        유동화 재순환 반응기에서 석유의 수소첨가 반응시 이탈된 온도제어

        This study was carried out to investigate the effect of on temperature control from actuating method, recycling ratio and the position (top, middle and bottom) of set and controlled temperature within the reactor in adiabatic ebullated recycling condition, when the disturbance was occured. Estimation of the solution were performed numerically using the finite difference method. It was assumed that the reaction is in constant with heat of reaction and the physical properties (density, heat capacity and viscosity, etc) of the reactants are same condition within the reactor.

        A Model for Computer-Aided Process Planning System in Flexible Manufacturing Systems

        Most of computer-aided process planning(CAPP) systems have been developed to automate the process planning function. In this paper, we describe an analytical model for a CAPP system in order to improve the performance of production system in flexible manufacturing systems(FMSs) for computer intergrated manufacturing(CIM) architecture. This paper proposes an optimal process planning that minimizes the load time by minimizing the cycle time and the number of workstations using Kang and Hahm's heuristic approach so as to improve the performance of production system under the batch production of discrete products. We also perform simulation using SIMAN language to campare the line utilization of each for various product types. The proposed algorithm can be implemented in existing FMSs for on-line control of product quantity using programmable logic controllers(PLC) and communication devices.

        한국과 일본 대학생의 스포츠상황에 대한 도덕적 가치판단수준 비교

        The purpose of this study was to compare the differences of moral reasoning among general students, sports related majors students, and student athletes in Korea and Japan University. We collected total 612 out of 700 (315 from Korea, 297 from Japan) and 88 questionnaires were excluded questionnaire due to incompleteness and unreliable data. For this study, Hahm-Bellar Values Choice Inventory-16(HBVCI-16), which is a Moral Reasoning Questionnaire on Sports Activities, was used. The collected data was analyzed by t-test, one way ANOVA and two way ANOVA with using SPSS Var. 17.0 statistical package program and result were as follow. First, the Japan student`s overall score of moral reasoning were lower compare to Korean university students. Second, there were 1 % higher score of moral reasoning in woman against man and in younger subjects. Sports majored university students presented 1% higher score against other related students and higher grade students presented 5% higher score against lower grade students. Third, among student athletes of Korea and Japan, although there were no significant differences, it was 0.1% higher among those who engaged in individual sports and 5% higher score in those who have less sports career.

      • Crystallization and microstructure-dependent elastic moduli of ferroelectric P(VDF–TrFE) thin films

        <P>The crystallization behaviour of ferroelectric P(VDF–TrFE) copolymer thin films on various substrates has been investigated. The substrates used include bare Si for a high energy surface, and fluorinated self-assembled monolayer deposited Si and elastomer PDMS for low energy surfaces. Low energy surfaces have been found to enhance the crystallization rate. Additionally, the elastic moduli of those thin films, having thicknesses ranging from ∼30 nm to ∼1 μm, have been determined by the buckling method. The moduli have been found to depend strongly on the films microstructure, and have shown a maximum at the crystallization temperatures of 120 °C–140 °C. The films annealed at these temperatures show more than a 5× increase in modulus than that of the room-temperature dried ones. The dependence of the modulus on the film microstructure has been found to be closely related to the change in film crystallinity. The measured moduli of P(VDF–TrFE) thin films can help with the design and practical implementation of emerging applications such as flexible nonvolatile memories and piezoelectric energy harvesting devices.</P> <P>Graphic Abstract</P><P>The microstructure-dependent elastic moduli of ferroelectric P(VDF–TrFE) thin films are measured by the simple buckling method. <IMG SRC='http://pubs.rsc.org/services/images/RSCpubs.ePlatform.Service.FreeContent.ImageService.svc/ImageService/image/GA?id=c0sm00350f'> </P>

        Effects of Opuntia humifusa Seed Powder on Serum Lipid Profile in Ovariectomized Rats

        Opuntia humifusa contains high levels of antioxidants including vitamin C, flavonoids and polyphenols, which may provide beneficial effects such as hypolipidemic activity and the reduction of atherosclerosis in postmenopausal women. This study was conducted to determine if the intake of O. humifusa seeds powder (OHS) regulates lipid concentrations, glutamate-oxaloacetate transaminase (GOT), and glutamate-pyruvate transaminase (GPT) in the serum of ovariectomized rats. Sprague-Dawley female rats were randomly assigned to either a sham-operated group (Sham) or one of the following four ovariectomy (OVX) subgroups: OVX with vehicle (OVX), OVX with 100, 200, and 500 mg/kg/day OHS (OHS100, OHS200, OHS500). Daily oral administration of OHS was initiated one week after ovariectomy and continued for seven weeks. Upon completion of treatments, organs were weighed and GOT, GPT, total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) levels were determined enzymatically. No significant differences in feed intake and organ index were observed among the groups. Significant decreases in GPT, TC and LDL-C (p<0.05) were observed in all of the OHS groups (OHS100, 200 and 500), while no significant changes in HDL-C were observed. In addition, the OHS200 and OHS500 treatment groups exhibited a lower level of serum GOT compared to the OVX group. These results indicate that supplementation with O. humifusa seeds could induce favorable changes in serum lipoprotein and lipid profiles, which frequently worsen with inadequate estrogen availability.

      • A new correlation to predict the stability of liquid jet in dense carbon dioxide

        The stability of liquid jet of dichloromethane in dense carbon dioxide was investigated in an aerosol solvent extraction system (ASES). The stability experiments were carried out at pressures ranging 30-150bar and a temperature of 308K, with a nozzle size diameter of 0.254mm. Interfacial tensions of dichloromethane-carbon dioxide system were measured using a capillary rise method to correlate the stability of liquid jets with a dimensionless number. A new dimensionless number, Z*, was proposed to define an atomization flow regime of the liquid jets in dense carbon dioxide.

        RKIP phosphorylation–dependent ERK1 activation stimulates adipogenic lipid accumulation in 3T3-L1 preadipocytes overexpressing LC3

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>3T3-L1 preadipocytes undergo adipogenesis in response to treatment with dexamethaxone, 1-methyl-3-isobutylxanthine, and insulin (DMI) through activation of several adipogenic transcription factors. Many autophagy-related proteins are also highly activated in the earlier stages of adipogenesis, and the LC3 conjugation system is required for formation of lipid droplets. Here, we investigated the effect of overexpression of green fluorescent protein (GFP)-LC3 fusion protein on adipogenesis. Overexpression of GFP-LC3 in 3T3-L1 preadipocytes using poly-<SMALL>L</SMALL>-lysine-assisted adenoviral GFP-LC3 transduction was sufficient to produce intracellular lipid droplets. Indeed, GFP-LC3 overexpression stimulated expression of some adipogenic transcription factors (e.g., C/EBPα or β, PPARγ, SREBP2). In particular, SREBP2 was highly activated in preadipocytes transfected with adenoviral GFP-LC3. Also, phosphorylation of Raf kinase inhibitory protein (RKIP) at serine 153, consequently stimulating extracellular-signal regulated kinase (ERK)1 activity, was significantly increased during adipogenesis induced by either poly-<SMALL>L</SMALL>-lysine-assisted adenoviral GFP-LC3 transduction or culture in the presence of dexamethasone, 1-methyl-3-isobutylxanthine, and insulin. Furthermore, RKIP knockdown promoted ERK1 and PPARγ activation, and significantly increased the intracellular accumulation of triacylglycerides in DMI-induced adipogenesis. In conclusion, GFP-LC3 overexpression in 3T3-L1 preadipocytes stimulates adipocyte differentiation via direct modulation of RKIP-dependent ERK1 activity.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Overexpression of GFP-LC3 in 3T3-L1 cells produces intracellular lipid droplets. </LI> <LI> SREBP2 is highly activated in preadipocytes transfected with adenoviral GFP-LC3. </LI> <LI> RKIP phosphorylation at serine 153 is significantly increased during adipogenesis. </LI> <LI> RKIP knockdown promotes ERK1 and PPARγ activation during adipogenesis. </LI> <LI> RKIP-dependent ERK1 activation increases triacylglycerides in adipocytes. </LI> </UL> </P>

        광릉과 제주도에 서식하는 박새 Song의 변이

        Sonograms of songs recorded in Kwangnung and Chejudo were analyzed to investigate the features and variances in the songs of Great tit, Parus major variety. Songs of Great tits were identified, most of which were repetitions of phrases compoed of high-frequency note and low-frequency note. Variances between the songs of the two areas in the minimum and maximum of low-frequency were significat. The CV range of the Great tit group in Chejudo was wider than that in Kwangnung. Interregional variance level was significant in the minimum (P<0.04) and maximum (P<0.0001) of low-frequency.
