, religions, races, cultures, and ideologies. The Asiad held every four years serves as an occasion of showing the growth of economics, science, medicine, information technology, and broadcasting. In each Asiad, what matters is preparation rather than results. When all citizens proudly take part in transparent preparation processes, it can be an advanced festival of citizens. We need mature consciousness before several gold medals. The success of each Asian Games depends on the active and voluntary participation of citizens in preparation. In short, through the Busan Games, the citizens can improve the quality of their life, while both the city and the country will develop a lot. For the success of the 2002 Busan Asain games, aggressive and harmonious participation of the organizing committee, the national government, and particularly citizens is a must. As we are about to greet and create a culture fitting this new millennium, the purity and authenticity of the Asiad should not be forgotten or abandoned. Otherwise, we will have difficulty promoting and improving a true culture in Busan as well as the upgraded quality of life for each citizen, if the city aims to be one of the best in Asia and in the world. When the Asian Games in 2002 prove to be a success based on the Olympic spirit, urban development and economic growth will naturally follow. In this respect, the 2002 Busan Asiad should not be the mere competition of athletes through the preparation of the central government, but be the forum for the harmony and peace of 3.6 billion Asian people to enhance physical, intellectual and cultural values. In sum, Busan has to be a city of peace and Busanians the messengers of peace through the 2002 Asian Games.

Teakwendo of a capitalism country, Korea was the cultural product in a multiracial country, U.S.A. I think that the power Teakwendo can take a root in American society is the constant effort ; the master grasp a target, that is, American and they import the business concept 'franchise' with the cultural product 'Teakwendo'. The soft with strong and small with large movements is the right thing for American who has been accustomed to sports. As stated above, Pumse and Gyekpa stimulated the motive of training to American who like to express. Taekwendo was eligibility in view of not only American physical health but also mental value. I assert that Teakwendo was suitable military arts for American. The aspect of functional of oriental military arts is natural and it can have the power of competition as the spreader of culture the master who understand philosophical concept 'moderation' called the best of oriental military arts and the foundation of it, that is, extermination of mental world from self-discipline. It should be changed by program which was driven out the value, the self culture of body and spirit and the word of spirit of oriental philosophy of training of military arts. That's why the functional training of oriental military arts is not all parts of it.
