Purpose: Probabilistic safety analysis was performed to enhance the safety and reliability of nuclear power plants because traditional deterministic approach has limitations in predicting the risk of failure by crack growth. The study introduces a probabilistic approach to establish a basis for probabilistic safety assessment of passive components. Methods: For probabilistic modeling of fatigue crack growth rate (FCGR), various FCGR tests were performed either under constant load amplitude or constant ΔK conditions by using heat treated X-750 at low temperature with adequate cathodic polarization. Bayesian inference was employed to update uncertainties of the FCGR model using additional information obtained from constant ΔK tests. Results: Four steps of Bayesian parameter updating were performed using constant ΔK test results. The standard deviation of the final posterior distribution was decreased by a factor of 10 comparing with that of the prior distribution. Conclusion: The method for developing a probabilistic crack growth model has been designed and demonstrated, in the paper. Alloy X-750 has been used for corrosion fatigue crack growth experiments and modeling. The uncertainties of parameters in the FCGR model were successfully reduced using the Bayesian inference whenever the updating was performed.
FBMC-QAM 시스템에서의 부반송파 인덱스 변조 기법

본 논문에서는 FBMC (filter-bank multicarrier) 시스템 기반의 인덱스 변조 (IM : index modulation) 기법에 대하여 다루고, FBMC 시스템에서 발생하는 내재적인 간섭을 제거하는 프리코딩 과정을 포함한 FBMC-IM 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 인덱스 변조가 수행된 각 부집합 간 간섭을 줄이기 위해 블록 대각화 기반의 프리코딩 과정을 수행한다. 실험을 통해 FBMC-IM 시스템이 기존 FBMC 시스템 대비 간섭에 강인한 특성을 가질 수 있으며, 제안한 프리코딩을 포함한 FBMC-IM 시스템의 타당성에 대하여 확인한다. In this paper, we introduce the filter-bank multicarrier (FBMC) system based index modulation (IM) scheme and propose the index modulation with precoding scheme, which can provide robustness to intrinsic interference of FBMC system. The proposed scheme applies the block diagonalization based precoding scheme to each subblocks to reduce the interference between the subblocks. Simulation result shows that the FBMC-IM system can have robustness against interference with the conventional FBMC system, and confirms the validity of the proposed index modulation with precoding scheme.
자동차 충돌해석을 위한 구조용 접착제 유한 요소 해석 모델 개발

A very successful approach among the many things done is the use of structural adhesive, which have brought significant improvements in automobile for the reason that adhesive-bonded joints can reduce the stress concentration compared to mechanical joints, increase strength and endure against the environment variable such as corrosion. The objective of this paper is to develop structural adhesive model for car crash analysis. The power of the FEA for predicting the structural integrity of adhesively bonded vehicle structure is apparent. To obtain mechanical properties of the adhesives, First, Tensile test and shear test were carried out for material properties of structural adhesive such as young's modulus, shear modulus, strain- stress curves. Second, correlation between test and FEA is conducted to verify that the adhesive material properties derived earlier do indeed represent the mechanical properties of the physical adhesives in the single lap shear test, T-peel test, wedge impact test, three point bending test and compression test.
구조용 폼과 플라스틱 보강재를 적용한 모자 단면 부재의 좌굴 특성 분석

The modern automotive industry develops innovative vehicle designs to meet increasing stability of car and performance demands of their customers. The improvement of frame rigidity by the structural foam is thought to be an effective means to improve the performance because of high applicability and minimum weight. The object of this paper is to examine the use of structural foam in a hat section as an optimum reinforcing means, to compare the reinforcing performance of structural foam versus a plastic reinforcement. The result of this paper indicated that reinforcing efficiencies are achieved by structural foam and plastic reinforcement shape.
