      • 1980ㆍ90년대 한국여성에 있어서 집안 일의 의미와 정체성

        본 논문에서는 1980 · 90년대 한국 여성에 있어서의 집안 일의 의미와 정체성에 관해 이해하기 위한 시도로 기존의 이론적인 논의, 한국 사회를 대상으로 한 민족지적인 예의 분석 등과 함께 1997년과 1998년 사이에 행한 두 군데에서의 현지 조사의 내용을 중심으로 논의를 전개하었다.인류학적 현지 조사의 하나는 서울의 중산층 밀집 지역에 위치한 한 백화점 문화 센터의 요리 강좌에서 이루어졌는데, 여기에서는 요리라는 집안 일을 대하는 여성들의 태도를 연령대별로 비판하고 이러한 강좌의 참여 경험을 통해 중산층의 집안 일과 관련된 생활 문화가 어떻게 생성, 전화되는가, 그리고 이 과정에서 나타나는 계층적 집안 일의 정형화는 어떻게 나타나는가를 분석하였다.이 조사와 동시에 현재 한국의 대표적인 파출부 훈련, 파송 기관에 관한 조사를 통하여 중상류층의 집안 일이 어떻게 운영되고 있으며, 주부들과 파출부 사이의 역할 분담과 역학 관계에서 나타난 집안 일의 구분 형태에 관한 인구를 하였다 특히 이 연구에서는 집안 일이 서비스업화 되어서 임금을 받는 노동이 된 현상과, 고용자 주부와 파출부 사이에 존재하는 계층적 차이에 주목하였으며 , 파출부의 훈련 과정에서 나타나는 중산층에 걸 맞는 집안 일의 내용의 정형화에 초점을 맞추었다.이러한 논의의 전만에 걸쳐서 이 논문이 강조하는 점은 '집안 일에 대한 지식'을 갖는 것과 '집안 일의 실제 수행'은 반드시 일치하지 많으며, 일상 생활에서 어느 쪽에 더욱 큰 비중을 두는가 하는 것은 뚜렷한 계층적 차이를 보여준다는 것이다.그러나 이러한 계층적 차이에도 불구하고 대부분의 여성들에 있어서 집안 일이라는 것은 자신들의 정체성을 형성하는 데 큰 의미를 지니는 항목이다.본 논문에서는 사회적으로 여성들에게 기대되는 집안 일에 대한 지식의 취득과 수행이 여성들에게 않은 부담으로도 작용하지만, 여성들이 이 조건들 속에서 수동적으로 대응하기만 하는 것이 아니라, 오히려 집안 일과 여성의 역할에대한 적극적 재해석을 하는 능동적 태도를 나타내기도 한다는 것을 보여준다 This paper examines the meanings of household work and identity of Korean women in 1980s and 1990s.This study utilizes the following sources: a review of relevant theoretical discussions, various ethnographic case studies, and the information gathered through anthropological fieldwork at two locations in Seoul between 1997 and 1998.One of the two fieldwork protects was conducted in a cooking class offered by a high-end department store located in an upper-middle class neighborhood, while the other was done at a maid training/dispatching service agency,In these two fieldwork projects, there searchers tried to understand the various meanings attached to household work by Korean women by examining how women with different socio-economic background deal with their domestic tasks.One of the significant finding in this research is that household work as knowledge and the actual execution of household work do not necessarily-coincide, showing a clear difference depending on the economic conditions of women.Regardless of one's economic condition, however, household work and its execution are important pare of women's identity and female propriety in Korean society.In this paper the authors argue that although the society expectation that women should successfully master the knowledge of household work and execute it works as a burden for women themselves, the latter do not always passively accept the social expectation, but actively reinterpret the meanings of household work and the role of women.

        Studies on the Reaction Mechanism of Azo Dyes with Cetyltrimethylammonium Bromide

        The effect of salt addition to MO-CTB mixed micelle was studied. The logarithm of cmcs obtained from above experiment is a linear function of the logarithm of the sum of the cmc and the concentration of added salt. In order to investigate the relation of the color change and the structure, the measurement of conductance to the mixed micelle has been carried out. To see the color change and conductance data obtained in the present study, structure A is more probable one to the micelles having the λ_(max) 376㎚.

        High-Performance Liquid Chromatographic Analysis of Chrysin Derivatives on A $Nova-Pak^{\circledR}C_{18}$ Column

        A high-performance liquid chromatographic method has been developed for the separation and quantification of chrysin and synthetic chrysin derivatives (12 chrysin alkyl and 7 chrysin acyl derivatives). The chromatography was performed using a $Nova-Pak^{\circledR}C_{18}$ column. A RP-HPLC was performed by using a binary mixture (MeOH-10 mM H$_3$PO$_4$) as a mobile phase, and the column temperature was maintained at room temperature. A flow rate was 1.0 ml/min, and the effluent was monitored at a wavelenth of 280 nm. The retention times for chrysin acyl and alkyl derivatives were within 10 minutes and 20 minutes, respectively. The absolute recovery of samples were all over 96%. The detection limits were 0.1~18 ng at S/N = 3 ratio.

        Studies on the Interaction of Edible Dyes with Protein (II). The effects of drug additions on protein binding of edible dyes

        The effect of drug addition on the bovine serum albumin (BSA)-edible dye complex was studied by spectrophotometric method. The edible dyes tested were amranth, erythrosine, tatrazine and sunset yellow. The moles of bound dye per protein mole and free energies for edible dyes bounded were determined at pH 7.4. The values of free energy change by the addition of drughs to BSA-edible dye were ranged fro -6, 260 to 08030 cal/mole. In the wide range of edible dye concentration (0.3-$7{\times}10^{-5}$$^{-5}$ M), acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) showed pattern of displacement different from that of dye. It was assumed that ASA has different binding mechanisms from edible dye.

      • Autophagy enhancement contributes to the synergistic effect of vitamin D in temozolomide-based glioblastoma chemotherapy

        <P>Temozolomide (TMZ), an alkylating agent, is recommended as the initial treatment for high-grade glioblastoma. TMZ is widely used, but its short half-life and the frequency of tumor resistance limit its therapeutic efficacy. In the present study, the anticancer effect of vitamin D (VD) combined with TMZ upon glioblastoma was determined, and the underlying mechanism of this effect was identified. Through cell viability, clonogenic and wound healing assays, the current study demonstrated that treatment of a C6 glioblastoma cell line with TMZ and VD resulted in significantly increased <I>in vitro</I> antitumor effects compared with either VD or TMZ alone. Autophagy, hypothesized to be the dominant mechanism underlying TMZ-based tumor cell death, was maximally activated in TMZ and VD co-treated C6 cells. This was demonstrated by ultrastructural observations of autophagosomes, increased size and number of microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 (LC3) puncta and increased conversion of LC3-I to LC3-II. However, the extent of apoptosis was not significantly different between cells treated with TMZ and VD and those treated with TMZ alone. Addition of the autophagy inhibitor 3-methyladenine markedly inhibited the anticancer effect of TMZ and VD treatment, indicating that the chemosensitizing effect of VD in TMZ-based glioblastoma therapy is generated through enhancement of cytotoxic autophagy. TMZ and VD co-treatment also significantly inhibited tumor progression and prolonged survival duration in rat glioblastoma orthotopic xenograft models when compared with TMZ treatment alone. These <I>in vivo</I> results are concordant with the aforementioned <I>in vitro</I> results, together revealing that the combined use of TMZ and VD exerts synergistic antitumor effects on rat models of glioblastoma and may represent an effective therapeutic strategy.</P>

        Prolonged Systemic Delivery of Streptokinase Using Liposome

        To prolong the biological half-life of streptokinase, a thrombolytic agent, streptokinase-bearing liposome with and distearolyphosphatidyl ethanolamine-N-poly (ethylene glycol) 2000 (DSPEPEG 2000) was prepared and evaluated. Streptokinase-bearing liposomes composed of distearolyphosphatidylcholine (DSPC), cholesterol and cholesterol-3-sulfate with DSPE-PEG 2000 was prepared by the freeze-thawing method and administered via femoral vein to rats (15000 IU/kg). The activity of streptokinase in plasma was determined by the method based on the amidolytic activity of streptokinase-plasminogen complex. Pharmacokinetic parameters of streptokinase incorporated in liposomes were compared with those of streptokinase alone. The $T_{1/2}$ and $AUC_\infty$ streptokinase incorporated in DSPC-PEG liposome increased 16.3- and 6.1-fold, respectively, compared with those of streptokinase alone. Streptokinase-bearing long-circulating liposome could increase the circulation time of streptokinase in blood and expect longer thrombolytic activity compared with streptokinase alone.

        Studies on the Distribution Coefficient of the Primary, Secondary, Tertiary Amine and Quaternary Ammonium-methylorange Salts

        Distribution coefficients between nitrobenzene solution and deionized water, show a straight line when the number of alkyl radicals against the logarithm of distribution coefficient of the salts was plotted. After extracting salts of the indicator and the cationic surfactants with organic solvents, and employing the calorimetric method was used. A calculation method of distribution coefficients of the salts in the organic solvent has been suggested and it could be used for the extraction equilibrium of the primary amine, CH3(CH2)nNH3+, secondary amine, CH3(CH2)nNH2(CH3)+, tertiary amine, CH3(CH2)nNH(CH3)2+ and quaternary ammonium, CH3(CH2)nN(CH3)3++MO- salts, (n=3,5,7,11).

      • Spinel LiMn<sub>2</sub>O<sub>4</sub>/reduced graphene oxide hybrid for high rate lithium ion batteries

        <P>A well-crystallized and nano-sized spinel LiMn<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB>/reduced graphene oxide hybrid cathode material for high rate lithium-ion batteries has been successfully synthesized <I>via</I> a microwave-assisted hydrothermal method at 200 °C for 30 min without any post heat-treatment. The nano-sized LiMn<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB> particles were evenly dispersed on the reduced graphene oxide template without agglomeration, which allows the inherent high active surface area of individual LiMn<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB> nanoparticles in the hybrid. These unique structural and morphological properties of LiMn<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB> on the highly conductive reduced graphene oxide sheets in the hybrid enable achieving the high specific capacity, an excellent high rate capability and stable cycling performance.
