국내 거주 외국인을 위한 교회 교육프로그램에 관한 요구분석

최근 노동자부터 유학생에 이르기까지 다양한 문화적 배경과 국내 거주 목적이 다른 외국인들이 대거 유입됨에 따라, 교회교육도 사회의 다양한 계층을 아우르는 훈련과 양육이 필요하게 되었다. 그러나 국내 거주 외국인을 어떤 방식으로 양육하는 것이 바람직한지에 대한 구체적인 고민과 실행은 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 내국인과 같은 형식으로 예배와 교육, 양육 프로그램에 참여하는 국내 거주 외국인을 대상으로 교회 프로그램의 참여 여부 및 관련 의견을 조사함으로써 외국인들에게 보다 적절한 교회 교육프로그램을 구현하기 위한 방안을 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 다양한 외국인 예배와 교육 프로그램을 시행하고 있는 O교회를 대상으로 하였으며, 이 교회에 출석하고 있는 외국인들을 대상으로 교회 교육프로그램에 대한 의견을 조사하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. As Korea’s sociocultural status is rising from economic development, the number of foreigners coming into Korea is continuously increasing. As such, Korean churches have continuously shown interest in and provided support to foreigners from their initial entry into Korea based on Christian love for marginalized people and with the purpose of turning them into Christians. The missionary work of Korean churches for foreigners residing in Korea has been carried out by improving the human rights of foreign workers, supporting multicultural families and holding services for foreigners in Korean churches. Whereas the missionary work so far has been focused mainly in foreign countries, the importance of missionary work within Korea has become all the more important with the rapid rise in foreigners residing in Korea. The evangelism of foreigners in Korea is a different kind of missionary work from the work carried out so far in foreign countries. But christian education programs in Korean churches for foreigners are still at a basic stage. This study investigates what needs to be considered when drawing up christian education programs at Korean churches for the purpose of fostering foreigners in Korea. For this, this study conducted a survey on foreigners currently going to O church on their reason for their participation in the church"s christian education programs and their opinion on them. The main reason for their attending church was the recommendation of acquaintances from the same country. The participation as new believers was also the most influenced by the recommendation of others. Furthermore, participation in Bible studies was still low and there is high demand for the usage of their native languages in the christian education programs, one-to-one discipleship education and online education. These results show that there is need to enhance the activities of churchgoers from the same country in the christian education programs, to develop programs where they can use their native languages, and provide online programs for easy access.
