Since the 4th Industrial Revolution appeared as a hot topic at the Davos Forum in 2016, various academic fields have been in a hurry to respond to the 4th Industrial Revolution. Interest in the Fourth Industrial Revolution is also increasing in the humanities field including history, but it is thought that the response to this is still sluggish. The purpose of this study is to find a link between the 4th Industrial Revolution and history, and more specifically, how to incorporate big data techniques into the field of history, especially ancient Korean history In fact, historical science has the longest character of data science in that it uses vast historical sources for research. However, it is also true that it will not be easy to find the point of contact between big data seeking correlation and history studies aiming to investigate causality. However, this view overestimated the status of big data, and it was thought that if big data was used only as a tool for conducting historical research, historical research could be carried out more efficiently. This study performed big data-based text network analysis to combine such big data with research on ancient Korean history. The research trend of Korean ancient history, which spans about 75 years from independence to the 2010s, is largely divided into 7 periods, and attemped text mining and social network analysis. The results of analysis based on big data were compared with the results of previous discussions on the research trend of ancient Korean history. In fact, if the research on ancient history, which requires close and careful consideration of historical sources, is analyzed only quantitatively, it can be seen as a risk of distorting the historical truth. However, the big data-based research went beyond such a simple quantitative approach to construct a virtual network by deriving keywords for historical sources or research trend papers to understand the status and influence of keywords in the network and their relationship to each other. Although some limitations have been exposed during the demonstration process, the frame itself of the analysis presented by this study is expected to function fully as a link to initiate quality follow-up studies of good quality. In this article, we reviewed several issues focusing on the current situation and assignment of using Korean history digital materials. In particular, limited to Korean history materials, we examined the current use and use of digital materials, as well as research for new expansion, from a historical perspective. First, we discussed what role existing historical research could play in digitizing Korean history materials and what its historical significance was. Next, in order to check the current state of utilization of Korean history digital materials, we used and analyzed the contents of the Korean history database of the National Institute of Korean History, which provides a variety of contents to date. The contents were largely examined through lists by era and type, which expanded the existing Korean history database data as much as possible, and also gave a glimpse of the expansion of non-literary data rather than literary data. Next, as a starting point for the expansion of digital materials on Korean history, we sufficiently reviewed existing research results and raised the need to find new solutions. Among them, the field of ‘History electronic maps’ based on computerized historical information, the development strategy of the classic anthology system through computerization of Korean ancient texts, big data work using digital materials with the help of computers, visual materials and media. We observed that there are attempts to supplement the gaps in literature through data. In addition, the writer attempted to address the issue of utilizing image data from old texts centered on 『Samguksagi』 and 『Samgukyusa』, namely, ‘Edition bibliography 板本書誌學’ as an alternative.

한국사 연구와 디지털역사학 연구방법론 -양적분석을 중심으로-

역사학계는 디지털시대 한국사 빅데이터의 등장으로 인해 그에 걸맞은 연구방법론의 변화를 요구받고 있다. 그것에 동의하든 그렇지 않든 간에 그 변화의 방향성과 방법론을 모색해야 하는 단계에 이르렀다. 본 논문의 목적은 빅데이터와 디지털시대에 한국사 연구가 직면한 도전에 적극적으로 대처할 수 있는 방법을 찾는 것이다. 그 일환으로 필자는 한국사 연구에서 기존의 질적연구의 가치를 유지하면서 디지털 기술을 융합하는 새로운 연구 패러다임을 제시하고, 그것을 '디지털역사학'으로 명명하였다. 그 과정에서 양적 데이터로의 전환과 한국사 데이터에 최적화된 분석방법론의 모색이 디지털역사학의 핵심이라는 점을 확인하였다. Since around 2000 years, plenty of historical materials have been digitized in various formats in the field of Korean history. Due to the structural transition from the era with limited access to an era of infinite information access, Korean history research faces challenges in many ways. The purpose of this paper is to find a way to actively cope with the challenges Korean history research faces in the big data and the digital era. It is intended to present a new research paradigm that converges digital technology while maintaining the value of existing qualitative research in Korean history research. This paper presents the quantitative research methodology based on digital history that the AIRG(Ajou Interdisciplinary Research Group) has tried so far as called it ‘digital history'.

텍스트마이닝과 네트워크 분석을 통한 한국체육사 연구의 시대별 지적구조 분석

The purpose of this study is to derive the knowledge structure of physical education history and to analyze the research trend by using text mining and network analysis. The range was set up as a paper published for 20years from the first issue of Korean Journal of Physical Education history. The data was extracted from the theses of the thesis and used in the network analysis for deriving knowledge structure through text mining process. As a result of analysis, modern physical education history has a `Small World Network` form in which most keywords are closely related to each other. In addition, it is one of the ways to explore the theme of the theme of the physical education history by searching for the theme of high mediation, proximity. Through this study, it is expected that the possibility of historical insight of new perspectives that can be expected from quantitative history research as well as the expansion of domestic history research can be expected to increase the capacity and role of historian from the perspective of `big data` humanities.
