Objectives:This study was to identify weight & metabolic changes in first-episode psychotic patients with antipsychotics use and investigate the differences of weight & metabolic changes between first-episode psychotic patients and controls with antipsychotics use. Method:In this retrospective study, twenty eight first-episode psychotic patients and twenty eight controls with schizophrenia, schizoaffective or bipolar disorder defined by DSM-IV criteria were included. Information about demographic and clinical characteristics of the subjects was gathered from the medical records. Also body weight, sBP, dBP, fasting glucose, lipid profile and WBC count were evaluated before and after antipsychotics use. Rogistic regression was conducted to assess factors associated with weight gain. Results:First-episode psychotic patients showed more weight and BMI changes than controls after antipsychotics use, and these changes continue over 12 months. On the other hand, there were no significant factors associated with weight gain. Conclusion:The results of present study suggest that antispychotics is one of the major causes inducing weight gain of psychotic patients and antipsychotics-induced weight gain is more vulnerable to drug-naive first-episode psychotic patients.

<P>We present both experimental and theoretical evidence for uncertainty-limited turnstile transport in deformed microcavities. As the degree of cavity deformation was increased, a secondary peak gradually emerged in the far-field emission patterns to form a double-peak structure. Our observation can be explained in terms of the interplay between turnstile transport and its suppression by the quantum mechanical uncertainty principle.</P>

H3N2 canine influenza virus emerged in South Korea in 2007 and subsequently spread to China and Thailand, causing epidemic or endemic respiratory diseases in dogs. Through intermammalian species transmission, the virus has also infected cats. However, no direct evidence of significant genetic evolution has been reported since its first emergence. Here, we describe in depth the genetic and molecular characteristics of the ancestral strain (i.e., the first virus isolate from South Korea) of the H3N2 canine influenza virus currently circulating in East Asia.

태평양전쟁기의 일본 지정학 사상과 국민학교 지리교육

본 연구는 태평양전쟁기의 문부성과 조선총독부가 편찬한 국민학교 지리교과서에 기술된 일본 지정학사상을 고찰한 것이다. 근대 라첼의 정치지리학은 스웨덴의 첼렌, 독일의 하우스호퍼 등의 지정학자에 의해 일본 지정학 성립에 직간접적으로 영향을 주었다. 일본에서는 1940년을 전후하여 교토학파와 일본지정학협회 두집단의 지리학자에 의해 지정학 연구가 전개되었다. 그 영향으로 이 시기에 편찬된 국민학교 지리교과서에는 일본 지정학 사상이 반영되었다. 지리교과서의 지정학 관련 내용은 국토의 우수성 자각, 대동아건설을 위한 동아지리, 그리고 일본의 동맹국과 적대국 중심의 세계지리 등이다. 특히 일본의 적대국 미국과 영국에 대해서는 적개심을 갖도록 비난하고, 격멸, 분쇄해야 한다는 내용으로 기술되어 있다. This study aims to explore the Japanese geopolitic thought in the elementary(kokumin) school textbooks published by Japan Ministry of Education and Japanese Government-General of the Joseon in the Pacific War. The modern Ratzel’s political geography influenced directly or indirectly on establishing Japanese geopolitics through Kjellen of Sweden, Haushofer of Germany, etc. By sometime around 1940 of Japan, the scholars of the Kyoto School and Japanese Geopolitics Association led geopolitical research. Therefore, such Japanese geopolitical thoughts were reflected in the Japanese elementary school textbooks of this period. The geopolitical contents in geography education textbooks include awareness of the excellence of the land, East Asian geography for building the greater East Asia, world geography in terms of Japanese allies and adversaries, and so on. Particularly, Japanese adversaries such as United States and Britain were criticized and should be destructed in order to have animosity.

일본의 사회과에서 독도에 관한 영토교육의 현황

2005년 일본 시마네현의 `다케시마의 날` 제정을 계기로 한일 간의 정치적 갈등은 심화되고 있다. 특히 문부과학성이 지난 2008년 7월 중학교 학습지도요령해설(사회편)에 영토교육 차원에서 다케시마를 처음으로 명기한 것은 한국인들에게 강한 반일감정을 불러 일으켰다. 일본에서 국토 및 영토교육은 소학교 5학년 사회과에서 초보적 형태로 이루어지고 있다. 그리고 중학교와 고등학교에서는 우리나라의 국사와 달리, 지리와 공민 분야에서 독도 관련 영토교육이 집중적으로 이루어지고 있다. 이들 교과서에는 독도와 관련하여 `일본 고유의 영토`, `한국에 불법 점거`, `무인도` 등 사실을 왜곡한 부분도 있다. 앞으로 일본에서 독도에 관한 영토교육은 장기적 안목에서 더욱 계획적으로 강화될 전망이다. 이에 한국은 일본의 검정 사회과 교과서 회사가 더 이상 영토왜곡으로 물들지 않도록 국가적 차원에서 대응해야 한다. 한편 한국 사회과 영토교육의 과제로서 현재의 국사 과목 중심에서 국제관계, 국제정치, 국제법 등과 관련하여 내용과 방법의 다양화를 모색할 필요성이 있다. 아울러 한국과 일본은 미래의 바람직한 한일 관계를 구축하기 위해 독도 관련 문제점과 과제를 정리하고 해결하려는 노력이 필요하다. Since 2005 when Japan`s Shimane Prefecture established Takeshima Day, the political conflict between Korea and Japan has been deepening. In particular, in July 2008 when the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) first specified Takeshima in the teaching explanatory guidance (social studies), this move fueled a strong anti-Japanese sentiment among Koreans. Territory education in social studies in Japan is first conducted in a basic form beginning with the fifth school year in elementary school. Also, in middle school and high school, in the field of geography and citizenship, an intensive education on Dokdo is provided. Furthermore, research associations are formed in areas in the vicinity of the island, and supplementary textbooks are created, thus invigorating territory education on Dokdo. Japan`s territory education on Dokdo will be further reinforced from the long-term perspective.

이전의 벡터양자화 기반의 워터마킹은 기본 부호책과 확장 부호책으로 구성된 사용자 부호책에 의해서 수행된다. 확장 부호책의 설계 방법은 매우 중요하지만 구체적인 방법이 제시되지 못하였다. 본 논문에서는 거리의 가중치(δ)를 사용하여 기본 부호책과 확장 부호책을 생성하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 워터마크 삽입에 관계없이 항상 일정한 성능을 가지는 부호책을 얻을 수 있다. Former Vector Quantization-based digital watermarking was operated by the user codebook which is combined by the basic and extented codebook. The design way of extended codebook is very important, but still not proposed the concrete way. This paper proposes how to make the basic and extended codebook using the weight of distance. The proposed way can always get the standardizing codebook without inputing watermark.

대학생 글쓰기ㆍ말하기 능력의 상관성

The purpose of this paper is to analyse relationship between the writing and speaking skills. The subjects were twenty-seven normal university students and they are performed writing and speaking task through looking at a picture. Measures are six variables(NDW, NTW, TTR, T-unit, MLTw and MLTm). These were analyzed using SPSS program. The research results are as follow: First, T-unit of speaking was higher than writing task. TTR of writing was higher than speaking task. Second, T-unit, NDW and NTW of correlation were higher. MLTw of speaking and NDW and NTW of writing of correlation were higher. Third, TTR, MLTw and MLTm were no correlation between speaking and writing. Thus, we proposed aspects of the use of writing and speaking according to the condition of space and time.

일본 시마네현의 초중등학교 사회과에서의 독도에 대한 지역학습의 경향

일본 시마네현은 2005년 3월 ``독도의 날``을 제정한 이래, 매년 2월 22일에는 정치인 등이 참석한 가운데 독도 영유권을 주장하는 기념 행사를 실시해 왔다. 일본은 독도영유권 주장과 관련하여 독도를 일본의 초중고 사회과 교과서와 지도에 자국의 영토로 기술하고 표기해 왔으며, 최근에는 그 비율이 증가하고 있다. 이와 동시에 독도와 가장 가까운 일본 시마네현에서는 소학교와 중학교의 사회과 지리분야에서 지역학습의 일환으로 독도교육이 강화되고 있다. 시마네현에서 독도에 대한 연구와 교육은 독도와 가장 가까운 오키제도의 사회과 교사들에 의해 시작되었으며, 현재는 시마네현 전역에서 확대 실시되고 있다. 시마네현에서 제작된 독도 부교재는 교사용 학습지도안, 학생용 워크시트, 사진 및 통계자료 등의 내용이 담긴 자료편 CD와 각 학년별 동영상 DVD 등 2종으로 구성되어 있다. 특히 여기에는 한국의 독도 불법점거로 인한 일본의 어업상의 피해 측면을 강조하는 내용이 담겨 있다. 따라서 일본의 학생들은 쉽게 반일 감정이 형성될 수 있다. 독도에 대한 올바른 역사적 인식을 위해 한일 학자들에 의한 공동 독도 부교재 등을 개발하는 것이 바람직하다. Since the Shimane Prefecture government in Japan enacted "Takeshima Day" in March 2005, it has held commemorative ceremonies with Japanese politicians present each year on February 22. Japan has marked Dokdo as its territory in elementary and middle high school textbooks, and the number of such references has been increasing in recent years. Shimane Prefecture, which is the area nearest to Dokdo is strengthening Dokdo education in its geography classes at elementary and middle schools as part of regional studies. The study and education on Dokdo was begun by social studies teachers in the Oki Islands in Shimane Prefecture, but now extends throughout the prefecture. The auxiliary educational materials regarding Dokdo produced in Shimane Prefecture include teaching guidelines for teachers, worksheets for students, CDs containing statistics and picture files, and two kinds of DVD movie clips for each grade. In particular, schools teach the damage to the Japanese fishery industry caused by Korea`s illegal occupation of Dokdo. This will likely form anti-Korean sentiments among Japanese students. It is hoped that Korean and Japanese scholars will work together to develop Dokdo auxiliary textbooks in order to improve the correct historical understanding of Dokdo.
