강원도 강릉지역 사회교육기관의 무용교육 프로그램 현황 및 전망

본 연구는 강원도 강릉지역의 사회교육기관에서 운영되고 있는 무용교육 프로그램들에 대한 현장 실태를 파악하고, 이러한 무용교육 프로그램이 사회교육의 하나로서 양적인 측면과 질적인 측면에서 발전되어질 수 있는 기초자료와 정보를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 연구방법은 강원도 강릉지역 사회교육기관에서 무용관련 프로그램을 담당하고 있는 강사와 프로그램을 수강한 수강생, 그리고 사회교육기관의 담당자를 비확률표집(Nonprobability Sampling)의 하나인 유목적표집법(Purposeful Sampling)으로 각각 3명씩 선정하여 심층면담을 실시하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. 심층면담의 구체적인 방법으로는 공식적인 면담을 통해 이루어졌으며, 공식적인 면담의 형식은 반구조화된 면담(semi- structured interview)과 비구조화된 면담(unstructured interview)을 혼합하여 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 강원도 강릉지역 사회교육기관 무용교육 프로그램의 현황과 전망을 살펴본 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현재 강릉지역에는 전통연희와 관련되어진 프로그램의 개설이 상당히 미흡한실정이며, 이러한 무용교육 프로그램이 어렵고 난해한 것이 아닌 누구나 배울 수 있는 것이라는 수강생들의 인식의 변화가 우선적으로 이루어져야 할 것이다. 둘째, 강릉지역 사회교육기관에서는 지역사회 차원에서 무용교육 프로그램에 대한적극적인 홍보와 공간의 확장, 수강인원의 조정 등 시설의 보완 및 적극적인 재정적지원이 요구되어진다. 셋째, 무용교육 프로그램의 단계별 세분화가 이루어져야 하며, 뛰어난 실기능력과성실한 태도를 갖춘 무용교육 프로그램의 전문적인 지도자, 그리고 프로그램의 다양화가 요구되어진다. 넷째, 사회교육기관에서는 각종 대회 및 발표회 등을 통해 선보일 수 있는 기회를제공해야 할 것이다. 또한 특강제도 혹은 무료강좌나 세미나식의 강좌를 활용하여 가족과 함께 즐길 수 있는 무용교육 프로그램의 확대를 통해 일반인들로 하여금 직접보고, 참여할 수 있게 하는 무용문화의 생활화를 위한 노력이 이루어져야 할 것이다. The purpose of this study is to survey dance education programs operated at social education institutions in Gangneung, Gangwon-do and to provide basic materials and information for developing dance education programs as one of social educations in terms of quantity and quality. For this study, we selected three lecturers of dance-related programs, three students of dance programs, and three staff members at social education institutions in Gangneung, Gangwon-do through purposeful sampling, which is one of non-probability sampling methods, and performed formal in-depth interviews with them. The formal interviews used both semi-structured interview and unstructured interview. From the results of this study on the current state and prospect of dance education at social education institutions in Gangneung, Gangwon-do were drawn conclusions as follows. First, in the Gangneung area has few programs related to traditional theatrical arts. Thus, it is necessary first to change dance learners’ idea so that they think such dance education programs are not difficult or complicated but easy for anybody to learn. Second, social education institutions at the Gangneung area are in need of active promotion, expansion of space, adjustment of students, supplement of facilities, and active financial support. Third, dance education programs should be subdivided according to level, and it is required to raise instructors specialized in dance education programs equipped with outstanding skills and sincere attitude, and to diversify programs. Fourth, social education institutions should provide the learners with opportunities to display their skills at public performances, contests, etc. and expand programs enjoyable with family using special lectures, free lectures or seminar-type lectures so that ordinary people may see and participate in such programs and enjoy dance culture in their everyday life.
