This paper deals with an application of partial least squares (PLS) methods to an industrial terephthalic acid (TPA) manufacturing process to identify and remove the major causes of variability in the product quality. Multivariate statistical analyses were performed to find the major causes of variability in the product quality, using the PLS models built from historical data measured on the process and quality variables. It was found from the PLS analyses that the variations in the catalyst concentrations and the process throughput significantly affect the product quality, and that the quality variations are propagated from the oxidation unit to the digestion units of the TPA process. A simulation-based approach was addressed to roughly estimate the effects of eliminating the major causes on the product quality using the PLS models. Based on the results that considerable amounts of the variations in the product quality could be reduced, we have proposed practical approaches for removing the major causes of product quality variations in the TPA manufacturing process.

급변하는 미디어 환경에서 라디오가 보편적 서비스를 제공하는 매체로서 경쟁력을 갖기 위해서는 디지털로의 전환이 요구되고 있다. 특히, 중파방송의 경우 대부분의 매체가 FM대역에서 표준 FM으로 동일한 내용의 프로그램으로 방송을 실시하고 있어서 전환 효과가 더 미흡할 것으로 예측된다. 그러나 라디오 매체는 이동성, 개인성, 현장성, 광역성, 즉시성, 공익성이 강한 매체 특성을 갖고 있어서 앞으로도 지속적으로 서비스가 이루어지기위해서 라디오 매체의 미래에 대한 연구가 필요한 시점이며, 매체별 균형 발전이라는 논의의 중심은 라디오의 디지털화가 트렌드가 될 것이다. 또한 라디오는 타 매체에 비하여 전환에 따르는 비용이 적고, 용이한 측면이 있다. AM방송은 가장 먼저 방송을 개시 매체로 전국 네트워크가 구축되어 있으며, 수신기 또한 가장 많이 보급되어 있는 매체로서 전국 어디에서나 방송을 청취할 수 있는 큰 장점이 있다. 본 논문은 오늘날 디지털 기술의 발전으로 모든 미디어가 디지털로 빠르게 전환되고 있는 상황에서 디지털 전환이 이루어지고 있지 않은 AM방송을 디지털로 전환할 때 어떠한 서비스 모델이 적합한가를 문헌 조사자료와 KBS의 실험결과를 바탕으로 제안코자 한다. A In the rapidly changing media environment, radio needs to be digitized in order to provide regular compatible service. Especially, most medium high frequency Medias have program contents that are similar to the standard FM bandwidth, so digitizing radio will bring less effect than it is expected. However, the characteristics of radio medias are mobility, individuality, site-to-site, wide service coverage, immediate delivery and publicity, so it is necessary to study the future of radio media to provide continuous services, moreover, the main discussion regarding balanced development between medias will be the trend of the digitization of radio. Also it is easy and will cost less to change compared to other medias. AM was the first media to broadcast in Korea, and its network is spread all over Korea, also the receivers are the most widely distributed which means the signal reaches everywhere in Korea. In this study, the proper service model for AM digital radio is provided in this environment in which all Medias are rapidly digitizing due to the advancement of digital technology. The results of experimental are based on library study and KBS data of sound wave.

Remanufacturing of automobile parts is important for increasing the recycling resources. ECU(Electronic Control Unit) systems are becoming an increasingly important part of an automobile. But production company are reported in the ECU remanufacturing industry of domestic automobile parts due to a lack of remanufacturing technology and marketability. This paper introduces the ECU of remanufacturing, also grasps the structure and the analyzes failure cause that is external factors and fault in the characteristic design and steps in the Independent ECU remanufacturing process. The ECU manufacturing industry of the US was examined. The results in this paper could be used as the system information for further remanufacturing industry of domestic automobile parts.

The environment is the global issue of this era. The remanufacturing is the process of collecting the used products, disassemblying them perfectly, cleaning the disassembled parts, inspecting the cleaned parts, sorting the usable parts and unusable parts, reconditioning the old parts same as new ones, and reassemblying the parts into the product. In Europe and America, the remanufacturing industry has been systemically managed as a higher-value-added business and many people have used the remanufactured products at liberty. To activate the remanufacturing industry and acquire the international competitive power, the BER (Block Exemption Regulation) is analyzed in this paper.

Remanufacturing is an industrial manufacturing process. The merits of remanufacturing are to reuse old products to perform like a new product and to save energy, natural resources, landfill space and to reduce air pollution by less resmelting. This paper proposes a systemic approach for activating the domestic remanufacturing industry. The approach is based on inside and outside regulations to apply remanufacturing companies. And, we analyzed the state and problems of remanufacturing industry for automobile parts. Also 5 essential tactics and 20 detail strategies are suggested. On the basis of the approach, the domestic remanufacturing industry will carry out the cooperation for their competitions.

In this paper, it was performed to protect the remanufacturing industry of domestic automobile part and grasp the latest tendency of remanufacturing industry of domestic automobile part for development of remanufacturing technology and economical support of government. Research on the present statue of the remanufacturing industry was indicated that the number of remanufacture enterprises about automobile part, the annual, the number of employee in remanufacture and the type of remanufacturing. The general problems were presented which blocked the activities of domestic automobile part. It was also presented that problem of remanufacturing technology side and quality assurance of remanufactured automobile part and found out solution.

In this paper, it is researched on disassembly/reassembly process among remanufacturing system's five steps. For disassembly/ reassembly process's evaluation, it deduces an evaluation factor from remanufactured object and unit process's evaluation and then presents the evaluation method. After doing quantitative analysis on the unit process and then analyze weaknesses of pre-in-post process, the corresponding score is finally present. Depend on the score, it grasp process level of currently remanufacturing enterprise and remove unnecessary process. Accordingly presented evaluation method, we expect that a thesis of remanufacturing system's standard process and enterprise's profit by productivity increase.

Remanufacturing is restoring or manufacturing the worn-out or discarded components of an end of life product in order to bring it to the “like new” condition. The aim is to reprocess used products in such a manner that the quality of the products is as good as or better than the new one, in terms of appearance, reliability and performance. This paper investigates the automotive remanufacturing industry in Europe. To further knowledge in this field, the paper focuses on the remanufacturing of the automotive components of end-of-life vehicles. The paper scope emphasizes key remanufacturing companies, which are identified and were surveyed in terms of their business structures. The research aims to address the potential for growth within the remanufacturing industry, with regard to various players. The state of the art in remanufacturing of automotive equipment will be identified.

The energy consumption of domestic businesses and costs are continuously increasing, the electrical energy of the nation"s total energy is 50 trillion, the power consumption of the industrial field take up more than 20%. For this reason, energy-saving and efficient optimization technique of the air compressor used in the industrial field is necessary. This study analyzed, evaluated to enable efficient management of the energy through the energy savings analsys by applying for the system analyzing the energy savings of the air compressor used in the domestic industry.
