        시간의 흐름에 따른 핸드폰의 품질동태성에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 선행연구에서 조사된 핸드폰의 고객요구속성을 Kano 모델의 품질특성에 적용하여 시간의 흐름에 따라 어떤 변화가 있는지를 살펴보고자 한다. 또한 고객들의 새로운 요구속성이 나타났는지도 함께 살펴보고자 한다. 많은 문헌과 선행연구에서 나타나고 있는 시간에 따른 품질특성의 이동이 매력적 품질에서 일원적 품질로 일원적 품질에서 당연적 품질로 변화하는 진부화(陳腐化)현상이 나타나는지도 함께 살펴보고자 한다. In this study, previous research (Sung-Uk Lim, 2004) surveyed in customer demand for mobile phones the quality characteristics of properties applied to the Kano model, the flow of time, depending on whether any changes will be discussed. In addition, our customers" new requirements will be examined along with the property map appeared. The movement of time-dependent quality characteristics appeared in many previous studies Obsolescence Phenomenon - from Attactive Quality Element to One-Dimensional Quality Element, from One-Dimensional Quality Element to Must-Be Quality Element - may appear be examined together.

        종 분포 모형을 이용한 구상나무림의 지속 및 쇠퇴에 관한 연구 - 전라남도 광양시 백운산을 중심으로 -

        The present study investigated the habitats of Korean fir trees (Abies koreana E. H. Wilson) on Mt. Baekwun (Baekwun-san), determined the current distribution, quantified the contribution of biological and nonbiological environmental factors affecting the distribution, derived actual and potential habitats, presented a plan for the establishment of protected areas, applied RCP 8.5 climate change scenario to analyze the effects of climate change on the future distribution of Korean fir trees, and predicted future potential habitats. According to the results of the study, 3,325 Korean fir trees (DBH >= 2.5 cm) inhabited Mt. Baekwun, and their distribution area was approximately 150 ha. Populations of Korean fir trees were confirmed to exist at an altitude of 900 m above sea level and were distributed up to 1,200 m. Based on potential distribution, areas appropriate for habitation by Korean fir trees were analyzed to be 450 ha, three times the current distribution area, with a focus on Sang Peak (Sang-bong), Eokbul Peak (Eokbul-bong), Ddari Peak (Ddari-bong), and Dosol Peak (Dosol-bong). The forest stands near Sang Peak, the main peak, were evaluated as those with the most appropriate potential for the habitation of Korean fir trees, and populations of the trees tended to prefer the northern slope rather than the southern slope. When climate change scenario RCP 8.5 was applied and future potential distribution was analyzed, the habitats were expected to decrease in area to 20 ha by 2050, with a focus on Sang Peak, and areas appropriate for habitation were predicted not to exist by 2080. Judging from such results, as global warming accelerates, the habitats of Korean fir trees are clearly expected to move from lowlands to highlands.

        Interpretation of tube agglutination test for bovine brucellosis with turbidimetric readings and international unit

        The tube agglutination test has been used for bovine brucellosis diagnosis in Korea since middle 1950s. The reported high specificity was its value in eradication program. However, the reading of reaction mostly depends on personal experience, thus here we report a way to improve accuracy and uniformity of reading. The tube agglutination was conducted according to the protocol provided by Korean Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The intensity of reaction was measured by spectrophotometer. The relationship between turbidity and percentage clearing was generally in direct proportion and linear. The correspondent percent transmittance at 75, 50, and 25% clearing were 91, 82, and 73, respectively. Then, the degree of percentage of clearing at given international unit was measured. With about 1.5 unit of serum, the maximum percentage clearing was observed. The international unit showing 25, 50, and 75 percentage clearing were 0.61, 0.83 and 1.35, respectively. Based on the information obtained using international standard serum, the calculation of international unit of test serum was available. According to the protocol for bovine brucellosis diagnosis which provided by Korean Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the available range of detectable international unit was between 15 and 538. And the corresponding international units for suspicious case ranged between 42 and 127. Of the 35 sera from B abortus infected cattle, about half of them had more than 538 international units. Collectively, the reading of turbidity using spectrophotometer and application to international unit improved accuracy and uniformity of reading.

        Detection of Mycobacterium bovis in the lymph node of tuberculin positive cattle by guanidium isothiocyanate/silica DNA extraction and polymerase chain reaction

        Tuberculin positive cattle without gross tubercle lesions should be confirmed by the bacteriological examination to determine the state of the infection. To overcome the time-consuming and laborious identification by culture and biochemical tests, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) has been used to identify Mycobacterium bovis. Due to various lipids in the cell wall of Mycobacterium spp, novel methods of DNA extraction from Mycobacterium spp have been developed. In this study, a newly developed guanidium isothiocyanate/silica DNA extraction method was directly applied to specimens from the tuberculin positive cattle. DNAs were directly extracted from the lymph nodes and the major polymorphic tandem repeat (MPTR) and mycobacterial protein of BCG 70 (MPB70) were amplified using PCR. The DNA extraction method using guanidium isothiocyanate/silica was efficient and safe, and the MPTR and MPB70 primers were specific to M bovis. Therefore, MPTR and MPB70 PCRs will be useful for the detection of M bovis in the lymph node from skin-test positive cattle.

      • Differential in vitro and cellular effects of iron chelators for hypoxia inducible factor hydroxylases

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>Hypoxia inducible factor 1α (HIF‐1α), an essential transcriptional factor, is negatively regulated by two different types of oxygen and Fe<SUP>2+</SUP>‐dependent HIF hydroxylases, proline hydroxylase (PHD) and factor inhibiting HIF (FIH), under normoxia. Iron chelators have therefore been used for inducing HIF‐1α expression by inhibiting the hydroxylases. In this study, the iron chelators displayed differential effects for PHD and FIH in cells depending on their iron specificity and membrane permeability rather than their in vitro potencies. The membrane permeability of the strict Fe<SUP>2+</SUP>‐chelator potentially inhibited both hydroxylases, whereas the membrane impermeable one showed no inhibitory effect in cells. In contrast, the depletion of the extracellular Fe<SUP>3+</SUP> ion was mainly correlated to PHD inhibition, and the membrane permeable one elicited low efficacy for both enzymes in cells. The 3′‐hydroxyl group of quercetin, a natural flavonoid, was critical for inhibition of intracellular hydroxylases. Since the 3′‐methylation of quercetin is induced by catechol‐<SMALL>O</SMALL>‐methyl transferase, the enzyme may regulate the intracellular activity of quercetin. These data suggest that the multiple factors of iron‐chelators may be responsible for regulating the intracellular activity HIF hydroxylases. J. Cell.       • Morphology control of lithium peroxide using Pd<sub>3</sub>Co as an additive in aprotic Li-O<sub>2</sub> batteries

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>During discharge in aprotic Li-O<SUB>2</SUB> batteries, lithium peroxide (Li<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB>) can be formed by a surface- or solution-mediated route. In the surface-mediated process, a Li<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB> film is formed electrochemically on the cathode surface, leading to low capacity and rate capability. In contrast, in high donor or acceptor number electrolyte systems, Li<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB> toroids are formed by solution-mediated growth through a disproportionation reaction, resulting in high capacity and rate capability. However, during charging, high donor or acceptor number solvents cause poor rechargeability because of the high crystallinity of Li<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB> toroids and byproduct formation. Therefore, controlling the size of Li<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB> in a solution-mediated discharge process is the key to the development of Li-O<SUB>2</SUB> batteries with high capacity and good rechargeability. We demonstrate the application of Pd<SUB>3</SUB>Co nanoparticles to enhance the rechargeability of a Li-O<SUB>2</SUB> cell in a solution-mediated process. Scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction studies indicate that the Li<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB> particles formed during discharge are small and the decomposition of the reaction products is reversible. A cell fabricated with Pd<SUB>3</SUB>Co nanoparticles exhibits a lower overpotential than the one without the nanoparticles. The additive may provide nucleation sites for Li<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB> particles, leading to enhanced rechargeability and appropriate capacity in a solution-mediated process for Li-O<SUB>2</SUB> batteries.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Pd<SUB>3</SUB>Co additive were used to control Li<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB> size in a solution-mediated reaction. </LI> <LI> The size effect on Li<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB> particles was identified by SEM, TEM, and XRD. </LI> <LI> With the Pd<SUB>3</SUB>Co additive, the complete decomposition of LiOH occured below 4.0 V. </LI> <LI> The Pd<SUB>3</SUB>Co/KB cathode exhibited better rechargeability than the bare cathode. </LI> </UL> </P>

        Characterization of Intermediate Conductance $K^+$ Channels in Submandibular Gland Acinar Cells

        There are some evidences that $K^+$ efflux evoked by muscarinic stimulation is not mainly mediated by large conductance $K^+$ (BK) channels in salivary gland. In this experiment, we therefore characterised non BK channels in rat submandibular gland acinar cells and examined the possibility of agonist effect on this channel using a patch clamp technique. Two types of $K^+$ channels were observed in these cells. BK channels were observed in 3 cells from total 6 cells and its average conductance was $152{\pm}7$ pS (n=3). The conductance of the another types of $K^+$ channel was estimated as $71{\pm}7$ pS (n=6). On the basis of the conductance of this channel, we defined this channel as intermediate conductance $K^+$ (IK) channels, which were observed from all 6 cells we studied. When we increased $Ca^{2+}$ concentration of the bath solution in inside-out mode, the IK channel activity was greatly increased, suggesting this channel is $Ca^{2+}$ sensitive. We next examined the effect of carbachol (CCh) and isoproterenol on the activity of the IK channels. $10^{-5}$ M isoproterenol significantly increased the open probability (Po) from $0.08{\pm}0.02$ to $0.21{\pm}0.03$ (n=4, P<0.05). Application of $10^{-5}$ M CCh also increased Po from $0.048{\pm}0.03$ to $0.55{\pm}0.33$ (n=5, P<0.05) at the maximum channel activity. The degree of BK channel activation induced by the same concentration of CCh was lower than that of IK channels; Po value was $0.011{\pm}0.003$ and $0.027{\pm}0.005$ in control and during CCh stimulation (n=3), respectively. The result suggests that IK channels exist in salivary acinar cells and its channel activity is regulated by muscaricinic and ${\beta}-adrenergic$ agonist. We conclude that IK channels also play a putative role in secretion as well as the BK channels in rat submandibular gland acinar cells.

        Genetic Distances and Variations of Three Clupeid Species Determined by PCR Technique

        In this study, seven oligonucleotides primers were shown to generate the shared loci, specific loci, unique shared loci to each species and shared loci by the three species which could be obviously calculated. Euclidean genetic distances within- and between-species were also calculated by complete linkage method with the sustenance of the hierarchical dendrogram program Systat version 13. The genomic DNA isolated from herring (Clupea pallasii), Korean anchovy (Coilia nasus) and large-eyed herring (Harengula zunashi), respectively, in the Yellow Sea, were amplified several times by PCR reaction. The hierarchical dendrogram shows three chief branches: cluster 1 (PALLASII 01, 02, 03, 04, 06 and 07), cluster 2 (NASUS 08, 09, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14), and cluster 3 (ZUNASHI 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 and PALLASII 05). In three clupeid species, the shortest genetic distance displaying significant molecular difference was between individual PALLASII no. 03 and PALLASII no. 02 (0.018). Individual no. 06 of PALLASII was most distantly related to NASUS no. 11 (genetic distance = 0.318). Individuals from herring (C. pallasii) species (0.920) exhibited higher bandsharing values than did individuals from Korean anchovy (C. nasus) species (0.872) (P<0.05). As a result, this PCR analysis generated on the genetic data displayed that the herring (C. pallasii) species was widely separated from Korean anchovy (C. nasus) species. Reversely, individuals of Korean anchovy (C. nasus) species were a little closely related to those of large-eyed herring (H. zunashi) species.

        Metabolic significance of bisphenol A-induced oxidative stress in rat urine measured by liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry

        <P>Modified nucleosides are formed by DNA repair as a result of oxidative DNA damage and post-transcriptionally modified tRNA in cells. In the present study, profiling of 14 nucleoside was investigated in rat urine to evaluate bisphenol A (BPA)-induced oxidative stress after intraperitoneally injecting rats with 0, 10 or 50 mg kg<SUP>−1</SUP> per day of BPA for four consecutive days. The urinary concentrations of individual nucleosides were measured by liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry combined with column switching on-line extraction. Increased levels of 5-hydroxymethyl-2′-deoxyuridine (P < 0.01 on first, P < 0.005 on second, P < 0.001 on third and P < 0.01 on fourth day) and 8-hydroxy-2′-deoxyguanosine (P < 0.005 on second, P < 0.001 on third and P < 0.001 on fourth day) were found. Also, the patterns of urinary nucleosides in three dosage groups (control, BPA1, BPA2) were significantly different. Statistical significance was observed between BPA1 (5-hydroxymethyl-2′-deoxyuridine, P < 0.05; 8-hydroxy-2′-deoxyguanosine, P < 0.005) and BPA2 (5-hydroxymethyl-2′-deoxyurindine, P < 0.005; 8-hydroxy-2′-deoxyguanosine, P < 0.001) during the treatment period. Supervised analysis with partial least-squares-discrimination analysis led to discrimination between the three dosage groups. Quantitative alterations showed the metabolic trajectories responsible for physiological responses. The described methods could be used to evaluate and monitor BPA-induced oxidative stress early after exposure. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.</P>
