The blast vibrations were measured from 10 places through Seoul subway area to study their effects on the structures and to establish the safe blasting limits. For purpose of the present study, particle velocity only was recorded and analyzed, because it correlated most directly with damage. The results are as follows: (1) The proagation equation, V=K(D/W1/3)-n was obtained. Typical values could be found for n range from 1.7 to 1.5 and for k range from 48 to 138. (2) From the relationship between schmidt hammer rebound hardness and uniaxial compressive strength, Sc=0.514×(S.H)0.23, the compressive strength at any area can be assumed. (3) The use of AN-FO and other explosives with low detonation pressure may reduce vibration levels generated.
폴리머 콘크리트를 이용한 전기,통신관련 제품 개발에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 고성능의 폴리머 콘크리트를 이용하여 현재 콘크리트나 강재로 만들어져 있어 내구성 및 시공에 문제가 있는 전기, 통신 설비제품을 새롭게 개발하고자 개발타당성을 검토하였다. 폴리머 콘크리트가 전기, 통신설비의 측면에서 갖는 장점은 높은 절연성, 불투수성, 내구성, 사용의 용이성 등이 이점이라고 하겠다. 본 연구에서 조사 연구한 바로는 전기, 통신설비와 관련한 기존 콘크리트 구조물의 대부분을 대체할 수 있으리라 여겨지며 특히 전기 설비에서 필요로 하는 애자, 금구등과 같은 절연체의 대체가 유망하리라 여겨진다. In this research works, we considered and verified the feasibility for developments of the electric and telecommunication equipments using polymer concrete, which have some demerits until now because of using concrete or steel. In the view points of developmetns of electric and telecommunication equipments, polymer concrete has some advantages, such as high insulating characteristics, high strength, convenience for handling. Therefore, polymer concrete can replace most of all the electric and telecommunication equipments made by conventional concrete, especially it can be a promising material for high voltage insulator in electrical power industry.
複雜한 地形에서의 Schwartz-christofel 變換을 利用한 電位計算의 基礎的 硏究(Ⅰ)

Schwartz-christofel transformation has been widely used to solve engineering problems. In this paper, this transformation is used to calculate topographic problems. Any two points of z-plane are transformed into ε-plane by Schwartz-Christofel transformation using calculator.

A Study on failure strength of rock under uniaxial and triaxial compression tests was carried out for underground structural design in domestic and foreign countries recently. An experimental study was made for the core specimens of SANG-DONG tungsten mine. The results are as follows; 1. Failure strength was increasing gradually with increase of confining pressure. 2. Longitudinal and lateral strain increased in proportion to confining pressure under triaxial compression tests. 3. Stress-strain curves showed straight line to 62% of failure strength. 4. Effect of failure strength about porosity was 3.0% on the average and it represented lower value comparatively. 5. The values of triaxial compressive strength were distributed between 345 and 3082㎏/㎠, the mean value of which was 1063㎏/㎠. 6. The mean value of modulus of longitudinal elasticity(E) was 3.6X 10^5㎏/㎠ and poisson's ratio was 0.35.
터널굴착시 천공 및 발파조건이 여굴의 크기에 미치는 영향

Overbreak, underbreak and range of disturbed rock zone (DRZ) are the most important factors in evaluating the results of tunnel blasting. These factors, which depend on the discontinuities in rock mass, the blasting patterns and drilling conditions, have been studied. The range of DRZ can be estimated by relationships between vibration velocity and associated tensile stress. A new computerized rocket jumbo drill has been adopted to reduce overbreak based on the analysis of drilling accuracy. In-situ blasting tests were also performed by varying initiating systems. Overbreak can be reduce from 34.5cm to 20cm. The range of DRZ is 0.2m with stoping holes and 0.4m with wall holes respectively. In addition, some methods to reduce DRZ have been presented in this study.

Renal artery thrombosis may result from external trauma of a blunt nature. Such injury is induced by rapid deceleration resulting in the stretching of the renal vasculature, disruption of the arterial intima-the least elastic layer of the arterial wall and eventual thrombosis. The treatment of renal artery thrombosis is controversial, with physician's options divided between prompt surgical exploration with vascular repair and clinical observation. We experienced 1 case of traumatic renal artery thrombosis and report that with a brief review of the literature.
자운천 유역의 강우특성에 의한 하천 탁도 발생에 관한 연구

This research investigates the turbidity and flow of river for an year, 2005, in order to examine the relation of the generation of turbidity according to the outflow of min water. For this research, the region of Jawoon river where is the area of high land vegetable growing in the upper Soyang Reservoir is selected to observe actual floating materials that generate negative nutrition and turbidity of the Reservoir water and the changes of water quality by raining of each month, In addition, the researcher has conducted statistical inspection methods, such as correlation analysis and regression analysis on strength of raining force, and rain continuance time among the elements affecting the outflow of floating materials.

The pressure-time profile of the explosion gases can controlled for the use of cartridge explosive with two techniques known as Decoupling and spacing of the charges. Decoupling consists of a space between the explosive column and wall of the blast hole. Four different decoupling index 1.4, 1.8, 2.34, 3.0 are selected in this field study. The level of ground vibrations with each decoupling index was measured and the empirical particle velocity equation from these data was obtained. The condition of new cracks at blast hole are also examined. As the decoupling index is increased, the level of the blast vibration is decreased. But the cracks in rock masses are efficiently formed to remove the broken rock. The vibration constant associated with test sites is given as K=1564.5(D.I)^-1.3233 in terms of D.I.(decoupling index)

Recently, parallel kinematic machine tool with high accuracy and stiffness is causing great concern in 5-Axis processing which is applied in manufacturing with complicated shape products. However, there are some inherent difficulties in parallel kinematic machine tool such as a collision between workpiece and tool, over-cut and under-cut, verification of tool path route in progress. To solve these problem in advance, it needs machine simulation of parallel kinematic machine tool above all things. the purpose of this study is, therefore, carried out machine simulation for parallel kinematic machine tool and accumulation of technical knowledge for the productivity and efficiency in parallel kinematic machine tool through verification of 5-Axis machining.
