        The steroid molecules as carriers of alkylating agents were attached to biologically active moiety to synthesize a series of cholesterol derivatives of N-(2-chloroethyl) carbamoyl-3α-amino-4-cholestene, N-(2-chloroethyl) carbamoyl-3β-amino-4-cholestene, N-methylcarbmoyl-3α-amino-4-cholestene and N-methyl carbamoyl-3β-amino-4-cholestene, N-(2-chloroethyl) nitrosocarbamoyl-3α-amino-4-cholesteme. N-(2-chloroethyl) nitrosocarbamoyl-3β-amino-4-cholestene, N-methylnitrosocarbamoyl-3α-amino-4-cholestene, N-methylnitrosocarbamoyl-3β-amino-4-cholestene. The cholest-4-ene-3-one oxime was synthesized by the treatment of Cholest-4-ene-3-one with hydroxylamine hydrochloride and potassiuncarbonate in methanol solution. The 3α-amino-4-cholestene and 3β-amino-4-cholestene were synthesized by the treatment of cholest-4-ene-3-one oxime with LiAlH₄in anhydrous diethylether solution. The N-(2-chloroethyl) carbamoyl-3α-amino-4-chloestene, N-(2-chloroethyl) carbamoyl-3β-amino-4-cholestene, N-methylcarbamoyl-3α-amino-4-cholestene and N-methylcarbamoyl-3β-amino-4-cholestene for potential antimicrobial agents were synthesized by a reaction of 3β-amino-4-cholestene and 3β-amino-4-cholest-ene withe respective methylisocyanate and 2-chlorothlisocyanate in annydrous benzene solvent under the phridine. The N-(2-chloroethyl) nitrosocarbamoyl-3α-amino-cholestene, N-(2-chloroethyl) nitrosocarbamoyl-3α-amino-4-cholestene, N-methylnitrosocarbamoyl-3α-amino-4-cholestene and N-methylnitrosocarbamoyl-3α-amino-4-cholestene were prepared by the treatment of sodiumnitrate in anhydrous formic acid with respective N-(2-chloroethyl) carbamoyl-3α-amino-4-cholestene, N-(2-chloroethyl) carbamoyl-3β-amino-4-chloestene, N-methylcarbamoyl-3α-amino-4-cholestene and N-methylc-arbamoyl-3α-amino-4-cholestene. Thin layer chromatography, determination of meltion point, Infrared spectroscopy and Nu-clear Magnatic Resonance spectroscopy were usedin identifing the structure of those compounds.

      • 새로운 Acetylcholinesterase inhibitors의 합성

        노인성 치매의 일종인 alzheimer's disease의 효과적인 억제제를 합성하기 위해 우리는 분자 모델링에 의한 가장 적합한 물질인 m-[(N,N,N-trimethylammonio)phenyl]boronic acid를 합성하였다. 출발물질인 3-aminophenylboronic acid monohydrate의 경우 boronic acid의 작용기인 hydroxyl group을 protecting시킴으로써 반응의 안정성을 기하였다. Quarternary ammonium salt는 과량의 methyliodide와 염기 촉매인 potassium hydrogen carbonate를 사용하여 용매인 methanol에서 반응시켜 상당히 높은 수율을 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 과량의 methyliodide와 염기촉매인 potassium hydrogen carbonate를 사용하여 용매인 methanol에서 반응시킨 결과 boronic acid의 protection없이도 안정하게 반응이 진행되어짐을 확인할 수 있었다. In order to syntheisize a effective inhibotor for alzheimer's disease, we synthesized m-[(N,N,N-trimethylammonio)phenyl]boronic acid 4 which is designed by molecular modeling form. We protected the hydroxyl group of 3-aminophenylboronic acid monohydrate 1 with ethlyne glycol to remove the reactivity if hydroxyl group. To synthesize m-[(N,N,N-trimethylammonio)phenyl]boronic acid 4, we reacted 3-aminophenylboronic acid monohydrate 1 with ezcess methyl iodide and potassium hydrogen carbonate as a base-catalyst in methanol. but On executed reaction without protection on hydroxyl group, we found out the result that the hydroxyl group of boronic acid group at 3-aminophenylboronic acid monohydrate 1 didn't react with excess methyliodide. Synthesized m-[(N,N,N-trimethylammonio)phenyl]boronic acid 4 is in progress about biological tests as a plausible acetylcholinesterase inhibitor.

        This paper investigates the educational problems of junior college education linking industries and try to find the method for overcoming the limitations. Therefore, developing the related certificates upon ordering by industries will be a optimum option. Up to date, junior college education under educational-industrial cooperation is not distinguished curriculum from general vocational institute. This phenomenon incurred problems and limitations in developing human resources management fitting ordering education by industries. This study suggests 8 stages for the development of related certificates and provides model certificates which will apply every department. The best policy for a efficient human resources management toward junior college by educational-industrial cooperation will be opening special programs which will help students acquiring certificates.

        Nitrosourea derivatives(18) containing nitroxyl radicals as a carriers of alkylating agents were synthesized by a conventional route via carbamoylation of isocyanate and nitrosation, respectively. The intermediate isocyanate(16) required for the synthesis of carbamoylated derivatives was obtained through Curtius rearrangement reaction of carbonylazide. Thin layer chromatography, determination of melting point, lnfrared spectroscopy and Nudeas Magnetic Resonomce spectroscopy were used in idchtifying the structure of those compounds.

      • 임신 제 일삼분기와 제 이삼분기 초음파의 태아기형 진단의 유용성에 대한 고찰

        Objective: Ultrasonographic screening between 9 and 13 weeks for fetal structural abnormalities using transvaginal sonography in unselected population. Visualization of detailed fetal anatomy in the first trimester has improved as a result of technological progress in ultrasound machines and the introduction of transvaginal sonography(TVS). Our study aims to evaluate the accuracy of TVS as a screening tool for detecting fetal malformations in a nonselected population of pregnant women. For this purpose we compared the results obtained by using second trimesster TA scanning with those obtained using TVS at 9-14 weeks' gestation. Methods: From March 2001 to February 2003, 620 unselected consecutive pregnant women were recruited at their initial visit at Soonchunhyang university hospital, department of obstetrics and gynecology and offered a TVS scan at the average gestational age of 9-13 weeks in addition to the TA screening usually performed between 22-26 weeks. To fulfill the technical requirements of a screening test, ultrasonographic examinations were performed by skillful operators with different degrees of experienced using adequate instruments Aloka SSD 5500 (Aloka Co. Ltd., Tokyo, Japan) provided with either a 3.5-5MHz TA probe or a 5-7.5MHZ TV probe) in a fixed scanning time of maximum 30 min, generally considered sufficient for a complete fetal anatomic survey. Results: During the study period we found in our unselected population an overall prevalence of target abnormalities of 2.2%(24 malformed fetuses out of 600 screened). In the fetuses examined by TVS, 16 abnormalities were detected whereas 8 were not; of these, 6 were detected at transabdominal rescreening at 22-26 weeks and the remaining 2 were observed after birth. A nuchal region abnormality was the most frequent type of malformation detected in the early scan, including six cases of nuchal edema, two cases of cystic hygroma associated with hygroma associated with hydrops, three cases of hydronephrosis, one case of fetal neck teratoma, one case of cleft lip. Conclusion: This study has demonstrated the potential of screening a low risk population for fetal abnormalities at 9-13 weeks of gestation using transvaginal sonography and rescreened via transabdominal sonography at 22-26 weeks. Larger studies are required to establish the clinical value of the first trimester scan.

      • 農業機械 主要部品의 機械的 性質에 關한 硏究(Ⅰ)

        본 실험은 農業機械의 性能 및 耐久性에 밀접한 관계를 가지며, 素材의 品質面에서 구성하고 있는 化學成分이 韓國工業規格에 적합치 못한 주요 부품의 材料에 대한 機械的 性質을 조사하여 良質素材의 安定供給을 위한 素材産業의 육성과 이에 따른 優良農業機械의 生産供給으로 素材에 의한 品質低下 要因이 발생하지 않도록 그 基本資料를 제시하고자 실시하였으며, 분석한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1) 一般鋼材 및 特殊用鐵鋼을 材料로 사용하는 부품은 素材別로 機械的 性質이 좋지 못한 것으로 나타났다. 2) 鑄物類를 素材로 하고 있는 부품은 모두 저급의 材質을 사용하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 3) 小規模 群小業體가 生産供給하는 機種의 부품에 사용되고 있는 재료는 대단히 불량한 것으로 나타나 이에 대한 素材의 品質向上 및 良質素材의 安定供給을 위한 素材産業의 육성이 절실한 것으로 생각된다. These studies were carried out to investigate the mechanical properties for the major part in agricultural machinery in order to bring up the material industry and for the factor of quality drop not to happen to Korean farm machinery. The results are as follows ; 1) Carbons Steels and special purpose steels used in the major parts in agricultural machinery were inferior materials in mechanical properties. 2) Alloy castings used in the major parts were unsuitable to mechanical properties. 3) The attachments for working machinery, power sprayer, thresher, straw cutter, which were manufactured by small makers, were not suitable to the major parts in agricultural machinery. I think that urgent problems are the improvement of quality control in materials and the upbringing of the material industry in order to stabilize the supply of good quality materials in Korean farm machinery.

      • Poly-N-(N'-methylnitroso carbamoyl)-vinylamine의 합성

        The intermediate, polyvinylamine was obtained through the reaction of N-vinylacetamide with 12N HCI for 48hrs. and poly-N-(N-methylcarbamoyl)-vinylamine was obtained through the reaction of polyvinylamine with methylisocyanate for 2hrs. A potential antitumor agent, poly-N-(N-methylnitrosocarbamoy)-vinylamine was synthesized by nitrososation of poly-N-(N-methylcarbamoyl)-vinylamine with sodium nitrite in glacial acetic acid. The structural proofs of these compounds were done by I.R.

        The authors have observed image distortion according to the rotation of the mandible while the chin remained centered in the chin rest in the panoramic radiographs using Panelipse Ⅱ of the dry mandible with a dental age of 7 years. The radiopaque steel balls were inserted into the the portion of the tooth crypts, which were removed artifically, of the lateral incisor, canine,premolars, and the second molar and into the bifurcation area of the first molar. The dry mandible was placed in seven altered positions as follows; Position 1. The standard position Position 2. Rotation of the mandible 5°to the right Position 3. Rotation of the mandible 10°to the right Position 4. Rotation of the mandible 5°to the left Position 5. Rotation of the mandible 10°to the left Position 6. Rotation of the mandible 10°to the right inferiorly Position 7. Rotation of the mandible 10°to the left inferiorly The results were as follows; When compared with the image in the standard position: 1) The image distortion in the Position 2 through Position 5 was not greatly changed on all portions excluding molar portion 2) The horizontal distortion in the Position 6 was greatly increased but the vertical distortion was not greatly changed except molar portion 3) The image distortion in the Position 7 was not greatly changed.
