        An examination was carried out with Drosophila melanogaster to analyze the genetic effect of different photoperiod on the mean eclsion time and eclosion rhythm. 1. The mean eclosion time in accordance with changes of photoperiod showed the high speed under the situation of LL (constant light). The eclosion phae of strain managed under LD (periodical light and dark) developed the clear rhythm of eclsion restricted in dark time and realized in light time. The synchronization of its rhythm was most strongly realized right upon the illumination. 2. The mean eclsion time (hours) of five region of natural populations was ranged from 206.6 hours (cheju) to 217.3 hours (Anyang). The eclosion time under LL as faster than DD and LD and male was faster than female. 3. From these resuts, eclsion rhythm in D. melanogaster was synchronized by the circadian cycle under the periodical light and dark environment (12L : 12D).

      • 감성돔, Acanthopagrus schlegeli의 종묘생산 및 성분화에 미치는 영향

        This study was carried out to produce the seeding of the larvae and juvenile of black sea bream, Acanthopagrus schlegeli in terms of artificial hatching, feeding behavior and growth rate in each factor. Total length of black sea bream larvae hatched was 2.57±0.35mm and after 50 days, total length was 22.08±3.74mm, 49.7% in survival rate. This research was conduced to confirm the effect of tributyltin and 2,4-dinitrophenol on the sex differentiation in Black Sea bream, Acanthopagrus schlegeli. Fish were reared of oral administration of tributyltin at 0.05, 0.5, 5㎍/g and 2,4-dinitrophenol at nominak concentration of 0.05, 0.5, 5, 50㎍/g diet from 156 days to 185 days after hatching. In the process of the differentiation until 156 days after hatching, gonads were composed testis. In contrast, 185 days after hatching, testis were composed of a number of spermatogonia and sperm duct. The female in the control in which sex differentiation of Acanthopagrus schlegeil was normally conducted was 100%. The experimental unit of estradiol-17β, it was 100% in 0.05㎍/g diet concentration, which was similar to the sex ratio of the control. And it was 100% in 0.5㎍/g diet concentration. In each experimental unit with 5, 50㎍/g diet concentrations, every individuals of them differentiated to males. About the experimental unit of tributyltin, the females were 100%, 100%, 100%, 100% and 100% in 0.05㎍/g, 0.5,㎍/g, 5㎍/g and 50㎍/g diet concentrations, respectively. About the experimental unit of 2,4-dinitrophenol, the males were 100% tn 0.05, 0.5, 5, 50㎍/g diet concentrations, respectively.

      • 트리암시놀론아세토나이드 함유 구강점막 필름제의 제제설계 및 평가

        To design and evaluate the double-layered mucoadhesive film preparation for the treatment of aphthous stomatitis, the film consisting of an adhesive layer containing triamcinolone acetonide and impermeable protective layer was prepared by a solvent-casting evaporation technique and subsequent drying. The polymers, Polycarbophil®, Carbopol®, CMC and gelatin, swell appoximately 2 times its volume in 30 minutes when added to water. In vitro adhesive time was longer than 8hrs and adhesive force was 177-482g/㎤. The diffusion rate of triamcinolone acetonide from film was faster than that of commercial tablet but slower than that of the film. the effect of plasticizer on the protective layer showed that the more amount of plasticizer, the greater elongation, the lesser tensile strength. The stability of drug in the film revealed that no significant reduction in the content of triamcinolone acetonide during a period of six months at room temperature and 40℃ 75% RH. Drug deposit amount permeated through hsmster cheek pouch mucosa from film was greater than that of control film and tablet. In human oral mucosa, adhesive time was between 2.38∼2.83hrs. The adhesive feeling to the human muoscal membrane of sample was better than compared with commercial film and tablet.

        The College of Engineering was specialized to have a sole function for supplying technical high school teachers in 1977 and referred to as the College of Industrial Education according to the Government's policy. The economic impact mainly due to the oil-crises caused a severe problem to this college, namely discrepancy of supply to demand scale. Accordingly the number of student enrollment was to be fluctuated from 479 in 1979 through 800 in 1979 and 900 in 1980 to 430 in 1981. And the engineering departments have been attached to this Engineering Education College since 1981. These circumstanses met singnificant inefficiency in facility operation. This program aims at providing an overall relocation of the college facilities and preparing the practical system to make the joint-operation possible taking into account circulation, academic stream, budget, maintenance, etc. However this study could not get optimal spacing but some trade-off, considering the current situation.

        유기 수단그라스의 사료가치, 사일리치 품질 및 기호성 평가

        The main nutritional problem of sorghumxsudangrass hybrid (Sorghum bicolorxSorghum sudanese) silage is low quality and palatability. This experiment was conducted to evaluate whether organic com grain and crushed rice addition of sorghumxsudangrass hybrid silage increases forage quality of the silage. The sorghumxsudangrass hybrid silages with added com grain and crushed rice were similar to conventional corn silage in moisture content. However organic sorghumxsudangrass hybrid silage had low pH values. Silage added with gain and byproduct had higher crude ash, acid detergent fiber (ADF) and neutral detergent fiber (NDF) contents than control corn silages, while its non-fiber carbohydrate (NFC) and total digestible nutrients (TDN) showed the opposite results. Lactic acid, butyric acid and lactic percentage oftotal organic acid (UT) of sorghumxsudangrass hybrid silages were higher than those of com silage, but acetic acid was higher than control. In vitro dry matter digestibi/ity (IVDMD) of com silage was higher than other sorghum silages. Feed intake of sorghumxsudangrass hybrid silage added with crushed rice was highest among silages. Therefore, these data indicate that crushed rice and com grain added sorghumxsudangrass hybrid silage could be recommended as the most effective treatment for increasing silage quality and palatability.

        Effects of Herbal Extracts on Hair Growth in an Animal Model of C3H/HeJ Mice

        This study was carried out to investigate a promoting effect of herbal extracts on hair regrowth in C3H/ HeJ mice. The herbal extracts included the mixture of water and alcohol extract from Eclipta prostrata, Mori cortex radicis, Thujae orientalis folium, and Drynaria fortunei Smith. There were four experimental groups including distilled water (DW), 10% ethanol (EtOH, a vehicle control), 3% minoxidil (MXD, a positive control), and the herbal extract (HE). The animals were shaved with an electric clipper and the test solutions were applied with 0.2 mL volume to the dorsal skin of each mice for 3 weeks. The photograph of hair regrowth was taken at day 0, 4, 7, 10, 14, 17, and 21, and the hair regrowth was evaluated by a scoring index. MXD and HE accelerated hair regrowth after their applications for 10 days, compared to DW or EtOH. An increase in the number and elongation of hair follicles in MXD and HE groups were obviously found in the skin. The activities of alkaline phosphatase and γ-glutamyl transpeptidase were significantly increased by the applications of MXD and HE, compared to DW or EtOH group (P<0.05). The expressions of epidermal growth factor and vascular endothelial growth factor were also significantly higher in MXD and HE groups than DW or EtOH group (P<0.05). These results suggest that the herbal extract used in this study may have a promoting effect on hair regrowth by increasing activities of ALP and γ-GT and expression of EGF and VEGF.

        전해 및 응집공정에 의한 광산폐수 처리

        본 연구는 보령시 늑전리에 위치하고 있는 폐광으로 인하여 외부로 유출되고 있는 산성 광산폐수를 대상원수로 전해원리를 이용한 처리공정을 개발하고자 하였다. 대상원수는 다량의 Fe을 함유하고 있고, 현장에 설치된 간이처리만으로는 적절한 처리가 이루어지지 않은 채 상수원인 보령댐에 지속적인 오염물질을 방류하고 있는 실정이다. 대상원수에 포함된 Fe의 대부분은 Fe<sup>2+</sup>형태로 존재하고 있으나, 유출된 후 공기와의 접촉으로 산화되어 황적색의 침전물을 형성하여 유출구 주면토양 및 방류수역 주변을 심하게 오염시키고 있어 적절한 처리가 요구된다. 대상원수를 공기에 의한 산화에 의해 철(Fe<sup>2+</sup> )은 급속히 산화되며, 약 50%가 공기산화에 의해 미세한 입자로 전환되나 침전불량으로 침전분리를 위해서는 충분한 시간이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 대상원수의 pH를 증가시킴에 따라 용존 중금속의 대부분이 금속수산화물로 침전 제거되는 것으로 나타났다. 원수의 pH 중화만으로 Fe 90%, Zn 60%, Al 40%, Ni 40%, Mn 5%가 제거되지만 생성된 플록의 일부는 침전이 불량하여 긴 침전시간이 필요하거나 침전효율 증가를 위해서 고분자응집제와 같은 응집보조제의 투입이 필요할 뿐만아니라 2차 오염물질인 많은 양의 슬러지가 발생하기 때문에 후속 처리가 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 산성 광산폐수를 전기분해를 이용하여 처리할 경우, 중금속 제거율에 있어서 용해성 전극(Fe, Al, SUS)보다는 불용성 전극(Pt)이 유리할 것으로 판단된다. 특히, 불용성 전극인 Pt코팅 전극의 사용시 낮은 전압(6V-10V)하에서 짧은 시간 내(10분)에 용존 철을 산화시킨 후, pH 중화에 의해 높은 제거율(99.9% 이상)을 얻을 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. The objective of this study was developed acid mine drainage(AMD) treatment process using electrolysis. AMD contained a high concentration metals(e.g. Fe, Al, Mn) was sustainedly polluted around soil and water of abandoned mine. The AMD used for this study have a low pH, high dissolved iron(Fe<sup>2+</sup>) concentration, high conductivity, and high sulfate concentration. In particular, ferrous iron(Fe<sup>2+</sup>) readily oxidized by dissolved oxygen when contact to atmosphere. Ferrous iron in AMD sample was oxidized up to 50% by aeration, but its transformed into fine particles was difficult to remove by sedimentation. As increased pH of AMD, dissolved metals were removed by metal hydroxide formation. The removal rate of Fe, Zn, Al, Ni and Mn by neutralization was examined 90%, 60%, 40%, 40% and 5%, respectively. However, addition of neutralization agent result in a large amount sludge production as secondary pollutant. AMD electrolysis treatment using insoluble Pt coated electrode was more efficient than soluble electrodes(Fe, Al, SUS). In particular, AMD treatment using insoluble Pt coated electrode at low voltage(6V~10V) was obtained high removal rate(>99.9%) of soluble iron by electrolysis follow neutralization of pH.

        Bartholin 선의 편평상피세포암 1 예

        We report a case of squamous cell carcinoma of Bartholin`s gland for the first time in Korea. The patient had diagnosed unexpectedly by an incidental Rt. Bartholin`s cystectomy at Chunchon Sacred Heart Hospital. She was transferred to Asan Medical Center and performed Rt. hemivulvectomy with ipsilateral inguinal-femoral lymph node dissection for staging. She was FIGO stage Ⅱ (T2N0M0) and has been followed up for 9 months without any evidence of recurrence. Squamous cell carcinoma of Bartholin`s gland is very rare among the female genital malignancies. The treatment of this malignancy is not established yet. So it should be individualized to the patient by the resectability and the status of resection margin involvement.
