In this paper, the plastic flow curve of commercially pure titanium sheet (CP Ti) has been evaluated using Tensile test and Hydraulic bulge test. The plastic flow curve known as hardening curve is a key on factor needed in conducting finite element analysis for the forming process of sheet material. However, several sheet forming processes lead to the large plastic deformation of which the plastic strain is over the maximum uniform elongation of uniaxial tensile test, for instance, clinch forming, hydroforming, stamping and deep drawing. Therefore, we have performed tensile and a hydraulic bulge test for CP Ti sheet. We also have used and evaluated three method that convert from hydraulic bulge flow curve to tensile flow curve. The measured true flow curve from the hydraulic bulge test can be fitted well by the hardening equation known as Kim-Tuan model.

The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the expression of cardiac marker protein in rabbit cardiac tissue that was exposed to ischemic preconditioning (IPC), or ischemiareperfusion injury (IR) using two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2DE) and matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization mass spectrometry (MALDI-MS). We compared 2DE gels of control (uninjured) cardiac tissue with those of IPC and IR cardiac tissue. Expression of one protein was detected in IR heart tissue, however the protein was not detected in the samples of control and IPC tissue. To further characterize the detected protein molecule, the protein in the 2D gel was isolated and subjected to trypsin digestion, followed by MALDI-MS. The protein was identified as myoglobin, which was confirmed also by Western blot analysis. These results are consistent with previous studies of cardiac markers in ischemic hearts, indicating myoglobin as a suitable marker of myocardial injury. In addition, the present use of multiple techniques indicates that proteomic analysis is an appropriate means to identify cardiac markers in studies of IPC and IR.

Kim, Youngsuk,Han, Hee,Kim, Yunseok,Lee, Woo,Alexe, Marin,Baik, Sunggi,Kim, Jin Kon American Chemical Society 2010 NANO LETTERS Vol.10 No.6
<P>An ultrahigh density array of epitaxial PbTiO3 (PTO) nanoislands with uniform size was fabricated on a single-crystalline Nb-doped SrTiO3 (100) substrate over a large area (cm2 scale) by simple but robust method utilizing polystyrene-<I>block</I>-poly(4-vinylpridine) copolymer micelles. Each nanoisland has an average volume of 2.6 × 103 nm3 (a height of 7 nm and a diameter of 22 nm). Because of uniform nanoislands over a large area, a synchrotron X-ray diffraction experiment was successfully employed to analyze the domain structures of PTO nanoislands. They showed well-defined epitaxy on the substrate, which was also confirmed by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. All of the nanoislands existing in the entire area showed distinct piezoresponse that confirms the existence of ferroelectricity at this size. The results indicate that the critical size of ferroelectrics could be scaled-down further, thereby much increasing the density of ferroelectric devices.</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/nalefd/2010/nalefd.2010.10.issue-6/nl100819d/production/images/medium/nl-2010-00819d_0006.gif'></P><P><A href='http://pubs.acs.org/doi/suppl/10.1021/nl100819d'>ACS Electronic Supporting Info</A></P>

<P>This study examined how the strain rate affects the room-temperature tensile behavior of hydrogen-charged 316L stainless steels. A high-temperature homogenization treatment was applied to the specimens after hydrogen charging and copper electroplating to remove the hydrogen concentration gradient. A softening phenomenon was observed in the hardening behavior of the H-charged and homogenized specimen at a strain rate of 2×10−3/s. The observation was further confirmed by an inspection of the fracture surface of the tensile test specimen.</P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Cefadroxil and cefradine have frequently been detected in surface waters, however toxicological studies in aquatic organisms have mostly been limited to acute lethal effects. In the present study, endocrine disruption caused by cefadroxil and cefradine, and its underlying mechanism were investigated by chronic exposure of <I>Daphnia magna</I> (21 d) and <I>Oryzias latipes</I> (120 d). In medaka fish, the effects on growth, mortality, and reproduction, as well as on the levels of hormones and genes related to the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonad (HPG) axis, were investigated after 120 d exposure. In <I>D. magna</I>, the chronic effects on growth were observed at the highest concentration of 83.0 mg L−1 cefadroxil and 80.8 mg L−1 cefradine. The growth of juvenile fish was significantly impaired by exposure to cefradine. Following exposure to cefadroxil and cefradine for 120 d, sex-dependent changes in E2 hormones were observed and their levels were supported by the regulation of genes along the HPG axis. We found that chronic exposure to cefadroxil and cefradine impaired growth and reproduction in a freshwater invertebrate and fish, and altered the levels of sex hormones and genes associated with the HPG axis in fish.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Cefadroxil and cefradine impaired growth in a freshwater invertebrate and a fish. </LI> <LI> Cephalosporin antibiotics altered gene transcriptions of the HPG axis in fish. </LI> <LI> Cefadroxil and cefradine modulated sex hormones and genes in a sex-dependent way. </LI> </UL> </P>

Korean society is aging at a fast rate and the ratio of elderly population is expected to increase by 38.2% in 2050 (Statistics Korea, 2011). The extension of average life expectancy of the elderly generation leads to various problems and the most important issue is the mental health of the elderly. The suicide rate of the elderly is increasing every year and is the highest rate among OECD nations (OECD, 2014). The primary reason for the rapidly increasing suicide rate is psychological hardship caused by personal, social, and environmental factors such as a generation gap from nuclearization, decreased social position, retirement, economic hardship, spousal bereavement, and separation. The importance of education to improve quality of life through the mental stability of the elderly generation is emphasized. Continued education has a positive effect on the physical, social, and psychological health of the elderly generation (Kim, 2011), successful aging (Jee, 2010), and quality of life (Kim &An, 2008). Arts and crafts education can achieve development in visual perception, sense of touch, and continued elderly education (Mo, 2011). Arts and crafts education improves accomplishments and creative thinking ability through analogue behavior of making by hand. This study conducted 12 hours of education for 3 days from 1pm to 5 pm at 1 week intervals on 5 elderly women between 55 and 70 years of age to investigate physical and psychological effects on elderly women through natural wool craft activity. Before the education, the anxiety degree of subjects of the past week was measured with the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) to verify the effect of sensibility education by conducting electroencephalogram(EEG) and PortaLite before after conducting education on subjects. As a result of analyzing the before and after numerical mean value through brainwave test, the increasing phenomenon of an alpha waves appeared and showed that the psychology of subjects is stable and secure. The result of this study showed that wool craft education decreased anxiety, increased alpha waves and improved the psychological stability of elderly women.

In this paper, the new implementation method of Parking Guide Line based on Xiaolin Wu[1] algorithm proposed. The proposed method not only can implement high quality Parking Guide Line image but also lower scale integration than other method. This method consists of straight line that has a thickness and two anti-aliasing straight line in High-Definition image size. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method reduces the aliasing artifact and hardware resources.

<P>IPr (1a) reacts with octafluorotoluene by an unexpected sequential substitution of fluorides in two separate rings. The resulting tetra-substituted imidazolium salt was isolated and elaborated into Ag(I) and Au(I) complexes with a novel abnormal NHC ligand. Both IPr (1a) and IMes (1b) were also found to be moderately reactive by nucleophilic substitution of the aromatic C-F bond in a weakly-activated fluoro-arene, 1-fluoro-4-trifluoromethylbenzene (5).</P>
An air-stable N-heterocyclic carbene iminoxyl borate radical zwitterion
Kim, Youngsuk,Lee, Eunsung The Royal Society of Chemistry 2018 Chemical communications Vol.54 No.50
<P>A remarkably stable radical zwitterion derived from N-heterocyclic carbene nitric oxide and B(C6F5)3 is reported. The presented radical was generated by steric and electronic protection of the nitric oxide moiety using B(C6F5)3, which secured its stability toward air and moisture. An analogous yet less stable radical derived from C(C6H5)3+ is also synthesized and characterized.</P>
