Tribological Behavior of Whiteware with Different Transparent Glazes

Tribological properties of whiteware with various transparent glazes, which have different composition and microstructure, were investigated. The wear resistance and friction behavior of the glazed whiteware are a very important aspect if the whiteware is used as tableware and for sanitation purposes. Generally, the wear property is influenced by the microstructure and surface morphology of the material. The whiteware specimens with two kinds of transparent glazes were fabricated by using the commercially available porcelain body. Furthermore, the commercial tableware, such as bone china, and traditional tableware were also examined as reference materials. All of the specimens showed that different pore structures might affect the mechanical and tribological properties. It seems that the wear resistance of whiteware is substantially related to the pore size and distribution of glaze rather than the hardness value of the specimen.

Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons(PAHs) contamination arises from several source including pro-cessing of food(smoking, direct drying, cooking) and environmental contamination of air, water or soil. A red ginseng isproduced by steaming the root followed by drying. The methodology involved extraction with n-hexane and washingwith water, clean-up on Sep-Pak Florisil Cartridges and determination by HPLC/FLD. The mobile phase was a mixtureof acetonitrile and water in 8:2 by the isocratic elution and the excitation wavelength of fluorescence detector was 294nm and its emission wavelength was 404 nm. The average recovery was about 105 % and the relative standard deviationwas 0.5. The levels of benzopyrene in the selected red ginseng beverage samples were not detected.

This paper researches location estimating method in CDMA system. Previously proposed positioning algorithms are difficult to estimate accurate position in indoor environments, and possible to limited position. This paper proposes enhanced algorithm using received PN pilot signals from base stations to enhance previous algorithms. For estimating position, we set the threshold value and use over the threshold value in received signals. After selecting signals, we estimate position using TDOA algorithm. And the cases which TDOA algorithm cannot use to estimate position, we use Pattern Matching algorithm. The proposed method system showed the improved performance in estimating parameters and locating positions by computer simulations.
메조기공 금속 산화물 촉매를 이용한 Ammonium dinitramide 기반 액상 추진제 분해 연구

Ammonium dinitramide (ADN) 기반의 고에너지 이온성 액상 단일추진제는 기존에 사용되던 하이드라진을 대체 할 수 있는 친환경 녹색 추진제의 후보이다. 하지만 높은 수분 함량으로 인해 점화가 어렵다는 단점이 존재한다. 따라서 ADN 기반 추진제는 촉매를 이용하여 점화를 해야 한다. 최근에 ADN 기반 추진제 분해용 촉매에 대한 특성 및 분해 성능에 대한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 나노복제법을 통해 제조한 메조기공 금속산화물 촉매를 이용하여 ADN 분해 반응을 수행하였다. 촉매의 물리화학적 특성을 분석하기 위하여 BET, XRD, XRF 분석을 하였다. 자체 설계한 회분식 반응기에서 ADN 기반 액상 추진제의 촉매 분해 성능을 측정하였다.
Packet Scheduling Algorithm Considering Maximum Delay Tolerance for HSDPA System

In this paper, we consider a new packet scheduling algorithm for real-time traffic in the HSDPA system that has been introduced for the WCDMA system, in order to provide high transmission rates. The objective of the design is to meet the maximum tolerable delay and consider channel assignment based on the received SIR for real-time traffic users. The proposed scheduling algorithm shows that the users are ranked by the ratios of the bits in the buffer to the residual time for transmission as priority order; then the ranked users are assigned certain number of channels based on the SIR value table. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can provide a lower packet drop rate, and satisfy real time quality of service (QoS) requirements.
