        급성 외상성 어깨 통증 환자에 대한 중성어혈약침과 전침의 효과에 관한 비교 연구

        Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Jungsongouhyul phamacopuncture and electroacupuncture on patients with acute traumatic shoulder pain. Methods : The patients with acute traumatic shoulder pain were diagnosed by blood stasis and divided two groups. One group was treated byJungsongouhyul phamacopuncture. The other group was treated by electroacupuncture. Each group was treated 3 times a week for 2 weeks. The results were measured by visual analog scale(VAS), range of abduction and internal rotation. Results : Two groups had no significant differences before treatment. Jungsongouhyul phamacopuncture group had effects on VAS, range of abduction and internal rotation significantly. Electroacupuncture group also had effects on VAS, range of abduction and internal rotation significantly. But there was no significant differences between two groups. Conclusions : Jungsongouhyul phamacopuncture and electroacupuncture have effect on patients with acute traumatic shoulder pain significantly.

        복분자 음곡 약침이 난소적출 흰쥐의 골다공증에 미치는 영향

        Objectives : The purpose of this study is to observe the effects of RUBI FRUCTUS phamacopuncture infusion solution at KI10 on osteoporotic Rats Induced by ovariectomy. Methods : The author performed several experimental items to analyze cytotoxic, osteoporosis evalu- ation, change of ALP, creatinine, Ca, P, osteocalcin, Ca/P ratio and histological change of serum and tibia. Results :1. Creatinine and phosphorus in serum was decreased significantly in RF-HA than control group. 2. Calcium and phosphorus in tibia was increased significantly in RF-HA than control group. 3. Osteoclast like cell in tibia was increased significantly in control group, decreased significantly in RF-HA. 4. In the histological study in tibia, TBT was significantly increased, GPL was significantly decreased in the RF-HA than control group. Conclusions : This study suggested that RF-HA at KI10 has significant effect on osteoporosis.

        봉독약침을 시행한 우측상악동의 악성 흑색종 환자에 대한 증례보고

        Objectives : It is the aim of this study to derive lurker studies evaluating the effectiveness of bee-venom phamacopuncture on malignant melanoma patients. We present a patient of malignant melanoma at right maxilla who survives over one year with stable disease (SD) by the treatment of Bee Venom Phamacopuncture (BVP). Methods : We followed the treatment and examination. We prescribed to the patient what to be taken 1.5cc BVP once a day. Picture series, Head series were followed-up and Neck computed tomography (CT) and positron emission tomography computed tomography (PET CT) were performed to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy. Results : The patient survives over one year and continued stable disease over 6 months. Picture series, Head series X-ray, neck CT and PET CT were shown no interval change. Conclusion : This case may give us the possibility that BVP offers potential benefits for patients with malignant melanoma.

        안면신경마비의 치료와 관련된 한의학 보고들에 대한 고찰

        Objectives : The aim of this study is to propose the treatment of Peripheral Facial paralysis using Korean medical treatment methods as acupuncture, Phmacopuncture, medicine and etc.Methods : Papers were searched in internet sites such as Nation Digital Science Library, Koreanstudies Information Service System, Research Information Sharing Service and The National Assembly Library with title and abstract ?Bell?s palsy? or ?Facial paralysis? and ?phamacopuncture? or ?bee venom? or?hominis placenta?etc.Results : 18 papers using phamacopuncture were selected. Most of all is used Bee Vemon Phamcopuncure and all of them used Acupuncture and Medicine therapies. And Groups used Phamacopuncture such as ?Bee Venom?,?Hominis Placenta?, ?Soyeom?, ?BUM?,?Jungsongoulhyul?etc are statistically improved compared to unused Groups.Conclusions : Acupuncture and Phamacopuncture are useful methods to improve the Peripheral Facial Paralysis, but further researchs are needed.

        Formalin으로 유도된 통증 모델에서 太谿穴(KI3)의 원엽 모고채(Drosera rotundifolia L.) 약침의 진통효과

        Objectives : The objective of this study is to evaluate the analgesic effects of Drosera rotundifolia L. pharmacopuncture on formalin-induced pain in Sprague-Dawley(SD) rats. Methods : In this experiment there were four groups, each with six SD rats. In the normal group (NOR), normal saline 40 μL was injected at right KI3, and normal saline 40 μL was injected at right hindpaw 35 minutes later. In the control group (CON), normal saline 40 μL was injected at right KI3, and formalin 5 % 40 μL was injected at right hindpaw 35 minutes later. In the Drosera rotundifolia L. pharmacopuncture 3 % group (DP3), Drosera rotundifolia L. pharmacopuncture 3 % 40 μL was injected at right KI3, and formalin 5 % 40 μL was injected at right hindpaw 35 minutes later. In the Drosera rotundifolia L. pharmacopuncture 5 % group (DP5), Drosera rotundifolia L. pharmacopuncture 5 % 40 μL was injected at right KI3, and formalin 5 % 40 μL was injected at right hindpaw 35 minutes later. We analyzed ultrasonic vocalization (USV), Substance P, aspartate aminotransferase(AST), and alanine aminotransferase(ALT). Results : In the early phase of USV, both DP3 and DP5 had an analgesic effect. In the late phase, DP5 had an analgesic effect compared to CON. Substance P in DP5 was significantly decreased compared to CON. In regards to blood AST and ALT, there was no significant difference among NOR, CON, DP3 or DP5. Conclusion : These results suggest that Drosera rotundifolia L. pharmacopuncture helps to reduce formalin-induced pain. It's mechanism is related to substance P, and Drosera rotundifolia L. pharmacopuncture has no influence on liver toxicity.

        Objective This case was to report a case of sports injury of Triangular Fibrocartilage Complex(TFCC) by combined acupuncture treatment. Methods The Patient was treated by combined acupuncture treatment consisted of acupuncture, pharmacopuncture, electroacupuncture, in-frared irradiation therapy. Treatment was evaluated by Numeric Rating Scale(NRS). Results & Conclusions After Treatment, Patient s NRS decreased and Patient can do sports activity like before injury. Combined acupuncture treatment may be effective for sports injury of TFCC.

        丁公藤玄胡索藥鍼이 류마티스 관절염 생쥐 모델에 미치는 영향

        A Study on the Effect of Erycibae Caulis and Corydalis Tuber Pharmacopuncture on a Mouse Model with Collagen Induced Rheumatoid Arthritis Hyun Ji Kim, Ju Hyun Jeon and Young Il Kim* Dept. of Acupuncture & Moxibustion, College of Korean Medicine, Daejeon University Objectives : The aim of the present study is to examine the effect and mechanism of Erycibae Caulis and Corydalis Tuber Pharmacopuncture (ECP) on a mouse model with collagen induced rheumatoid arthritis (CIA). Methods : We evaluated the Aspartate aminotransferase (AST), Alanine aminotransferase (ALT), Creatinine, and the Blood urea nitrogen (BUN) of serum to examine the safety of this study. In vivo, we compared the results of the non-treated group, the normal saline pharmacopuncture treated control group, the indomethacin treated group and the ECP group. We evaluated rheumatoid arthritis manifestation and the Rheumatoid Arthritis Index (AI). Also, immune cells in blood affected by ECP were evaluated by calculating the level of white blood cells (WBC), neutrophil, lympocytes and monocytes. Next, the level of Immunoglobulin M (IgM), Immunoglobulin G (IgG), Interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6, IL-17, Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF)-α and Granulocytemacrophage Stimulating Factor (GM-CSF)in serum were measured. We examined the imaging of cartilage degeneration using micro CT-arthrography of the hind paw. Additionally, we examined the effects of reducing bone volume (BV) ratio and bone surface/bone volume (BS/BV) ratio with 3D Micro-CT. Finally, we did a histopathologic examination analysis. Results : The absence of liver and kidney toxicity was evident. In vivo, edema of the joints of the ECP group decreased greatly in macroscopic observation. AI measurement of the ECP group also decreased significantly compared to the control group. The level of WBC, neutrophil, lympocytes, and monocytes in the blood decreased but there was no statistical significance of this data. IgM of the ECP group decreased significantly compared to the control group. IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, and GM-CSF production of the ECP group decreased significantly compared to the control group. As a result of examining joint condition with 3D micro CT, deformation and destruction of the joint was shown to have decreased. Bone density of ECP group increased at a statistically significant level compared to the control group. Degree of joint inflammation of ECP group decreased significantly compared to the control group. After H&E and M-T staining, infiltration of immune cells, subsidence of the cartilage, damage to the synovial cells and joint erosion decreased. Conclusion : This study showed that ECP hindered the process of rheumatoid arthritis and protected joints and cartilage.

      • 월상골 주위 탈구 환자의 한방 치료에 대한 치험 1례

        Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the clinical experience of Korean medical treatment for Perilunate dislocation. Methods : The patient was treated using acupuncture, electroacupuncture and pharmacopuncture treatment for 6 times. Reduction was performed at 5 days after injured. We evaluated the patient through verbal rating scale (VRS), disability of the arm, shoulder and hand (DASH), range of motion (ROM) before treatment performed. Results : VRS is changed from 7 to 4. DASH score is changed from 75.83 to 60. ROM is changed from 10° to 45° in wrist dorsal flexion, and from 10° to 30° in wrist plantar extension. Conclusions : Korean medical treatments including anatomical reduction improved pain and functional limitation of patient with perilunate dislocation.

        말초성 안면신경마비에 대한 매선요법과 SBV 약침치료의 효능 비교

        Objectives : This study was designed to compare the effect between needle-embedding therapy and sweet bee venom pharmacopuncture therapy on early stage of peripheral facial paralysis. Methods : We investigated 60 patients with peripheral facial paralysis. Subjects were randomly divided into two groups and dropped out 20 patients. : needle-embedding therapy group(group A, n=20, dropped out 9 cases among 29 cases) and sweet bee venom pharmacopuncture therapy group(group B, n=20, dropped out 11 cases among 31 cases). needle-embedding therapy was performed for group A three times a week dividing face into three areas during 4 weeks and Sweet bee venom pharmacopuncture therapy was performed for group B two or three times a week during 4 weeks. To evaluate the effect of treatment applied for two groups, we used Yanagihara’s unweighed grading system and House-Brachmann grading system at before treatment, after one week from visit, two weeks from visit, three weeks from visit, and four weeks from visit. Results : After treatment, Yanagihara’s score and House-Brachmann grading system were improved in each group except during first week. But there was no significant difference in improvement between group A and group B. Conclusions : Needle-embedding therapy would be as effective to improve symptoms of early stage of peripheral facial paralysis as sweet bee venom pharmacopuncture therapy.

      • 계작지모가우슬탕(桂芍知母加牛膝湯) 약침이 류마티스 관절염 생쥐에 미치는 영향

        Objectives : The purpose of this study is to prove the effect and mechanism of Gamikyejakjimogawusul-tang(GKHA) herbal acupuncture on induced rheumatoid arthritis model of DBA/1 mice. Methods : We check effect of GKHA extract on the AST, ALT, Creatinine, BUN of serum and cell viability of GK extract in RAW 264.7 cells to test the stability of this study. In vitro, we measure total phenol contents, total flavonoid contents, DPPH free radical scavenging activity, ABTS cation radical scavenging activity of Gamikyejakjimogawusul-tang, effect of GK extract on ROS(Reactive Ooxygen Species) production to estimate a anti-oxidant capacity, and we also measure effect of GK extract on NO (Nitric Oxid), IL-1β, IL-6, IL-17, IL-21, TNF-α, MCP-1, GM-CSF production in RAW 264.7 cells to estimate a anti-inflammatory efficacy. In vivo, we compare a rheumatoid arthritis manifestation between control and experimental group and estimate a AI. Then we check effect of GKHA on the level of WBC, neutrophil, lympocyte, monocyte in the blood to see the effect of immune cells in blood. In addition we measure effect of GKHA on the level of hs-CRP, IgM, IgG, IL-1β, IL-6, IL-17, IL-21, TNF-α, MCP-1, GM-CSF in serum. We observe effects of GKHA on imaging of cartilage degeneration using micro CT-arthrography in paw hind. And we calculate effects of GKHA that reduced BV ratio, BS/BV ratio using 3D Micro-CT. Lastly we observe effects of GKHA histopathologic examination analysis. Results : 1. The toxicity on liver and kidney was disregardable and the cytotoxicity against RAW 264.7 cells was also disregardable. < In vitro > 1. Total phenol contents and total flavonoid contents in GK extract were in high level. 2. DPPH free radical scavenging activity and ABTS cation radical scavenging activity were increased according to concentration of GK extract 3. ROS production was significantly decreased in GK extract (at 10, 100 ㎍/ml). 4. NO, IL-6, TNF-α, MCP-1 production were significantly decreased in GK extract(at 10, 100 ㎍/ml). IL-17, GM-CSF production were significantly decreased in GK extract(at 1, 10, 100 ㎍/ml). IL-1β, IL-21 production were also decreased but there was no statistical significance. 5. 25x observation after H&E and M-T staining, infiltration of immune cells and subsidence of the cartilage and damage to the synovial cells were decreased. Conclusions : This study showed that GKHA extract had anti-oxidant capacity, anti-inflammatory efficacy. GKHA extract also had inhibiting effect on the process of rheumatoid arthritis and can protect joint and cartilage. So we expect that GKHA extract can be a meaningful treatment to rheumatoid arthritis patients.
