This paper is a study of "the realization process and meaning of the heavenly world in Korean narrative literature." The heavenly world has been studied steadily for a long time in Korean literature. However, research on the formation process of the heavenly world is insufficient. This paper aims to reveal the heavenly world’s character by examining the process of embodying the heavenly world in Korean literature. In Korean literature, the heavenly world appears as the grandson of the heavenly god descends to the human world. And it is embodied in the found a country and establishment of governing order. Finally, the heavenly world is completed by the protagonist who descends from heaven returning to the heavenly world. This process is closely related to religious ideas such as shamanism, Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism. If we look at this process, we will see not only the complexity of the heavenly world in Korean literature, but also how the complexity defines the character of the heavenly world.
서사 이론을 활용한 창의적 글쓰기 수업 - 스토리, 서술, 텍스트의 관계를 중심으로 -

This thesis is a study on creative writing using narrative theory. Narrative theory studies the process by which a story is narrated and completed as a text. We perceive something(story), compose and transform it(narration) to create a new world(text). Each of these courses is creative. First, a story is an abstract construct of the world. Perceiving these abstract stories is the first step of creativity in Narratology. The writer selects, arranges, and describes the perceived story based on his visions. This is the second stage of creativity. Finally, the text is presented to the reader. Text is a synthetic creation made of para-text and inter-text. This is the third stage of creativity in Narratology. Designing a writing class according to this narrative process, the creative process that appears at each stage(story-narrative-text) can be applied to writing. This means that we can logically teach the process of creativity through this class.

Background: In a randomized controlled trial, we compared the bone mineral densities (BMDs) and blood markers of bone turnover during short-term treatment of osteoporotic women with bisphosphonate alendronate or bazedoxifene, a selective estrogen receptor modulator. Methods: Ten and eleven patients were randomized to the alendronate and bazedoxifene groups, respectively. BMDs were measured before and after 6 months of treatment. Blood tests were used to measure the levels of osteocalcin (OC), C terminal telopeptide of type I collagen (CTX), vitamin D3, and parathyroid hormone pretreatment and after 3 and 6 months of treatment. The variables were compared statistically. Results: The alendronate group showed decreases in blood levels of both OC and CTX during the study period (P<0.001 and P=0.002, respectively), while the bazedoxifene group had a decrease only in OC levels (P=0.012). After 6 months of treatment, BMDs significantly increased in the alendronate group at multiple bone sites, including the L1–4 lumbar vertebrae, femur trochanter, and total femur. However, there was no significant increase in BMD in the bazedoxifene group. BMDs were not significantly different between the 2 groups. Conclusions: Patients treated with alendronate showed more rapid suppression of markers of bone turnover and higher BMD than those treated with bazedoxifene during a short-term regime. Considering the effects and complications of each medication, the relationship between bone turnover rate and bone quality will need to be investigated in future studies.
“서편제”의 영화적 특성 - 원작 소설과의 비교를 중심으로 -

이 논문은 소설을 원작으로 한 영화 “서편제”의 특성에 대한 연구이다. 영화는 소설에 비해 ‘소리’와‘영상’의 역할이 강화된다. “서편제”의 경우 사운드(sound)는 배경을 넘어 주제적인 기능까지 수행한다. 소설에서 ‘노랫소리’가 부분적인 설명에 지나지 않았다면 “서편제”에서 ‘춘향가’와 ‘심청가’는 각각 영화의 전․후반을 이끌어 나가는 주된 이야기이다. ‘영상’ 또한 마찬가지이다. “서편제”의 영상은 스토리를보조하는 역할에 그치는 것이 아니라 스토리를 이끌어가는 역할을 맡는다. 영화 “서편제”의 마지막 장면은 소리와 영상이 결합하여 만들어낸 한국 영화사상 최고 명장면 가운데 하나이다. 영화의 마지막 시퀀스(sequence)는 오직 ‘노랫소리’와 영상만으로 영화가 만들어 온 모든 스토리가 얽혀 있는 응어리(조실부모, 불륜, 근친상간적 욕망, 가정 파탄, 사랑, 이별, 죽음, 절망)들을 풀어내는 장면이다. ‘송화’가소리하고 ‘동호’가 북을 치는 장면을 통해, 이들이 가진 모든 한이 풀리는 과정을 오롯이 담아냈다. This thesis is a study on the characteristics of the novel-based film "Seopyeonje". Compared to novels, movies have a stronger role of sound and video. In the case of the movie "Seopyeonje", the sound goes beyond the background to the thematic function. While singing is only a partial explanation of the story in the novel, "Chunhyangga" and "Shimcheongga" in "Seopyeonje" are the main stories that lead the first and second half of the movie, respectively. The video of "Seopyeonje" also plays a role in leading the story, not just assisting the story. he last scene of the movie "Seopyeonje" is one of the best scenes in Korean film history created by combining sound and video. The final sequence of the film is a scene in which only singing sound and video are used to solve the pain and sadness(losing parents early, affair, incestuous desire, family breakdown, love, separation, death, and despair) entangled in all the stories of the film. The scene where Song-hwa sings and Dong-ho hits the drum expressed the process of unraveling all their resentments.
