      • Comparison of trophic factors changes in the hippocampal CA1 region between the young and adult gerbil induced by transient cerebral ischemia.

        <P>In the present study, we investigated neuronal death/damage in the gerbil hippocampal CA1 region (CA1) and compared changes in some trophic factors, such as brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), in the CA1 between the adult and young gerbils after 5 min of transient cerebral ischemia. Most of pyramidal neurons (89%) were damaged 4 days after ischemia-reperfusion (I-R) in the adult; however, in the young, about 59% of pyramidal neurons were damaged 7 days after I-R. The immunoreactivity and levels of BDNF and VEGF, not GDNF, in the CA1 of the normal young were lower than those in the normal adult. Four days after I-R in the adult group, the immunoreactivity and levels of BDNF and VEGF were distinctively decreased, and the immunoreactivity and level of GDNF were increased. However, in the young group, all of their immunoreactivities and levels were much higher than those in the normal young group. From 7 days after I-R, all the immunoreactivities and levels were apparently decreased compared to those of the normal adult and young. In brief, we confirmed our recent finding: more delayed and less neuronal death occurred in the young following I-R, and we newly found that the immunoreactivities of trophic factors, such as BDNF, GDNF, and VEGF, in the stratum pyramidale of the CA1 in the young gerbil were much higher than those in the adult gerbil 4 days after transient cerebral ischemia.</P>

        Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the extent of diffusion of Intravenous infusion nursing practice guideline among nurses in advanced general hospitals and general hospitals in Korea. Methods: The subjects were 234 nurses who practice the intravenous infusion in 24 advanced general hospitals and general hospitals. Data were collected between October 5 and November 2, 2015 by mail (return rates: 97.5 %). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, and ANOVA with SPSS/ WIN 21. Results: The average guideline diffusion score and levels of diffusion was 3.39±0.58 (level of “use sometimes”). 44 recommendations (46%) were in level of “use always” and 50 recommendations (53%) were in “use sometimes”. Extent of diffusion were significantly different according to present status (F=2.81, p=.040) and education (F=4.35, p=.014). The facilitating factors to use the guideline were education by department of nursing service, convenient composition of guideline and barrier factors were “no time to use the guideline”, “don’t know the guideline” and “there is no guideline at ward”. Conclusion: Extent of diffusion of Intravenous infusion nursing practice guideline among nurses was moderate level. The strategies for promoting the implementation of guideline in clinical practice is needed. Further study of outcome evaluation of guideline implementation will be needed.

      • Mo 섬유강화 Al 기지 복합재료의 계면반응 및 기계적성질에 관한 연구

        In this study, the molybdenum fiber reinforced 5052 Al alloy matrix composite were fabricated with copper coated and uncoated molybdenum fiber. These fibers were aligned on the aluminum alloy sheets and these sheets were diffusion bonded at 873K under 49MPa pressure using vaccum hot press. Examination of the fiber/matrix interface using SEM, EDS, X-ray diffraction indicated that several compounds formed at the interface. The reaction layer was found to form at a faster rate at the copper coated Mo/Al alloy composite interface than at uncoated Mp/Al alloy composite interface. A simple calculation showed that the reaction layer formation rate with the coated molybdenum fiber is controlled by the diffusion of aluminum through the copper coating layer. It was exhibited that copper coated Mo/Al alloy composite were lower strength than uncoated Mo/Al alloy composite with the after heat treatment. The observation of the fracture surfaces after tensile tests revealed that the fracture mode of the molybdenum fiber in as hot pressed composites was fibrous ductile fracture. On the other hand, the mode changed to a brittle cleavage mode in composites heat treated at 873K.

      • 원심모형실험에 의한 모래다짐말뚝의 지지력 산정식 연구

        Centrifuge model tests were performed to find appropriate equations proposed previously of estimating the bearing capacity of the composite clayey soil reinforced with sand compaction pile. Model tests were carried out with changing the replacement ratio of SCP (20%, 40%, 70%), contents of fine materials (5%, 10%, 15%) and ratio of treated width to loading width (1B, 2B, 3B). Test results about bearing capacity of the composite ground were obtained by performing the surcharge load tests with measurements of applied loads and vertical displacement. Bearing capacities against bulging and shear failures were estimated by the existing equations. As results of comparing the estimated bearing capacity with experimental values the bearing capacities estimated by Greenwood's equation (1970) for bulging failure mode were similar to the test results.

        In this paper, an numerical approach is performed to investigate the effects of smear zone, occurred by penetrating vertical drains, on consolidation behavior of soft clay deposits. Such a numerical analysis is applied to the field condition to confirm its applicability. Parametric numerical analyses is carried out to study influencing factors such as permeability in smear zone, boundary of smear zone and discharge capacity of vertical drains on the consolidation of soil. As results of analyses, for the given conditions of soil, degree of consolidation is getting faster with increase of permeability of vertical drain. Degree of consolidation is delayed with decrease of permeability of smear zone. As the ratio of drain width to smear zone increases, the degree of consolidation decreases. Proposed values of influencing factors by previous researchers is found to be reliable from results of numerical analyses with Cam-clay model.

        경찰활동상 GIS의 확대보급에 따른 쟁점과 과제

        Geographical information system(GIS) is a new information technology that can be used to enhance the effectiveness of policing. It is used to identify the crime hot spots, trace the criminals, and develop the crime intervention schemes. The police of the Western countries began to use GIS in policing in the last 20 years. The Korean police adopted GIS, but the use of GIS in policing has been very limited. GIS based crime analysis is a way to achieve the systematization of the police work scientifically. This paper begins with an overview of GIS and some examples of crime mapping analytic methods. Based on suggested methods and cases, and with a descriptive sketch of the development process of GIS in the korea police, this paper discusses some technical and organizational issues for the advancement of the use of GIS. Also, this paper explores the problem of information in GIS. Introduction of new information technologies by the rapid growth of IT industries, especially GIS, has changed the citizens' lives. Technical improvement in handling information by national agencies has many problems such as possibilities of surveillance, supervision and control by the government. Gathering information by police has great importance, and its role also is increasing. Police deal with individual's information more frequently than any other national agencies. Consequently, as necessities of information activity is expanding and gathering and processing the information is easier, the possibility that policing on individual information infringes on citizens' constitutional rights is becoming real. Policing by the government is a kind of infringement. So, in order to gather and process individual's information we need to have legal bases on police enforcement. But we still don't have legally proper provisions. We can't deny the necessities of gathering and processing individual's information by the police. Therefore, suitable provisions and legal bases for that should be maintained and prepared. As for the infringement by the police, I propose precisely prescribing the conditions and limits of information activities, and liability for violation in the related legislation on police enforcement. 현대사회의 복잡하고 다변화된 사회에서 시민이 요구하는 치안서비스에 부응하려면 보다 적극적인 사전예방적 치안활동이 필요한데 이를 위해서 정보란 필수적인 것이다. 따라서 경찰업무의 많은 부분은 정보를 통하여 정보력에 따라 좌우된다고 할 수 있다. 이 정보와 관련하여 경찰은 수집과 공개라는 양가적 지위에 서게 된다. 종전에는 경찰은 직무수행을 위해 경찰이 정보를 수집하는 것은 당연한 권한으로 여겼을 뿐 법적 문제는 관심 밖이었지만 최근 사회전반에서 고도화된 정보기술은 개인의 자율성을 해치고 민주주의 자체를 위협할 수 있다는 인식이 본격화되기 시작하면서, 정보활동에 대한 생각에 변화를 가져오게 된 것이다. 지리정보시스템은 범죄자 프로파일링, 지역사회경찰활동, 범죄예방적 서비스에 확대에 기여하였으며, 정보제공자로서 경찰로 하여금 각종 정보를 쉽게 수집할 수 있게 되었지만 경찰은 정보의 수집과 정보의 공개에 있어서 법적인 근거와 그 집행에 있어 해석 적용에 있어 여러 가지 문제점을 직면하고 있다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 과학기술의 발달에 따른 지리정보시스템보급에 따라 경찰활동시 쟁점을 살펴봄으로써 미력하나마 인식을 환기하고자 한 것이다.

        Gastritis cystica profunda (GCP) is a disease characterized by hyperplastic and significant extension of cystic dilatation of the gastric mucous glands, which results in a cystic lesion in gastric submucosa. It often occurs on the part of gastroenterostomy, but can be found in the stomach without any previous surgery. GCP has variable gross finding including solitary polyps, diffuse ones, submucosal tumors, and rare giant gastric mucosal fold. It is difficult to tell GCP from a cancerous lesion by gross finding that the disease demands a necessary tissue biopsy, though GCP is commonly showed as a benign in the progress. We report a case of GCP in polypoid types diagnosed by endoscopic polypectomy.
