카르밤산 화합물의 가아민 분해반응을 이론적으로 고찰하였다. AM1 이론적 계산 결과로서의 반응성은 결합의 형성-파괴효과 및 입체효과에 의하여 결정되는데, 결합의 형성에서 유리한 B_AC2 반응메카니즘으로 진행되는 결과를 줌으로써 실험과 잘 일치하였다. 특히 이론적으로 열적 forbidden인 2+2 반응의 구조적 특성을 가지더라도 반응에 관여하는 총 전자수가 6개인 6전자 4중심 반응의 경우 1단계 연속반응으로 진행됨을 밝혔다. 또한 각 반응경로의 활성화 장벽에 대한 차이를 정량적으로 고찰해 보면 전이상태에서 σ-결합이 깨어지는 것과 π-결합이 깨어지는 차이는 17kcal/mol이며, 6-각 고리형 구조가 갖는 입체 효과의 차이는 5kcal/mol임을 알았다. The aminolysis of carbamates are studied MO theoretically using AM1 method. The results indicated that the reactivity is determined by bond-making and-breaking and steric effects : as a result the B_AC2 mechanism is favored due to favorable conctribution of bond formation in agreement with experimental results. We found that although thermal 2+2 reaction is forbidden, it becomes allowed when the total electrons involved are six in a four-center reaction and proceeds by a consecutive one-step mechanism. Comparison of activation barriers show that greater energy is required in breaking a sigma bond compared with the energy required for breaking a π bond, by 17 kcal/mol and the six membered ring structure is favored about 5 kcal/mol sterically.

수용성 이성분 혼합용매계에서 치환된 벤젠 술폰산 벤질의 가용매 분해 반응

메탄올, 에탄올, 아세토니트릴, 아세톤 및 THF의 수용성 이성분 혼합용매계어서 네가지 벤젠술폰산 벤젠치환체들의 가용매 분해 반응을 35℃에서 연구하였다. 반응속도는 비양성자성 수용성 혼합용매계에서 보다는 양성자성 수용성 혼합용매계에서 빠름을 알 수 있었으며, 이것은 양성자성 혼합용매계에 의한 친전자성 및 친핵성 보조작용이 전이상태를 안정화시키기 때문이라는 것을 알 수 있었다. 가용매분해반응 속도상수를 Grunwald-Winstein 식, 확장된Grunwald-Winstein 식 및 Hammett식으로 해석하였다. 본 반응의 결과로 부터 비양성자성 수용성 혼합용매계서 용매에 의한 친전자성 보조 작용이 크게 나타남을 알 수 있었다. Solvolysis of four benzyl benzensulfonates have been studied in aqueous methanol,ethanlo,acetonitrile,acetone and tetrahydrofuran mixtures at 35℃. The rates were faster in protic solvent-water mixtures than in aprotic solvent-water mixtures. This was considered in the light of transition state stabilization by electrophilic and nucleophilic solvent assistance of protic solvent mixtures. The rates of solvolysis are analyzed in terms of the Grunwald-Winstein equation, extended Grunwald-Winstein equation and Hammett equation. The results showed that strong electrophilic assistance of solvent is operative in the aprotic solvent-water mixtures.
[N,N'-1,2-Phenylenebis(salicylideneiminato)] Manganese(II) 착물의 전기화학적 성질

□Mn(Ⅱ)(SOPD)(2H₂O) [SOPD: N,N'-1,2-phenylenebis (salicylideneimi nate)]as tetradentate Schiff base Manganese(Ⅱ)complex was synthesized. The composition of this complex identified by IR,A.A.,and UV-visible spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis(T.G.A.), and elemental analysis(C.H.N). It seems to be that the mole ratio of anionic ligand SOPD to the Mn(Ⅱ)is 1:1 and Mn(Ⅱ)(SOPD)(2H₂O)complex is hexa- coordinated configuration containing two water molecules. The electrochemical reduction process of the Mn(Ⅱ)(SOPD)(2H₂O) complex was investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV) at glassy carbon electrode and differential pulse polarography (DPP)at HMDE in nonaqueous solvent containing 0.1M tetraethylammonium perchlorate (TEAP)as a supporting electrolyte. It was found that diffusion controlled reduction process of Mn(Ⅱ) (SOPD)(2H₂O) complex was one step with one electron.

We have studied that the electronic structure and properties on the charged model clusters relating to YBa_2(Cu_(1-x)V_x)_3O_7 (x=0,1, and 2) by extended Hu‥ckel molecular orbital method with tight binding model. Substitution of Cu(1) site by V has almost no effect on the reduced overlap populations(ROPs) of V-O(2) and V-O(3) compared to the unsubstituted case, while substitutions of Cu(2) sites by V have a serious effect on the ROPs and VEPs of the unsubstituted case. Substitution of Cu(1) site by V has a considerable increasing for the valence electron populations(VEPs) compared to the unsubstitutions while substitutions of Cu(2) sites of V have a reverse effect. Therefore, our result suggests that, when we compare two Cu-sites substitutions, the substitution of Cu(1) site by V seem to affect on Tc less than Cu(2)-site case.
InSe 단결정에서 Co²+ 이온의 ⁴A₂(⁴F)→⁴T₁(⁴F) 전이특성

Bridgman 방법으로 성장한 InSe : Co 단결정의 근적외 영역에서의 광흡수 특성을 상온에서 조사하였다. 1350, 1530, 1710 ㎚ 파장영역에서 T_d 대칭을 갖는 Co^(2+) 이온의 ⁴A₂(⁴F)→⁴T₁(⁴F) 전이에 대응되는 3개의 흡수 peak를 관측하였다. 이 미세구조는 스핀-궤도 결합효과에 의하여 분리된 Co^(2+) 이온의 ⁴T₁(⁴F) 준위의 Γ_6, Γ_8, Γ_7+Γ_8 준위와 바닥상태 ⁴A₂(⁴F)의 Γ_8 준위 사이의 전자전이에 기인하며, 결정장이론에 의하여 잘 설명되었다. The optical absorption spectra of InSe : Co single crystals grown by the Bridgman method were studied at room temperature in the near infrared region. Three absorption bands are observed in the wavelength regions of 1350, 1530 and 1710 ㎚, which correspond to the ⁴A₂(⁴F)→⁴T₁(⁴F) transitions of a Co^(2+) ion with T_d symmetry. The fine structures are attributed to the transitions of a Co^(2+) ion from the ground state Γ_8 of the ⁴A₂(⁴F) to the excited states Γ_6, Γ_8, and Γ_7+Γ_8 of the ⁴T₁(⁴F) split by the spin-orbit coupling effects, and are analyzed by the crystal field theory.

Purpose: To present the therapeutic strategies and long-term follow-up results of testicular germ cell tumors (GCT) based on an 11-year single center experience. Materials and Methods: The medical records of testis cancer cases diagnosed between January 1996 and November 2006 were reviewed. Patient demographics, cancer histopathology and stage, adjuvant therapy, survival data are reviewed and analyzed. Results: A total of 51 testicular GCT, including seminoma in 31, and non-seminomatous GCT (NSGCT) in 20 were enrolled in the present study. Mean patient age at diagnosis was 35.6 years (range 18-69), with a median follow-up of 53 months (range 5-163). There were no cases with bilateral testicular GCT in this study cohort. Among 51patients, 30 (58.8%) were stage I, 10 (19.6%) were stage IIA/IIB, and 11 (21.6%) were IIC/III. Of the 30 patients with stage I testicular GCT, two patients who had been under surveillance showed relapse at retroperitoneal lymph nodes, and both patients cured with salvage chemotherapy. Meanwhile, there was no recurrence in 14 patients who received adjuvant chemo or radiotherapy after radical orchiectomy. The overall 5-year cancer specific survival was 95.9%. Conclusions: Our long-term follow-up results confirm the excellent prognosis for patients with testicular GCT, and indicate that surveillance does not compromise survival. In stage I testicular germ cell tumor, active surveillance could minimize treatment-related morbidity. Before deciding surveillance, however, psychological impacts on patients, economic and social costs in addition to patients’ compliance should also be considered.
