Vol.32 No.-
I have discussed on the point of allegory to the historic-biographical novels of Danjae, Shin Che-ho: 「Ulchimundok 乙支文德」, and 「Yi Sun-shin 李舜臣」. And also I have discussed on his fantastic novels: 「Dream Sky 夢天」, 「The Struggle with Dragon to Dragon 龍과 龍의 大激戰」. In the three historic-biographical novels which above mentioned, We can find the author's historic sense of hero-worship, and in the latter, the two fantastic novels can also find the historic conscious of the national people's struggle to the dominant classes. With all the novels, Danjae have expressed implicately with his struggling faith which <I(我)> between <Not I(非我)> with the diverse forms of allegory. Especially, in the fantastic novels, the struggle of classes in part derives from his nationalism, and in part his sense that he is an anarchist who belongs to a social and political belief in 1920's. The allegorical expression of Danjae's novels are characteristics of moral, political and historical sense of allegory. With the character, <Han Nom> in which 「Dream Sky」, <Miri> and <Dragon> in which 「The Struggle with Dragon to Dragon>, and also in his historic-biographical novels, 「Uljimunduk」 and 「Yi Sun-shin」, Danjae expressed allegorically his historic sense of nationalism, and his scholarly belife as a dominant historian.
