        경찰관의 노인접촉경험과 노화지식이 노인에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향 연구

        우리 사회는 이미 고령사회(aged society)로 진입하여 노인문제에 대한 사회적 관심이 증가되고 있다. 최근 들어 노인이 범죄의 대상이 되는 것뿐만 아니라, 노인 스스로가 범죄자로 밝혀지는 각종 사건ㆍ사고들도 증가하는 추세이다. 이에 본 연구는 노인범죄자, 요주의 노인, 일반 노인 대상 경찰관 업무가 점차 증가하는 현실에서 경찰관들이 노인을 대하는 태도가 매우 중요하다는 점에 주목하였다. 또, 본 연구는 선행연구에 근거하여 경찰관들이 노인을 대하는 태도에 대한 영향요인으로 노인접촉경험과 노화에 관한 지식의 중요성도 파악하였다. 본 연구는 G광역시에 근무하는 현직 경찰관 299명을 대상으로 노인접촉 경험과 노화지식을 독립변수로, 노인에 대한 태도를 종속변수로 설정하여 조사ㆍ분석하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면, 연구에 참여한 경찰관들의 노화지식은 다소 낮고, 노인에 대한 태도는 중립적이었다. 경찰관의 노인접촉경험과 노화지식은 노인을 대하는 태도에 각각 유의한 정적 상관이 나타났고, 노인접촉경험과 노화지식 간의 상관관계는 유의하지 않았다. 회귀분석 결과는 경찰관의 노인접촉경험과 노화지식이 노인을 대하는 태도에 유의한 영향을 끼친다고 나타났다. 다시 말하면, 경찰관들이 노인과 긍정적 접촉을 많이 하고, 노화에 대한 지식이 많을수록 노인에 대해 긍정적 태도를 갖게 된다는 의미이다. 이런 연구결과에 근거하여 본 연구는 경찰관들을 대상으로 하는 노인 및 노화 관련 교육프로그램을 개발하고 노인 대상 업무 수행에서의 긍정적 접촉 강화 방안을 수립하고 실행하는 데에 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. Korea has already entered into the aged society and elderly problems have become one of the important social problem. All kinds of accidents and incidents are on the rise where the elderly themselves are found to be perpetrators as well as the victims of crimes. Accordingly, this study focused on the fact that police officers' attitudes towards the elderly are highly important amid a reality where police officers' tasks which deal with the elderly criminals, the elderly on the blacklist, and common elderly are gradually increasing. Based on previous research, this study examined the importance of police officers' contact with elderly and knowledge on aging as the influential factors of police officers' attitudes towards the elderly. This study investigated 299 police officers working at G Metropolitan City and analyzed the results by setting their contact with elderly and knowledge on aging as independent variables and their attitudes towards the elderly as a dependent variable. To summarize the study results, the participants' knowledge on aging was rather low and their attitudes towards the elderly were neutral. Both police officers' contact with elderly and knowledge on aging had a significant positive correlation with their attitudes towards the elderly, and the correlation between their contact with elderly and knowledge on aging was not significant. According to the result of regression analysis, police officers' contact with elderly and their knowledge on aging significantly influenced their attitudes towards the elderly. In other words, the more positive contact with elderly and the more knowledge on aging police officers had, the more positive attitudes they had towards the elderly. Based on the above results, this study intends to develop elderly and aging-related educational programs for police officers and provide basic data for establishing and implementing measures to increase police officers' positive contact with elderly in performing tasks related with the elderly.

        노인요양시설 종사자들의 구강보건 지식정도와 노인구강건강관리에 대한 인지정도 연구

        According to the result of examining the recognition on subjective oral health knowledge and elderly oral health management with a self-administered questionnaire survey conducted to 233 workers of elderly care facilities located in Gyeonggi-do, it was shown that their general oral health knowledge level was high while their elderly oral health knowledge was lower than general oral health knowledge. And it was found that respondents answering they had keen interest in the level of oral health knowledge according to the interest in elderly oral health showed a higher level of oral health knowledge than those answering they had no interest in it, which indicated statistically significant difference (p<.001). Regarding the study subjects’ elderly oral health management and educational demand, quite a high percentage of 83,7% responded the education is needed. A response that it is appropriate for dental hygienists to give elderly oral health management and the education showed 57.9%, which was the most. Also, it was shown that in the level of oral health knowledge according to the recognition of elderly oral health managers and educators, subjects recognizing that it is needed to be dental hygienists indicated a high level of oral health knowledge, which showed statically significant difference (p<.05).

        Knowledge, Attitudes, and Intention of Students Majoring fin Food and Nutrition on Working with the Elderly

        With the increase of elderly people, educators have begun designing experiences to prepare students to work with elderly group. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the knowledge and attitude of students majoring in food and nutrition for the elderly and their intentions to provide services for the elderly. The knowledge level of the students was in a medium range, and no relationship was found between knowledge and attitudes using Pearson correlation. The knowledge did not significantly differ across gender and academic level when compared using t-test and ANOVA, but knowledge level was significantly different based on residential experiences with elderly over 65 years of age (p < 0.05). Students had neutral attitudes toward working with elderly employees and working for elderly. Students had positive intentions to work with elderly employees, seek employment in an organization for elderly clients/customers, and seek opportunities for positive social interaction with the elderly. However, students do not have positive work preference with elderly employees. As a result of multiple regression analysis, it was found that knowledge was not a predictor of intentions to provide services to the elderly. However, attitudes toward working with elderly employees, attitudes toward elderly, residential experiences with elderly > 65 years have been predicted the intentions to work with elderly employees. Attitudes working with elderly employees and attitudes toward elderly influenced the intentions to work in the organizations to provide services to elderly. This study can be identified the need for additional didactic preparation and experiences to prepare students to work with elder aging population.

      • 간호대학생의 노인에 대한 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인

        Purpose : The purpose of this study was to identify influencing factors of attitude toward the elderly in nursing students. Methods : Participants were 284 nursing students from one college and two department of nursing in B metropolitan. Data was collected by structured questionnaire on subjects’ characteristics, knowledge and attitude toward the elderly. Data were analyzed using descriptive, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression analysis with SPSS/WIN 24.0 program. Results : First, The average score of the participants knowledge was 0.45±0.10 out of 1 and attitude was 4.10±0.55 out of 7. Second, As result of analyzing general aspects of the knowledge, statistically significant differences were not found. As result of analyzing general aspects of the attitudes, statistically significant differences were found in gender(t=-2.543, p<.05), grade(t=-8.080, p<.001), grandparents survival(t=-2.925, p<.01), living with the elderly past(t=-3.217, p<.01), whether to have a elderly friend(t=-3.832, p<.001), experience of voluntary service related with the elderly(t=-5.667, p<.001), intention to do gerontoloical nursing(F=44.828, p<.001), interest in the elderly(F=30.276, p<.001). Third, As result of analysis of correlation between the knowledge and attitude were statistically significant relationships(r=.191, p<.01). Forth, Factors significantly affecting attitude toward the elderly were intention to do gerontological nursing(β=.256, p<.001), grade(β=.280, p<.001), interest in the elderly(β=.156, p<.01), gender(β=.127, p<.01), knowledge toward the elderly(β=.103, p<.05), living with the elderly(past)(β =.110, p<.05), whether to have a elderly friend(β=.103, p<.05). Explanatory power of the model was 38.7%. Conclusions : It is necessary to develop a program for continuous teaching and education that will help increase nursing student’s knowledge and thereby positively change attitude toward the elderly.

        일부 치위생과 학생의 노인관련 경험에 따른 노인에 대한 지식과 태도 연구

        Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship of the elderly-related experience of dental hygiene students to their knowledge of the elderly and attitude toward them. Methods: The subjects in this study were 346 dental hygiene students at health colleges in the city of J, South Gyeongsang Province. A survey was conducted in June and July, 2014, and the answer sheets from 316 respondents were analyzed by a statistical package SPSS 21.0. Results: As for the influence of elderly-related experience on attitude toward the elderly, educational experience related to the elderly had a statistically significant negative impact on that (p<0.05), and that was under the statistically significant positive influence of experience of living with one or more elderly person (s) (p<0.01), volunteering experience for senior citizens (p<0.05), and awareness of the necessity of education geared toward understanding the elderly (p<0.05). Concerning knowledge of the elderly, knowledge of their physical and physiological areas (p<0.01) and knowledge of their family and social areas (p<0.01) exerted a statistically significant influence on attitude to the elderly. Conclusions: The findings of the study are expected to provide useful information on the awareness of dental hygiene students about senior citizens. In the future, research efforts should be made to determine how to improve the awareness of dental hygiene students about elderly people and their attitude.

        일부 치위생과 학생의 노인관련 특성에 따른 노인에 대한 지식수준

        본 연구는 일부 치위생과 학생을 대상으로 노인관련 특성에 따른 노인에 대한 지식의 수준을 알아보고, 노인에 대한 지식과 태도를 좀 더 긍정적으로 유도할 수 있는 방안모색에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고자 경남 J시에 위치한 일부 보건대학교 치위생과 학생 316명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 치위생과 학생들의 노인과의 긍정적 상호작용을 위한 방안을 모색하고자 노인 관련 특성과 노인에 대한 지식을 조사한 결과, 노인에 대한 지식은 25점 만점에 13.14로 낮은 수준을 보였고, 영역별 노인에 대한 지식수준은 학년이 높을수록 높은 점수가 나타났다. 또한 노인관련 특성에 따른 영역별 지식수준은 노인을 이해하기 위한 교육과 노인관련 과목이 치위생과에 필요하다고 인식하는 학생이 노인의 신체적·생리적 영역에 대한 지식이 높게 나타났으며 노인관련 특성과 지식과의 상관관계에서도 노인관련 과목이 치위생과에 필요하다고 인식할수록 노인의 신체적·생리적 영역에 대한 지식이 높음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 치위생과 학생들은 노인을 이해하기 위한 교육이 필요하다고 인식할수록 노인의 신체적·생리적 영역에 대한 지식이 높고 노인의 심리적 영역에 대한 지식이 낮음을 알 수 있었다. 이상의 결과 노인과 관련 교육내용 개발 시 노인에 대한 심리적 영역의 교육 강화를 통해 학생들의 노인에 대한 이해도를 높이고 상호 긍정적인 작용을 할 수 있는 방법을 모색하여야 할 것으로 생각되었다. The purpose of this study was to examine of the elderly-related characteristics of dental hygiene students on their knowledge of the elderly in an effort to provide some information on how to improve the knowledge of dental hygiene students. The subjects in this study were 316 dental hygiene students in health colleges located in an urban community in South Gyeongsang. A survey was conducted to determine the impact of their characteristics related to the elderly on their knowledge of them. They got 13.14 out of possible 25 points in knowledge of the elderly. As for knowledge of the elderly in different domains, the students who were in the higher years of college scored better. Concerning the correlation between their characteristics related to the elderly and knowledge, the students who considered elderly-related courses more necessary for the department of dental hygiene were better knowledgeable about the physical and physiological domains of elderly people. Therefore its found that the dental hygiene students had a better knowledge on the physical and physiological domains of the elderly and had a less knowledge on their psychology when they were more aware of the necessity of education on the elderly.

        간호학생의 노인에 대한 지식과 태도 및 행동

        The purposes of this study were to investigate nursing students' Knowledge, attitudes and behavior toward the elderly and to identify the predictors of nursing student's knowledge, attitudes and behavior toward the elderly. The data were collected from 513 nursing students enrolled in ADN(Associate Degree in Nursing) program in Daegu by using structured questionnaire. The research producted following results: 1) The average score of the participants' knowledge of the elderly was 12.3±2.7 out of 25. The average attitude score was 86±11.7 out of 140. This score was classified as a neural range. The average behavior score was 57.5±6.9 out of 68. 2) Among general characteristic of the participants level of knowledge was statistically significant for age, religion, educational level. 3) Participants' knowledge toward the elderly was difference significantly present not living conditions, the degree of preference for offering the nursing care of the elderly. 4) Participants' attitude toward the elderly were statistically the significant difference in the degree of the familiar interaction with the elderly, the interest in the elderly and problems of the aged. 5) Participants' behavior toward the elderly were statistically the significant difference in the degree of a current relationship with the elderly , the familiar interaction with the elderly. 6) The correlation, coefficients of participants' knowledge, attitude and behavior toward the elderly were positively correlated. In conclusion, It is necessary to develop a program for continuous teaching and education that will help increase student nurse's knowledge of the elderly and thereby positively change attitude and behavior toward the elderly.

        요양보호사의 노인 이미지와 노인지식이 공격적 노인에 대한 긍정적 대처 행동에 미치는 영향

        본 연구의 목적은 요양보호사의 노인 이미지와 노인지식이 공격적 노인에 대한 긍정적 대처 행동에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는것이다. 이를 위하여 2020년 6월부터 8월까지 요양보호사를 대상으로 온라인/오프라인 설문조사를 하여 284부를 분석하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 21을 사용하여 빈도분석, 기술통계, 일변량분석, pearson의 상관관계 분석, 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 요양보호사의 노인 이미지는 사회적 이미지, 심리적 이미지, 신체적 이미지 순으로 긍정적으로 나타났으며, 연령, 종교, 근무기관, 담당 노인수, 시설 규모에 따라 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 노인지식 수준은 평균보다 낮았는데, 최종학력, 근무기관, 운영주체, 근무 기간에 따라유의한 차이가 나타났다. 요양보호사는 공격적 노인에 대하여 ‘언어적 토론’, ‘기분전환’, ‘발생 요인 제거’, ‘접촉’ 순으로 긍정적 대처를많이 하는 것으로 나타났다. 위계적 회귀분석으로 요양보호사의 노인 이미지, 노인지식이 공격적 노인에 대한 긍정적 대처 행동에미치는 영향을 살펴보았을 때 연령이 낮을수록, 노인 이미지가 부정적일수록, 노인지식 수준이 높을수록 긍정적 대처 행동을 하는것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과에 따라 장기요양기관을 이용하는 노인과 일반 노인의 차이를 이해하고, 노인에 대한 올바른 지식을제공하는 교육 매뉴얼 개발을 통해 요양보호사의 공격적 노인에 대한 긍정적인 대처가 증가할 수 있을 것이라는 제언을 하였다. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of the image of the elderly and knowledge of the elderly on the positive coping behavior of nursing care workers in the presence of aggressive elderly. For this purpose, an online/offline survey of 284 nursing care workers was conducted from June 2020 to August 2020. For the data analysis, frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson s correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis were performed using SPSS 21.0. According to the results, the images of the elderly held by nursing care workers were positive in terms of social image, psychological image, and physical image, and significant differences were found among workers depending on their age, religion, type of facilities, number of elderly residents in charge, and facility size. The level of elderly knowledge was lower than the average, and there were significant differences depending on level of educational, type of facility, and working period. It was found that nursing care workers responded positively to aggressive elderly in terms of verbal discussion , change of mood , removal of occurrence factors , and contact . Hierarchical regression analysis showed that the lower the ag e of the nursing care worker, the more negative the image of the elderly, a higher level of knowledge of the elderly was associated with an increase in positive coping behavior towards aggressive elderly. Based on these results, it was suggested that developing educational manuals that provide information on the differences between elderly in the general population and elderly using long-term care institutions, and correct knowledge of the elderly, should increase the positive coping behavior of nursing care workers in the presence of aggressive elderly.

        노인생애체험이 노인에 대한 이미지 변화에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to verify the effectiveness of the Elderly Life Experience Program, which is a direct experiential education for the elderly as part of the generation integration program, on the impact and relationship on changes in attitudes, knowledge, and image of the elderly. To achieve the purpose of the study, 205 college students who applied for senior citizen experience at the senior citizen experience center were selected and 205 people who agreed to the purpose of the study and faithfully answered the questionnaire were selected and a survey was conducted before and after the senior citizen experience experience. For data analysis, the average difference in attitudes and knowledge toward the elderly before and after the elderly life experience was analyzed using a paired-sample t test, and the relationship with image change was derived through correlation analysis to derive Pearson's correlation coefficient, and the relationship between the main variables was analyzed. Relationships and effects were verified through multiple regression analysis. The main results of this study are summarized as follows. First, college students' attitudes toward the elderly showed a significant mean difference across pre- and post-senior life experiences (t=-5.876***, p<.000), and there was a significant mean difference in positivity by subtype. did not appear, but in negative and neutral, significant mean differences were found in items that changed from negative to neutral or negative to positive, and in items that changed from neutral to positive. Second, college students' knowledge about the elderly showed a significant overall mean difference between pre- and post-elderly life experience (t=-7.773***, p<.000), and the subtypes of knowledge: physical/physiological, psychological, and social. There was also a significant mean difference by area. Third, the average frequency of college students who answered ‘very yes’ was 74% on whether the senior citizen experience helped them understand aging and change their positive image, indicating that the senior citizen experience positively influenced the change in the image of the elderly. It was found to have an effect. Fourth, as a result of analyzing descriptive statistics by characteristic to find out whether there are other variables that influence changes in attitudes, knowledge, and image of the elderly by college students' personal and general characteristics, no characteristics were found that showed significant differences in results. Fifth, as a result of multiple regression analysis to determine the relationship and influence between major variables, the relationship between the subtype variables of attitude and knowledge toward the elderly and the subtype variables of image change toward the elderly was partially significant. showed results. Accordingly, this study found that the life experience of the elderly improves understanding of the elderly and aging, positively influences changes in attitude, knowledge, and image of the elderly, and has a positive effect on physical, physiological, and social changes in the image and the resulting psychological and emotional changes. It is believed to be significant as a generational integration program that leads to understanding, empathy, and communication with the elderly. 본 연구의 목적은 세대통합 프로그램의 일환으로 노인에 대한 직접 체험 교육인 노인생애체험 프로그램이 노인에 대한 태도, 지식, 이미지 변화에 미치는 영향과 관계에 대하여 그 효과성을 검증하는 데 있다. 연구 목적 달성을 위해 노인생애체험센터에 노인생애체험을 신청한 대학생들을 대상으로 연구 취지에 동의하고 설문지에 성실히 답한 205명을 선정하여 노인생애체험 사전, 사후에 설문조사를 시행하였다. 자료 분석은 노인생애체험 사전, 사후에 노인에 대한 태도 및 지식의 평균 차이를 대응표본 t 검증으로 분석하였고, 이미지 변화와의 관계는 상관관계 분석을 통하여 Pearson의 상관계수를 도출하였으며 주요 변인들간의 관계와 영향은 다중 회귀분석을 통해 검증하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생들의 노인에 대한 태도는 노인생애체험 사전, 사후 전반에 걸쳐 유의한 평균의 차이를 보였으며(t=-5.876***, p<.000) 하위 유형별로 긍정에서는 유의한 평균의 차이가 나타나지 않았지만 부정과 중립에서는 부정에서 중립 혹은 긍정으로 변화하는 항목들과 중립에서 긍정으로 변화한 항목들에서 유의한 평균의 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 대학생들의 노인에 대한 지식은 노인생애체험 사전, 사후에 유의한 평균의 차이를 보였고(t=-7.773***, p<.000) 지식의 하위 유형인 신체적/생리적, 심리적, 사회적 영역에 대하여 영역별로도 유의한 평균 차이를 보였다. 셋째, 노인생애체험 이후 노화에 대한 이해와 긍정적 이미지 변화에 도움이 되었는지에 대하여 ‘매우 그렇다’고 답한 대학생들의 분포가 평균 74%의 빈도를 보여 노인생애체험이 노인에 대한 이미지 변화에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 대학생들의 개인적인 특성과 일반적인 특성에 의해 노인에 대한 태도, 지식, 이미지 변화에 영향을 미치는 다른 변인이 있는지 찾고자 특성별 기술통계 분석을 한 결과, 유의한 결과 차이를 보이는 특성을 찾지 못하였다. 다섯째, 주요 변인들간의 관계와 영향을 알아보기 위하여 다중 회귀분석으로 검증한 결과, 노인에 대한 태도 및 지식의 하위 유형 변인들과 노인에 대한 이미지 변화의 하위 유형 변인들간의 관계에서 부분적으로 유의한 결과가 나타났다. 이에 본 연구에서는 노인생애체험이 노인과 노화에 대한 이해를 증진시키고 노인에 대한 태도, 지식, 이미지 변화에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며 이미지의 신체적・생리적, 사회적 변화와 그에 따른 심리 및 정서적 변화에 긍정적 영향으로 노인에 대한 이해, 공감, 소통으로 이어지는 세대통합증진 프로그램으로 그 의의가 있다고 본다.

        본 연구의 목적은 노인대상 노인자원봉사경험 중학생이 지각한 노인지식과 노인부양의식의 관계에 있어서 노인이미지의 매개효과가 있는지에 대해 알아보았다. 이를 위해 서부경남의 중학생을 대상으로 2018년 5월 1일부터 5월 30일까지 설문조사 하여 노인대상 자원봉사경험 있는 285명을 최종 연구대상으로 하였다. 분석방법은 SPSS(20.0) 및 AMOS(20.0) program을 활용하여 분석하였으며, 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중학생이 지각한 노인지식이 노인부양의식에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 중학생이 지각한 노인지식이 노인부양의식에 미치는 영향에서 노인이미지가 매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 중학생들의 노인부양의식을 높이기 위한 실천적 개입 방안에 대해 함의를 제언하였다. This study aims to identify the mediating effect of the image of the elderly in the relationship between the knowledge about the elderly perceived by middle school students with volunteering experience for the elderly and the consciousness of supporting the elderly. To achieve this, 285 middle school students with volunteering experience for the elderly were finally analyzed in middle school students in West Gyeongnam area from May 1 to May 30, 2018. The analysis was made with SPSS(20.0) and AMOS(20.0) programs and our analysis results are as follows. First, it appeared that the knowledge about the elderly perceived by middle school students with volunteering experience for the elderly had an impact on the consciousness of supporting the elderly. Second, it appeared that the image of the elderly played a mediating role in the effect of the knowledge about the elderly perceived by middle school students on the consciousness of supporting the elderly. Based on such results, this study provides implications for practical intervention plans for improving the consciousness of supporting the elderly among middle school students.
