Rummeliibacillus suwonensis sp. nov., Isolated from Soil Collected in a Mountain Area of South Korea

A Gram-positive, facultatively aerobic, rod-shaped, nonmotile,terminal spore-forming bacterium, designated strain G20T, was isolated from soil collected in a mountain region of Suwon, South Korea. On the basis of 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity, this strain was shown to be related to Rummeliibacillus pycnus NBRC 101231T (97.4%) and Rummeliibacillus stabekisii KSC-SF6gT (95.7%). DNA-DNA hybridization studies showed 42% and 50% similarity of strain G20T with R. pycnus NBRC 101231Tand R. stabekisii KSCSF6gT,respectively. The DNA G+C content of G20T was 37.8 mol%, the major cellular fatty acids were iso-C15:0 and anteiso-C15:0, and the predominant menaquinones were MK-7 and MK-8. On the basis of phylogenetic, chemotaxonomic,and phenotypic characteristics, we propose this strain to be a novel species and the third member of genus Rummeliibacillus. We suggest the name Rummeliibacillus suwonensis sp. nov. The type strain is G20T (KACC 17316T =KEMB 9005-003T =JCM 19065T).
CO2 배출 저감 및 강도개선을 위한 신발 패키지 디자인 개발

In this study, a new shoes packaging box design is developed. Corrugated material selection and box design improvements are done to improve box strength as well as cost savings, in addition to CO2 emissions suppression. Evaluation of the suggested design is done by vertical compressive strength measurement tests and box compressive strength measurement tests. Also the effect of CO2 emission reduction is evaluated by comparing the weight of the corrugated fiberboard boxes. It is found that the suggested design can reduce 16% of the material cost alone and could be contributed to logistics industries.

In this paper, a more applicable approach in real-life is presented by considering the dynamic nature of variable vehicle`s moving speed along time window and the characteristics of demand points. The demand points are classified into three different categories such as concentrated area I, concentrated area II, and normal area. Also, three different vehicle speeds along the three different time windows supplied by government has been applied. A computer simulation model is constructed using J-Builder to prove the effectiveness of the developed approach.
