The purpose of this study is to identify the problems by analyzing the current situation of multicultural books at public libraries in Incheon Metropolitan City through literature research and case investigation, and to suggest a plan for collection development and operation of multicultural books which features the Incheon Metropolitan City. For this we analyzed the current holding amount of multicultural books of 7 libraries that are equipped and provide multicultural books in Incheon Metropolitan City, compared the multicultural library collection of the population, and also analyzed the number of books per person across the countries. As a result of this analysis, after the investigation and the actual proof analysis the current holding condition of multicultural collection at 7 representative libraries of Incheon Metropolitan City was found to be weighted on the English and Chinese materials. And Effective multicultural services have been confirmed to be unfulfilled. To solve this problem, the Multicultural Collection Standards and budget should be prepared for the composition of multicultural books considering the regional characteristics of Incheon Metropolitan City. And representative multicultural library in Incheon Metropolitan City should be designated so that it can control every library, connect multicultural books, and consistently develop multicultural collection by cooperating through information exchange of each library

공공도서관 사서의 라키비움에 대한 인식 연구: 인천광역시를 중심으로

The purpose of this study was especially to find out the recognition and necessity of establishing Larchiveum, the ways of building Larchiveum, the prerequisites when building Larchiveum, the expected effect in Larchiveum for enhancing the role of public libraries, that are the representative cultural organizations in local, around Incheon metropolitan city where many changes from the past to the present happened through cultural heritages and long history. To accomplish this purpose, we conducted a survey about the Larchiveum recognition targeting 114 librarians in public libraries in Incheon area with use of analysis on realizing similar services to Larchiveum in public libraries of Incheon and IBM SPSS Statistics version 21. As a result, a library that implements the Larchiveum similar services were 13 libraries. The results from a Larchiveum recognition survey of 114 librarians who work in Incheon public libraries were as follows. First, more than half of librarians answering the survey question about ‘Larchiveum’ term were simply told about the term but were not defining an accurate concept. This study analyzes the dynamic relationships between interests in paternal-parenting reality TV programs and changes in the audience’s perception of fathers' involvement in parenting. First, this study investigates the search term data of the portal site that can represent the cognitive, behavioral and affective dimensions of parasocial interaction and TV ratings of < superman came back > using an ARIMA time series analysis. The results show that TV ratings were positively related to behavioral interaction, whereas such an association was not observed for affective interaction. Also, TV ratings did not have a significant influence on cognitive interaction. Based on the results, the increase of TV ratings on paternal-parenting reality programs leads to more active information search activities online. However, the increase of TV ratings on father-parenting reality programs didn't have a significant influence on either cognitive interaction, which entails applying the educational implications of the program to one's real life, or affective interaction, which involves adjusting one's image of an ideal father figure.

Korea and China have recently gained reputations as desirable destination countries for potential migrants across Asia. Though two countries have very different approaches in perceiving, treating, and accepting migrants, they also share similarities in that they both host a large number of individuals and families with Chinese and Korean citizenship as well as their descendents. This study was conducted with an aim to examine social policies for ethnic minorities and immigrants in each country as an effort to build better understanding of policy implications for many of the immigrants residing in each country. Through literature and policy reviews, the findings reveal that both countries are far from holding multicultural stance in their policy implications, and that their policies and programs are yet limited and confined to certain groups of immigrants.
