To meet the growing power demand of the future, utilities and researchers have considered the addition of dc circuits in existing transmission corridors. The previous research has focused on analyzing the field environment, steady state induction and the negative effects of induction in the hybrid transmission lines. The overhead ground wires (OHGWs) have been used only for improving the lightning performance of overhead lines (OHL). In this paper, the spatial position of OHGWs has been studied with the objective of minimizing the steady state induction between power conductors as well as poorly grounded metallic objects like railroads and fences present near the ac-dc OHL. Candidate space for placement of OHGWs having shielding failure rate of less than four is identified using the conventional electro-geometric model. The steady state induction in the power conductors and nearby metallic objects is studied as a function of position of OHGWs using electro-magnetic transient simulation. The results indicate a strong correlation between the height of OHGWs and magnitude of induced voltage in power conductors, and metallic objects underneath the transmission line. The conscious effort in placement of OHGWs can reduce the magnitude of induced voltages while ensuring adequate lightning performance.

Outcomes of Primary Unilateral Cheiloplasty in Same-Day Surgical Settings
Mansoor Khan,Hidayat Ullah,Asif Aziz,Muhammad Tahir 대한성형외과학회 2016 Archives of Plastic Surgery Vol.43 No.3
Background Financial, clinical, and psychological considerations have made same-day surgery an attractive option for a variety of procedures. This article aimed to analyse the postoperative results of same-day primary unilateral cleft nasolabial repair. Methods This study was performed from 2011 to 2014. Unilateral cleft lip patients fulfilling the inclusion criteria were preoperatively classified as mild, moderate, and severe. All patients underwent same-day surgery and were discharged after satisfying the appropriate clinical criteria, receiving thorough counselling, and the establishment of a means of communication by phone. Postoperative outcomes were assessed and stratified according to preoperative severity and the type of repair. Results A total of 423 primary unilateral cleft lip patients were included. Fisher’s anatomical subunit approximation technique was the most common procedure, followed by Noordhoff’s technique. The postoperative outcome was good in 89.8% of cases, fair in 9.9% of cases, and poor in 0.2% of cases. The complication rate was 1.18% (n=5), and no instances of mortality were observed. The average hospital stay was 7.5 hours, leading to a cost reduction of 19% in comparison with patients who stayed overnight for observation. Conclusions Mild unilateral cleft lip was the most common deformity for which Fisher’s anatomical subunit approximation technique was performed in most of the cases, with satisfactory postoperative outcomes. Refinements in the cleft rhinoplasty techniques over the course of the study improved the results regarding cleft nasal symmetry. Single-day primary unilateral cleft cheiloplasty was found to be a cost-effective procedure that did not pose an additional risk of complications.
Attitude Control of Quadcopter Using Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Control
Asif Sajjad Khan Anjum,Rana Ali Sufian,Zain Abbas,Ijaz Mansoor Qureshi 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Hybrid Information Techno Vol.9 No.4
This research contains the simulation and designing of Quadcopter using Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Controller to control the altitude of quadcopter and obstacle detection. Now a day’s advancement in technology has made it possible to develop low power and lightweight with accurate sensors which are used with controllers for controlling, which have high processing power but small power consumption. This has been allowed for the development of complex and difficult control systems that can be implemented onboard UAV. With this combination of high precision and light weight, real-time onboard navigation or guidance and autonomous flights are now practical. This research work used a Fuzzy controller to control the pitch angle of quadcopter and avoiding obstacles. The fuzzy controller receives the sensory data and adjust the pitch accordingly until unless it finds the clear path. For detecting obstacles the IR sensors are used. For designing a fuzzy inference system used Sugeno model and used mat lab commands to design ANFIS as we have another method for designing by using a Simulink as well. ANFIS designed is based on kinematics and dynamics equation of quadcopter that will be able to control the pitch of quadcopter. Simulations results in mat lab show that by using ANFIS the performance of Quadcopter will be improved significantly.

Zinc oxide (ZnO) nano particles have great importance in textile industry, because of remarkable efficiency andmultiple applications such as antibacterial, UV protection, self-cleaning etc. The aim of this research work was in situ growthof ZnO nano particles on 100 % cotton fabrics with the help of ultrasonic acoustic waves. Zinc nitrate hexahydrate[Zn(NO3)2·6H2O] and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) were used as precursors for ZnO growth. Scanning electron microscopy(SEM), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Fourier-transform infraredspectroscopy (FTIR) were done to examine the surface morphology and characteristics of deposited nano particles. Furthermore the functional properties i.e. antibacterial, UPF rating, self cleaning, air permeability and bending rigidity of thedeveloped samples were evaluated. The results regarding SEM, EDS, XRD and FTIR confirmed the deposition of ZnO nanoparticleson cotton fabric with pure hexagonal wurtzite crystalline structure. The developed samples showed excellent resultsfor antibacterial, UPF rating and self cleaning with increased bending rigidity and slightly decreased in air permeability.

Feasible Application Study of Several Types of Superconducting Fault Current Limiters in HVDC Grids
Lee, Ho-Yun,Asif, Mansoor,Park, Kyu-Hoon,Lee, Bang-Wook Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers 2018 IEEE transactions on applied superconductivity Vol.28 No.4

The eventual goal of high-voltage direct-voltage (HVDC) systems is to implement HVDC grids. One of the key obstacles in realization of the HVDC grid is the absence of a dc circuit breaker (DCCB). Several prototypes of DCCBs for the HVDC grid have been proposed, but no commercial solution has been developed yet due to insufficient dc fault current breaking capabilities and an unreliable protection–coordination scheme. In this respect, application of the suitable fault current limiter is necessary, and the use of a superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL), which has already been developed for the ac grid, is a viable solution, but there is no fundamental research about performance evaluation of SFCLs for the dc grid. Therefore, we aim to verify the applicability of the conventional SFCL in HVDC grids and perform a comparative analysis of the performance of several types of SFCLs. To analyze the performance of the conventional SFCL in the HVDC grid, three well-known representative types of SFCLs are modeled in MATLAB/Simulink, and their current limiting and recovery characteristics and energy dissipation are examined in voltage-source converter HVDC system application. From the simulation results, we deduced the strengths and the weakness of different types of SFCLs. Consequently, the likely SFCL candidate for commercialization in dc grid applications is suggested.
