The purpose of this study was measure height, weight, chest girth, sit and reach, grip strength, back strength, % body fat and VO₂max for freshman students majoring in engineering in Puasn National University. In comparison with the results of other studies, the following conclusion were drawn. A. Height(172 ±4㎝) and weight(62 ±7㎏) were increased, but chest girth(87 ±6㎝) decreased. B. VO₂max(2.4 ±0.31/min 38 ±38 ±6ml/㎏/min) and % body fat (7 ±4%) were significantly low. C. Questionaire revealed 16% of subjects exercise 4∼5 hours per week D. Questinmaire revealed that smokers and drinkers are 18%, 86% respectively.

Five-coordinated complex of Cu(Ⅱ) complex, [CuCl(1,10-phenanthroline)₂]·Cl·6H₂O·CH₃OH, was synthesized by adding an aqueous solution of Cu(Ⅱ) to a methanol solution of 1,10-phenanthroline. Its crystal structure was detemined by single crystal X-ray crystallography. Crystal data are are as fllow: [CuCl(phen)₂]·Cl·6H₂O·CH₃OH, monoclinic, space group C2/c (#15), a = 23.309(5), b = 30.270(6), c = 7.491(2) A, B = 97.83(2)˚, V = 5236 A³, Z = 8,2745 data with I >3σ(I) (R = 00.64, Rw = 0.087). In the crystal structure of ??, the Cu(Ⅱ)is five-coordianted with four nitrogen and one chlorine atom. The geometry around Cu(Ⅱ) is somewhat distorted trigonal bipyramid and Cu(Ⅱ) is locted nearly (0.0280 A˚) on the least-squares plane of the two nitrogen atoms and one chlorine atom.

The purpose of this study was to identify a great deal of problems on test of physical ability be being used as marks of entrance examination in high school. Subjects were total 1075 third year boys and girls students attending in middle school which are located in Seoul, Busan, Taegu respectively. Questionaires made out by researcher of this study, was used to obtain many informations about results of physical ability training. The results of this study were summarized as follows: 1) Percentiles of rank classified by mark of physical ability test were as follows: special rank 44%, first rank 31.3%, second rank 19.6%, third rank 4.4%, fourth rank 0.7%. 2) Students who thought that obtained rank was in proportion to amount of training were 60.7%. 3) 54.3% students wanted to practice physical ability training not by repetition of physical ability battery but by game activities. 4) Students who took part in physical ability training positively amounted to 49.2%. 5) Owing to hard training of physical ability battery, 14.3% boy students lost their interest in physical education and 24.1% girl students did.

The effect of oxidant on the electron-transfer reaction of rac- ?? and optically active oxidants were examined. The optical purities of the product for the oxidants were increased in the order of ?? < ?? ∼ ?? < ??. This observation suggests that stereoselective ionic association and electron transfer reaction between complexes are strongly dependent upon geometric structure, orientation and charge of the oxidants.
경북 지역의 지하수 수질에 관한 연구 2 : 깊이에 따른 지하수의 상태에 관한 연구 Study on he State of Ground Water by the Depth

We investigated the contamination of ground water in Kyungbuk region about 87 points by the depth. The obtained results were as follows; 1. It was showed that nitrate nitrogen is highest and Cl^- is lowest for life used. 2. It was showed that nitrate nitrogen concentration is high in adjacent region of nightsoil treatment plant, COD is high in specific waste landfill and electric conductivity is high in golf field. 3. It showed that the relationship between depth and pH and nitrate nitrogen is good. pH is increased and nitrate nitrogen is decreased according to the depth.
라세미-〔Co(N)6〕3+및 라세미-〔 Co(N)5(O)〕2+형 착물에 대한 d-주석산용액의 입체선택성에 관한 연구

Chromatographic behaviors of some bis(ethylenediamine) cobalt(Ⅲ) complexes have been investigated by using SP-Sephadex C-25 cation exchange resin with 0.2M sodium d-tartrate aqueous solution as eluent. Metal complexes ?? and ?? were resolved completely with sodium d-tartrate aqueous solution. However, other metal complexes ?? and ?? were resolved partially and mot resolved, respectively. ?? which have -CH₃ group blocked the formation of C₃ axis was resolved partially. It means that the formation of C₃ axis was influenced by replaced -CH₃ group. With the effects of -CH₃ group, hence, it was resolved partially and stereoselectivity of eluent was greater for the Λ-isomer than for the Δ-isomer. Tris-chelate complexes ?? and ?? which have only one C?? axis were resolved completely and stereoselectivity of eluent on these complexes was greater for the Λ-isomer than for the Δ-isomer. ?? which have -CH₃ group blocked the formation of C₃ axis was not resolved.

Many European institutions and companies are developing ceramic filters which can substitute particulates and gas removal devices currently in use and which are believed to be the control devices of next generation. Because of their resistance to both chemical and thermal shocks, Ceramic filter system alone can remove particulates and gaseous air pollutants simultaneously without compulsory cooling systems, thus reducing installation and operating cost significantly. In this research, there is developed and tested, which is catalyst impregnated ceramic filters applicable to simultaneous removal of particulates and gaseous air pollutants. Emission standards of air pollutants are getting stringent and the market share of air pollutants control devices in Korea is projected up to 800 billion won by the year 2002 and low density ceramic filter system can substitute electrostatic precipitators and conventional bag filter systems significantly. catalyst doped ceramic filter were believed to be the most promising technology which can substitute particulates and gaseous pollutants removal devices in the near future.

We investigated the contamination of ground water in Kyungbuk region about 87 points by nitrate nitrogen(NO₃-N) concentration. The obtained results were as follows; 1. Nitrate nitrogen concentration is high showed 4.43㎎/ℓ for life used. The results seemed to contaminate because of excrement of men and livestock, decomposed animal and plant and chemical fertilizer. 2. Nitrate nitrogen concentration classified with about 11 region is high 14.9㎎/ℓ in storage tank.
경북 지역의 지하수 수질에 관한 연구 3 : 용도별 지하수 수질의 특성 The Characterisrics of Groundwater by Used Types

We investigated the contamination of groundwater in Gyeongbuk region about 180 points by used types and by rock types. From the view point of used types, the obtained results were as follows; The concentration of nitrate nitrogen was highest for agriculture used as 5.3mg/l and was medium for life used as 4.2mg/l while faculty used was lowest as 1.8mg/l. In case of chloride ion, the concentration was highest for agriculture use as 39.9mg/l and was medium for faculty used as 34.8mg/l, while life used was lowest as 23.5mg/l. In case of 359mg/l. In case of the concentration of pH and COD, it showed that the relationship with used types was not so good.
Ellipticine과 그 이성질체들에 대한 분자궤도함수론적 연구

Molecular orbital studies were carried out for the ellipticine and its isomers, known as having antitumor activity and cytotocity, by semiemperical PM3. Electrostatic potential studies have shown that the most reactive site of proton attacks was the nitrogen atom in carbazol ring. The net charge of the nitrogen was linearly correlated with the basicity of the isomers. We have predict the antitumor activity of the isomer by the basis of the dipole moment [suggested by Barone et.al. J. Mole. Stru.(Theochem) (1992), 253, 319]. And we have suggested that frontier orbital theory is valuable to explain for the formation of covalent adducts. These results may suggest clues that the method how to interpretate the mechanism of action for ellipticine and how to design new drugs.
