Anaerobic Metabolism of the Herbicide, Butachlor in Soil

均一하게 環標識된 ^(14)C-butachlor를 二種의 한국토양 중에서 三個月間 혐기적으로 배양시 생성된 ^(14)CO₂와 휘발성 물질의 量은 근소하였다. 토양 A에서는 고압살균한 경우와 살균하지 않은 경우 처리된 방사능의 77.52%와 45.36%가 각각 MeOH로 추출되었고 나머지는 토양 중에 흡착되었다. 반면 토양 B에서는 58.85%와 37.23%가 각각 추출되었고 나머지는 토양 중에 잔류하였다. ^(14)C-butachlor의 흡착은 토양의 특성에 좌우되었다. 또한 GLC-MS에 의하여 2,6-diethyl-N-(butoxymethyl)-acetanilide가 주된 대사산물로 밝혀져고, 2,6-diethyl aniline과 2,6-diethyl acetanilide는 소량 생성되었다. In an anaerobic incubation of uniformly ring-labeled ^(14)C-butachlor in two Korean soils for 3 months, very little ^(14)CO₂ and volatile products were measured. In soil A, 77.52 and 45.36% of the sterile and viable soil radioactivity, respectively, were methanol-extractable and the rest were adsorbed in soil: whereas in soil 58.85 and 37.23%, respectively, were methanol-extractable and the rest remained in soil. The adsorption of ^(14)C-butachlor depends on the characteristics of the soils. The major metabolite was 2,6-diethyl-N-(butoxymethyl) acetanilide. 2,6-Diethylaniline and 2,6-diethylacetanilide turned out to be the minor metabolites on GLC-MS.

Uniformly ring-labeled ^(14)C-propachlor was incubated aerobically in soil suspension at 27℃ for 20 days. After centrifugation, the radioactivities of the chloroform and aqueous layer of the suspernatant I extraction were 21.3% and 50.4%, respectively. The radioactivity adsorbed on soil was 20%, 5.6% of which was methanol-extractable and 14.4% remained in soil. The maetabolites identified from the chloroform extract by GLC-MS include N-isopropylaniline, N-isopropylacetanilide, N-(1-hydroxy-isopropyl) acetanilide, and N-isopropyl-2-acetoxyacetanilide. The possible pathways were proposed for the formation of the metablolites.
