We reviewed 10 years experiences of the clinical aspects and early postoperative results in 544 pediatric patients(age less than 16 years old). Among them. 529 cases had the congenital heart diseases, and 15 had the acquired diseases. Open heart surgery was performed in 413 patients. 115 cases were treated with non-open heart surgery. 16 with interventional catheterization. Annual increase of the cardiac patients was not significant in recent 10 years, except slight increase in 1994. The mean age of the study patients had been evidently changed to younger year by year. Total mortality rate of the open heart surgery was 6.4%. The cyanotic congenital heart diseases were high in early postoperative mortality by 25.7%, whereas 4% in acyanotic group. The age group less than one month was most highest in surgical mortality(66.7%). There were no deaths in patients with patent ductus arteriosus(103 cases), atrial septal defect(83 cases) or pulmonary stenosis(17 cases). Among 220 patients with ventricular septal defects(VSD). 10(4.5%) were died early postoperatively. In cyanotic group, the patients with pulmonary atresia with ventricular septal defects(PAVSD), transposition of the great arteries(TGA), interrupted aortic arch(IAA), complex cardiac anomalies with isomerism seemed to be most susceptible to an early death.

With a view to examining the habit and method in which old people maintain and improve their health, we consulted 551 men and 444 women who were over 65 years old, and concluded as follows: 1. Habit of eating It's been revealed that most of the old people keep a regular eating hour, control the quantity of meal or eat a little food, and prefer vegetables to meat. 2. Mental health Old people feel the necessity for mental health and most of them (about 80%) keep good mental health without becoming pessimistic. Their chief concenrs have turned out to be about their sons and daughters and their own health and finance. 3. Managing Good Health It has been revelaed that old people do not possess any special kind of secret to keep good health but taking plenty of rest, regular meal, and proper exercise, and many of them (about 60%) have been shown to eat invigorant food that they can easily get around their living area. 4. Physical Functions It has been revealed that many old people are conscious of some symptoms about their parts of body and about to percent of them suffers from neuralgia. Some measures like medical aid especially for old people need to be taken as soon as possible. As we have found that the health-keeping method of old people consists plenty of rest, proper exercise, and appropriate nutrition, we can conclude that the recreatonal and culture facilities and programs for keeping old people in good health should be developed. It is also necessary to study food that contribute to their health and develop ways to get rid of the stresses to which they are exposed in their daily life. Presides, it is natural that government found an administrative department to deal with these matters effectively.

능란한 로봇 손의 운동을 위한 알고리즘 개발 및 구현에 관한 연구

This study is performed by experiments with master hand and slave hand. These hands are very similar to human hands because these hands have the twenty degree of freedom and five finger. Master hand plays a part as a tool of getting grasping data and learning grasping algorithm, and slave hand which is multi-fingered robot hand performs the algorithm. Experiments assume that all informations of grasped objects is known. Several subjects put on the master hand and grasp the objects of various shape and size. By using the data from the master hand, we analyze the patterns of grasping of human hands. After analyzing grasping patterns, we generalize grasping of each case and analogize algorithm of grasping. We prove two facts by appling this algorithm to slave hand. One is that the slave hand is multi-fingered robot hand which can perform dexterous manipulation and the other is that we prove the validity of this algorithm.

The Naming Service is central to most common object request broker architecture(CORBA) applications. It serves as a directory for CORBA objects-the building blocks of CORBA applications. As the Windows computing environment is disseminated, the performance features of the existing CORBA is becoming of great interest. Thus, in this paper, we intend to examine some performance features of three commerically-available Naming Service implementations of CORBA in strictly Windows (NT and 98) environment.

국내 대형 EPC업체의 산업설비 상세설계 수행능력평가 및 문제점 분석

본 연구의 목적은 국내 대형 EPC업체의 상세설계 역량을 평가하고 상세설계 프로세스상의 문제점을 도출하는데 있다. 연구결과에 의하면 국내 대형 EPC 업체들의 상세설계능력은 선진국 대비 상당 수준에 이르러 타 부문에 비해 경쟁력이 높은 분야로 평가되었으나 프로세스상에서 비효율적인 요소가 다수 있는 것으로 나타나 이를 해결함으로써 효율성을 높일 수 있는 여지가 있는 것으로 평가되었다. 파악된 비효율적인 요소들은 국제건설시장에서 국내 업체들이 경쟁력을 확보하기 위해 반드시 해결해야 하는 문제이며 짧은 시간에 적은 투자로 효과를 기대할 수 있는 분야로 사료된다. 본 연구를 통해 도출된 결과는 향후 산업설비 설계분야의 발전자 엔지니어링 핵심기술 확보에 기초가 되는 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

Taekwondo became a world-wide sport beyond the symbol of Korean traditional culture. Taekwondo go through its value and put love for humanity and love of peace in practice in order to share love and participation with a citizen of the world. There are three essential prerequisite essentials for Taekwondo to be loved by people from all of the world in a globalizational era. Those are renovation, reinforcement, and solidarity and it can be practiced through revision of match rules, improvement of equipment, continuance of exhibition tour, and dispatch of masters.Also, educational values of Taekwondo is very important to achieve peace and happiness of all mankinds. Those are follows;First, Taekwondo has a basis of education for the whole man. Second, Taekwondo masters have authority as a leader. Third, Taekwondo training places are educational sites. 五加皮의 效能에 대한 硏究

The purpose of this study is to measure the changes of regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) and blood pressure (BP) of Cortex Acanthopanacis in rats, and to determine the effect of Cortex Acanthopanacis on phenylephrine (PE) induced contraction of isolated rat thoracic aorts. The measurement was continually monitored by laser-doppler flowmeter (Transonic Instrument, USA) and pressure transducer (Grass, USA) in anesthetized adult Sprague-Dawley rats through the data acquisition system composed of MacLab and Macintosh computer. Contractile force was measured with force displacement transducer under 1.5 g loading tension. The result of this experiment was as following; 1. Cortex Acanthopanacis did not effect the changes of rCBF and blood pressure significantly. 2. Contractions evoked by phenylephrine were decreased significantly by Cortex Acanthopanacis 3. L-NNA, ODQ, atropine and indomethacin significantly altered the relaxation of Cortex Acanthopanacis. 4. Propranolol did not change the relaxation of Cortex Acanthopanacis. These results indicate that Cortex Acanthopanacis did not change the rCBF and BP, but Cortex Acanthopanacis can relax PE induced contraction of isolated rat thoracic aorta and that this increasing contraction related to endothelium and various mechanism.

압자의 압입에 의한 치관 전장용 복합레진의 기계적 성질 평가

This study was performed to evaluate the mechanical properties of four commercially available veneering resin composites for crown (Dentacolor: DC, Artglass: AG, Esternia: ET and Targis: TG). According to the manufacturer's instructions, disc specimens were fabricated in a teflon mold giving 12mm in diameter and 1 mm in thickness. All specimens were immersed in distilled water at 37℃ for 30 days. An indentation test of 68-degree trigonal diamond pyramid was made under 98.06 mN load for 15 seconds. Hardness numbers, charateristic indentation depths, flow and permanent deformation were measured and compared statistically by ANOVA and Tukey's multiple range test. The results obtained were summarized as follows; 1.The highest hardness value of 87.4 was observed in the ET group and the lowest value of 11.8 was observed in the DC group. Hadness values showed no sinificant difference between the AG group and TG group, but others showed the significant difference beween groups (p<0.5). 2.Flow value of the ET group was significantly lower than those of the AG and TG groups of hybrid composite for crowns. 3.Percent strain during the indentation was the lowest in the DC group and the highest in the AG group, but there was no significant difference in each experimental group (p>0.05). 4.The relationship between the hardness number and flow during the indentation was a negative linear on a logarithmic scale.
