        현대(現代) 한국사회(韓國社會)에 적합한 한의학(韓醫學) "치미병(治未病)"방법(方法)에 대한 모색(摸索)

        In present-day Korea, a climatic change is causing various changes to the life of people and their body. The climate is more and more warm, so the internal environment of people`s body is exchanging to warm. The climatic change`s range is big and the speed is fast. So the harmony of human body is being destroyed and the human body`s adaptation ability is becoming low. At this condition, diseases more frequently occur. So doctor must expect the occur of diseases and practice early treatment. And in present-day Korea, a life environmental change is being advanced. The life environmental change is causing big changes to the people`s body and having influences to the occur of diseases. To this problem, doctor must expect and practice early treatment. This thesis would like to interpret about present-day Korea`s climatic changes and life environmental changes in Korean Medicine point of view, and try to present the method of Korean Medicine early treatment. And comment on present-day Korea`s early treatment method especially on health supplement or functional food and vaccination.

      • 이식시기가 2년생 인삼의 생장에 미치는 영향

        Background : This study was conducted to determine the impact of temperature elevated and the effect of transplanting times based on climate change scenario on growth of 2-year-old korean ginseng (Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer.) in temperature gradient chambers (TGC). Methods and Results : As a plant materials, ‘Yunpoong’ was cultivated in TGC at ambient temperature(Amb), Amb+2℃, Amb+4℃ and Amb+6℃ respectively. Ginseng was also transplanted on March 29, April 12 and 26 respectively. Investigation on characteristic of aerial parts were carried out on 28, 56, 84 and 112 days after transplanting and characteristic of roots were conducted on October 19. As transplanting time was faster and temperature was higher, the growth of aerial parts were increased. Compared with those of ginseng transplanted on March 29 with Amb, the root weight which tend to decrease depending on late transplanting time and high temperature decreased about 11.1%, 35.4% and 42.4% in Amb+ 2℃, Amb+4℃ and Amb+6℃ respectively. Ginseng transplanted on April 12 and 26 decreased about 20.9%, 33.9% respectively. Conclusion : Consequently, the more transplanting time extend, the more quantity increased in all temperature treatment. So, it is possible to increase in quantity to advance transplanting time although high temperature will be caused by the climate change.

        張錫純의 『傷寒論講義』 연구

        Jangseoksun(張錫純), a noted doctor of China in the early 20th century, has influenced the establishment of Contemporary Chinese Medicine greatly. <Uihakchungjungchamseorok(醫學衷中參書錄)>, which is an accumulation of Jang's lectures and publications, contains the essence of his medical spirit to fuse his theory and experience of Traditional Medicine and the newly imported Western Medicine knowledge of his time. <Sanghanrongang-ui(傷寒論講義)> is especially important, presenting the core of Jang's academic theory. In this book he gives full play of his unique experience of treating the Eum(陰, Yin) Deficiency Syndrome which is presented as excess in the upper and deficiency in the lower[上盛下虛]. He also shows the importance of merging theory and practice, the pliability to collaborate the Sanghan(傷寒, Damage from Cold) theory and Onbyeong(溫病, Epidemic Febrile Disease) theory and the study of the blended affect of external and internal pathogens.

        Characterization of changes in global gene expression in the brain of neuron-specific enolase/human Tau23 transgenic mice in response to overexpression of Tau protein.

        <P>Tau is a neuronal phosphoprotein responsible for the formation of the neurofibrillary tangles in Alzheimer's disease. To characterize the changes in global gene expression in the brain of transgenic mice that overexpress human Tau23 protein in response to the increase of Tau23 phosphorylation, total RNA extracted from the hippocampus of 12-month-old transgenic and wild-type mice was converted to cDNA, labeled with biotin and hybridized to oligonucleotide microarrays. The microarray results were confirmed by real-time RT-PCR and Western blotting method. It was determined that 43 genes were up-regulated and 8 genes were down-regulated by Tau23 in transgenic mice compared to controls, based on the arbitrary difference in the 2-fold change. Among the up-regulated transcripts, those encoding for transporter and oxidoreductase were dramatically over-represented, followed by those related to regulatory molecule, cytoskeletal protein, signaling molecule, and extracellular matrix protein. Genes encoding for transcription factor, regulatory molecule, miscellaneous function, and chaperone were significantly reduced in the down-regulated group. The major genes in the up-regulated categories included Ecrg4, Folr1, Defb11, Aqp1 and Soctdc1. The major genes in the down-regulated categories were Ncor1, Gpm6a, and Hspd1. These results indicate that the microarray analysis identifies several gene functional groups and individual genes that respond to a sustained increase in Tau23 phosphorylation levels in the brain of transgenic mice. In addition, the results suggest the microarray test is a useful tool for increased understanding of the role of Tau23 protein in regulating neurodegenerative disorders.</P>

        Safety of a Traditional Korean Medicine, Cheonggan extracts (CGX): A 2-week Single-dose Toxicity Study in SD Rats and Beagle Dogs

        Objectives: To evaluate the acute toxic effects and approximate lethal dose of Cheonggan extracts (CGX) in SD rats and beagle dogs. Methods: Male and female rats were divided into 4 groups (Control, CGX 1250, CGX 2500, CGX 5000) respectively and male and female dogs were divided into two groups respectively (Control, CGX 5000) respectively. A single oral dose of CGX was treated to the rats and dogs. Mortality, signs of gross toxicity, and behavioral changes were observed over 14 days. All animals were observed every hour for 4 hours after administration and once a day thereafter for 14 days. Body weights were determined at $0_{th}$, $7_{th}$, and $14_{th}$ days. All surviving animals were sacrificed and necrotized. Major organs were inspected visually for gross findings. Results: No animals died in any of the groups during the experimental period (2 weeks), rats or dogs. Body weights of rats and dogs during the experiment continuously increased in all groups but there was no significant change. No abnormal clinical signs were observed for 2 weeks after a single administration of CGX in any dose group of CGX, rats or dogs. No abnormal findings in major organs were observed in any group of rats or dogs. Conclusion: CGX does not have acute toxic effects in rats or dogs. Therefore, an approximate lethal dose is assumed to exceed 5000 mg/kg in both rats and dogs.

        Low-level Green and Red Laser Treatment of Shaochong (HT9)·Dadun (LR1) and Shaohai (HT3)·Yingu (KI10) Acupoints in a Rat Model of Focal Cerebral Ischemia

        Low level laser therapy (LLLT) has facilitated an improvement in acupuncture treatment. In this study, we stimulated Shaochong (HT9), Dadun (LR1), Shaohai (HT3), and Yingu (KI10) acupoints with pulsed laser diodes 532 nm [green laser] and 658 nm [red laser] in rats with induced middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO). The animals were divided into 6 groups: intact control; MCAO control without LLLT; LLLT with red laser at HT9·LR1 and HT3·KI10 (RR); LLLT with green laser at HT9·LR1 and HT3·KI10 (GG); LLLT with green laser at HT9·LR1 and red laser at HT3·KI10 (GR); and LLLT with red laser at HT9·LR1 and green laser at HT3·KI10 (RG). We evaluated the immunohistochemical changes in the hippocampal CA1 region, and complete blood count changes. Compared to the MCAO control group, the RG group showed a significant decrease in Bax and cytochrome c levels in the hippocampus, and a significant increase in hemoglobin level, hematocrit, total white blood cell, neutrophil, lymphocyte, monocyte, and erythrocyte counts.

        EBS 방송 시청이 인문계 고등학생의 사교육비 지출에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 2013년부터 2015년까지 서울지역 인문계 고등학생의 EBS 방송 시청이 사교육비 지출에 미치는 영향을 각 학년 시점에 따라 분석하고, 사교육비 지출의 초기값과 변화율에 영향을 미치는 관련 변인(초기학업성취도, 월평균 가계소득, 대학진학계획)들을 설정하여 영향력을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 서울 소재 인문계 고등학교 학생 3,017명을 대상으로 고등학교 1학년부터 3학년까지 추적·조사된 서울교육종단연구의 4차년도(2013년)~6차년도(2015) 데이터를 활용하였으며 잠재성장모형(Latent Growth Model)을 적용하여 종단자료의 시간에 따른 변화를 파악하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 학년이 올라갈수록 사교육비 지출이 지속적으로 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, EBS 방송 시청시간 역시 학년이 증가할수록 늘어나고 있다. 둘째, EBS 방송 시청은 고등학교 3학년 학생의 사교육비 지출 감소에 가장 많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 초기학업성취도와 월평균 가계소득은 사교육비 지출의 초기값에 유의미한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 월평균 가계소득은 사교육비 지출 변화율에도 유의미한 영향을 주는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 EBS 방송의 사교육비 경감 효과를 지속적으로 확인하는데 의의가 있으며, 학년에 따른 분석 및 검증을 통한 정책적 제언을 바탕으로 향후 논의될 EBS-수능 연계 정책의 개선방향 및 EBS 방송 콘텐츠 개발 방향 수립에 기여하고자 한다. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of watching EBS broadcasting of general high school students in Seoul from 2013 to 2015 on private tutoring expenditure according to each grade. For this study, 3,017 students of general high school in Seoul(SELS; Seoul Education Longitudinal Study) were used. These data were measured from the first grade to the third grade in general high school. Also, the Latent Growth Model was applied to analyze the effect of the variables as time changes. The results of the study are as follows. First, as the grade rises, spending on private tutoring expenditure increases steadily. Also, time spent watching EBS broadcasting increases as the grade level increases. Second, watching EBS broadcasting showed the greatest effect on the decrease of private tutoring expenditure by the third grade students in general high school. Third, initial academic achievement and monthly average household income have a significant effect on the base year of private tutoring expenditure. In addition, the monthly average household income has a significant effect on the rate of change of private tutoring expenditure. This study can be used as a basis for judging the effectiveness of EBS broadcasting, the effect of reducing the private tutoring expenditure of each grade. and to identify the variables that affect private tutoring expenditure. Based on the results of this study, implications and suggestions are discussed.

        This study is a late study of “An Exploratory Study on STI policy impact assessment”. In the research of 2015, in principle, it is necessary to evaluate not only R&D investment but also general policies such as various promotion systems, standards and regulations by putting the term “policy impact assessment” in front of it We emphasized the points. However, it is practically very difficultto collect and analyze detailed data of all STI policies. In addition, it is also restricted to allow policy researchers to access data within a certain range. Therefore, this study focuses on the impact assessment of R&D investment, which accounts for the largest percentage of STI policies. In this research, the impact assessment system of R&D investment is analyzed by classifying it into evaluation of economic impact and social impact assessment. Also, the evaluation of economic impact was analyzed separating into a micro viewpoint and a macro viewpoint. First, The analysis of the economic impact assessment of the micro viewpoint relates to how the government’s R&D investment affects enterprises. Specifically, the main analysis target was the employment and investment of companies, the impact on sales and profits. Second, The Analysis for macroeconomic impact assessment on the economy is related to the influence of government’s R&D investment such as national economic growth, employment etc. We also analyzed the spillover effect by industry according to R&D investment. Third, The social impact assessment is to analyze how R&D investment has impacted technology-based social change. This study is a very difficult attempt. However, we analyzed from the point of view of the consumer considering all social change areas as much as possible. The results of the study are summarized as follows. First, the study of economic impact evaluation shows the effect of R&D investment and it can be used as a basis to improve the efficiency and goal of R&D investment in future sectors such as employment, economic growth and investment. Second, through research on social impact assessment, government R&D investment has focused on specific areas in terms of improving the quality of life and social development of people, and confirmed that most social sectors are neglected. In addition, we proposed policy priorities for specific social change indicators and social sectors and proposed long-term R&D investment strategies. Finally, this study is expected to contribute to the establishment of future strategy of private enterprise through the measurement of social change index, the social influence of private research and development, and the influence of technology shock from abroad.

        Characteristics of Korean ginseng varieties of Gumpoong, Sunun, Sunpoong, Sunone, Cheongsun, and Sunhyang

        Background: Ginseng (Panax ginseng Meyer) is an important medicinal herbs in Asia. However, ginsengvarieties are less developed. Method: To developed ginseng varieties, a pure line selection method was applied in this study. Results: Gumpoong was testing of 4-yr-old specimens in 2002, the proportions of the below-groundroots that were rusty colored for Gumpoong was 1.29 in Daejeon and 1.45 in Eumseong, whereas theproportions for its yellow berry variant were 2.60 and 2.45 in the two regions, respectively. Thus theGumpoong was resistant to root rust. Sunpoong has a high yielding property. Its average root weight is70.6 g for 6-yr-old roots. Its yield is 2.9 kg/1.62m2 and the rate of heaven- and earth-grade product is20.9%, which is very high compared to 9.4% for Yunpoong. Sunone is resistance to root rot and thesurvival rate of 4-yr-old roots was 44.4% in 1997, whereas that of the violet-stem variant landrace was21.7%. Sunhyang has content of arginyl-fructosyl-glucose (AFG), which produces the unique scent of redginseng, is 95.1 mmol/g and greater than the 30.8 mmol/g of Chunpoong in 6-yr-old plants. Sunun andCheongsun are being nurtured to protect genetic resources. Conclusion: Developed ginsneg varieties will be used as the basis for the protection of genetic resourcesand breeding. Jang-Ho Lee
