        Objectives: This study was performed to evaluate the antistress effects of two aromatic blends being composed of synergic essential oils and also to differentiate its effectiveness between two. Methods: The subject were 20(10 for men, 10 for women) for vital factors and another 20(10 for mem, 10 for women) for serum catecholamine. Vital factors(blood pressure, pulse), electroencephalograpy, psychological tests(SACL, STAI) and serum catecholamine were applied to the subjects. Results: 1. All two aromatic synergic blends revealed no significant differnce of vital factors after inhalation but stable conditions generally by lowering pulse and blood pressure after inhalation. 2. Both blends were significantly valuable in antianxiety and antistress effects statistically. There were no statistically difference between two blends. 3. There were no significant difference in all brain waves after inhalation of two blends but generally stable brain waves were seen in all areas. 4. There were antistress effects of both blends in accordance of decreased serum catecholamines after inhalation of both blends. There were no significantly difference between two blends statistically. Conclusion: Both two aromatic synergic blends reached effective antistress and antianxiety states after inhalation of each blends. There were no siginificant difference between two blends. Further studies about the effectiveness between the amount of aromatic essential oils and the duration of inhalation should be considered. Also clinical applications of these two aromatic synergic blending oils to develop the aromatic products would be affordable in the future.

        Studies on the Inhibitory Effect of Eugenia aromaticum Extract on Pancreatic Lipase

        To develop functional food and anti-obesity drug through inhibition of dietary lipid absorption, inhibitory effects of herb extracts on pancreatic lipase were investigated. Due to high yield and simplicity of isolation, lipase inhibitor (ELI) was isolated from ethyl acetate extract of Eugenia aromaticum, which showed highest inhibitory activity, and characterized for development of novel functional material. Stability of ELI at high temperature and low pH was investigated. Results showed ELI is relatively stable under thermal and acidic conditions, reversible, and noncompetitive inhibitor of pancreatic lipase.

        Description of unrecorded bacterial species belonging to the phylum Actinobacteria in Korea

        For the collection of indigenous prokaryotic species in Korea, 77 strains within the phylum Actinobacteria were isolated from various environmental samples, fermented foods, animals and clinical specimens in 2019. Each strain showed high 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity (>98.8%) and formed a robust phylogenetic clade with actinobacterial species that were already defined and validated with nomenclature. There is no official description of these 77 bacterial species in Korea. The isolates were assigned to 77 species, 31 genera, 18 families, 14 orders and 2 classes of the phylum Actinobacteria. All the strains except one Coriobacteriia strain were affiliated within the class Actinomycetia. Among them, the orders Streptomycetales and Microbacteriales were predominant. A number of strains were isolated from forest soils, riverside soils, and ginseng cultivated soils. Twenty-nine strains were isolated from 'Protected Ecosystem and Scenery Areas'. Morphological properties, basic biochemical characteristics, isolation source and strain IDs are described in the species descriptions.

        For the collection of indigenous prokaryotic species in Korea, 35 strains within the class Actinobacteria were isolated from various environmental samples (animals and clinical specimens) in 2017. Each strain showed high 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity (>98.8%) and formed a robust clade with recognized actinobacterial species. The isolates were assigned to 35 species, 22 genera, 15 families, and 8 orders of the class Actinobacteria. There are no official descriptions of these 35 bacterial species in Korea. Morphological properties, basic biochemical characteristics, isolation source, and strain IDs are included in the species descriptions.

      • Antioxidative effects of quercetin-glycosides isolated from the flower buds of Tussilago farfara L.

        A bioassay-guided fractionation of the ethylacetate soluble fraction from the flower buds of Tussilago farfara L. (Compositae) yielded two flavonoids, quercetin 3-O-β-L-arabinopyranoside and quercetin 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside. These two sugar conjugates of quercetin exhibited higher antioxidative activity than their aglycone, quercetin by NBT superoxide scavenging assay. Moreover, treatment with quercetin 3-O-β-L-arabinopyranoside significantly increased the total glutathione (GSH) contents and the protein level of γ-glutarnylcysteine ligase (γ-GCL), a key enzyme required for glutathione (GSH) synthesis in a rat hepatocyte cell line. Subcellular fractionation and reporter gene analysis using antioxidant response element (ARE) construct revealed that quercetin 3-O-β-L-arabinopyranoside increased the level of nuclear Nrf2 and reporter activity, and that these were associated with the induction of the γ-GCL gene. After 24 h incubation of cells with quercetin 3-O-β-L-arabinopyranoside, 23% of the glycoside was converted to its aglycone, quercetin, but γ-GCL was not induced by 7 μM (23%) quercetin. These results suggest that the two quercetin-glycosides isolated from T. farfara L. have direct antioxidative properties, and that quercetin 3-O-β-L-arabinopyranoside increases the cellular GSH level by inducing the γ-GCL gene. These novel effects of quercetin-glycosides are suggestive to underlie the potential putative chemopreventive effects of T.farfara L.

        <P>Rectal submucosal lesions encompass a wide variety of benign and malignant tumors involving the rectum. With optical colonoscopy, any mass-like protrusion covered by normal mucosa, whether the underlying process is intramural or extramural in origin, may be reported as a submucosal lesion. Whereas the assessment of submucosal lesions may be limited with performing optical colonoscopy, cross-sectional imaging such as CT, transrectal ultrasonography and MRI allows the evaluation of perirectal tissues and pelvic organs in addition to the entire thickness of the rectum, and so this is advantageous for the assessment of rectal submucosal tumors. Among these, MRI is the best investigative modality for soft tissue characterization. Therefore, knowledge of the MRI features of rectal submucosal tumors can help achieve accurate preoperative diagnoses and facilitate the appropriate management.</P>

        학생자치법정에서 학급집단응집성이 또래압력에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 학생자치법정이 기본적으로 또래압력에 기초하고 있다는 점에 착안하여, 또래 압력을 높여서 학생자치법정의 교육 효과를 제고할 수 있는 학급 환경을 모색하고자 하였다. 이런 연구 목적 하에 본 연구에서는, 집단응집성이 집단 내 동조압력에 영향을 준다는 관련 연구와 이론들을 토대로 하여 집단응집성이 또래압력에 미치는 효과를 분석하였다. 연구의 결과, 학급일체감이 높을수록 학생자치법정을 통한 또래압력이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 학급일체감은 학생들이 자신이 속한 학급에 대해 갖는 소속감 및 일체감을 나타내며 학급에서 일어나는 일에 대해 어느 정도의 공동체 의식과 헌신을 갖고 있는지 나타내는 지표라 할 수 있다. 이러한 학급일체감이 높다는 것은 학급에서 결정된 사항이나 학급 구성원의 의견을 수용하려는 의지가 크다는 것을 의미한다. 따라서 학급일체감이 높을수록 학생자치법정은 교칙준수 및 학교 생활태도 개선 등의 교육적 효과를 높일 수 있을 것이다. This study notes the effect of peer pressure occurring in the process of the teen court. Because it is effective mechanism that can lead delinquent students to obey the school rules. The purpose of this study is to seek the educational environment which can raise the intensity of such peer pressure at the teen court. In this study, group-cohesiveness is set as the factor that affect peer pressure based on the advanced studies. As a result, it turned out that only the sense of belonging to the class affects the peer pressure at the teen court. Through this result, we can suppose that because students who have a strong sense of belonging to the class are sensitive to the agreement or opinions made by classmates and tend to accept those things willingly, so they also feel strong peer pressure to press to make them obey the school rules through the teen court.

        간섭 거동에 따른 지하 가스 배관의 영향선 분석

        관망 내 배관의 간섭 거동에 따른 지하 매설 배관의 영향선 분석을 위하여 실제 환경에 부합하도록 지하의 상부와 하부에 각각 하수관거와 가스관을 매설하여 유한요소모델을 구현하였으며, 두 배관의 교차 정도에 따라 하부 가스 배관의 영향선을 분석하였다. 하수관거와 가스관은 각각 1.0m와 3.39m의 매설심도를 가지며, 두 배관이 이루는 교차각은 0∼90°에 대하여 해석을 실시하였다. 본 연구에서는 Ring Deflection과 Bending Stress의 결과로부터, 교차각에 따른 영향선을 분석하였으며, 그 결과 두 배관이 이루는 교차각과 하부 배관의 영향선은 일치함을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 배관의 간섭 거동에 따른 하부 배관의 영향선은 두 배관의 교차각과 깊은 관계가 있다고 판단된다. In order to make the critical path analysis of gas pipeline located under rigid pipes for interference behavior, FE analysis is performed considering real buried conditions of a drain and a gas pipe according to intersection angle of two pipes. A drain pipe and gas pipe have cover depth respectively 1.0m and 3.39m and this study considers a interference angle in the range of 0∼90°. In this paper, the critical path is analyzed from the result of Ring Deflection and bending stress according to intersection angle. In the event intersection angle of two pipes equal to the critical path of lower pipe. The analysis results show that the critical path of lower gas pipe according to interference behavior has relation to intersection angle of two pipes.

        지하 매설 교차 관망 내 강·연성관의 상호작용에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 지중에서 배관이 교차할 때 상부 강성관이 하부 연성관에 영향을 미치는 유효 깊이와 유효 길이에 대한 개념을 이용하여 두 매설 배관의 교차 정도와 배관 사이의 거리에 따른 하부 매설 배관의 영향범위를 파악 하고자한다. 이를 위하여 상부 배관과 하부 배관을 각각 원심력철근콘크리트관과 가스수송용 강관으로 구현하였다. 이때 1.0m에 매설된 상부 배관으로부터 하부 배관은 각각 0.5m에서 5m의 매설심도를 가지며 두 배관의 교차각을 0, 30, 60, 90°로 변화하여 연구를 진행하였다. 그 결과 유효깊이는 두 매설 배관의 교차각이 증가함에 따라 증가하며, 두 매설관 사이의 거리가 증가함에 따라 감소하다 일정 값으로 수렴하게 된다. 또한 두 교차 배관의 교차 각 증가에 따른 유효길이와 휨응력 합의 관계를 정리하였다. The result of this research explains an interactive behavior of buried steel pipe located below hume pipe using concept of effective depth and effective length against their intersection angle and burial distance. The cover depth of upper rigid (hume) pipe is 1.0m and depth range of flexible (steel) pipe is 0.5m to 5m from beneath bottom of hume pipe. And one more variable is their intersection angle in this study, it was considered from 0˚ to 90°. From the results of this study, the effective depth is proportionally increasing with its intersection angle and decreasing with distance increment between two pipes. Finally, the relationship between effective length and summation of occurred bending stress is defined.
