Pontryagin's maximum principle was applied to calculate the optimal input velocity sequence of a third component in a batch crystallizer to produce crystals of the maximum or the minimum average size. The result shows that the larger the ratio of the nucleation to growth rate is, the larger the relative difference between the maximum and minimum sizes. Also there are a narrow region of kB/kg, values for each b/g where the difference is significant. The experimental CSD is compared and calculated values that maximized or minimized the weight mean size using the Pontryagin's maximum principle in the salt-water-ethanol system shows good agreement when operated with experimental alcohol input sequence based on the calculated ones.

Do and pH in the laboratory, Shinchang-ho, Shinchang school and the pond by the shoonchunhyang university are investigated. Short investigation does not show reasonal results but Contamination of water in the Shinchang area due to pH and DO is much little. This work is the first step of environmental research around Soonchunhyang University. Continuous research was required for our health.

An experimental investigation was performed to study the minimum transport velocity through horizontal pipe lines for bidispersed suspension. Experimentally determined settling velocity of uniform solid suspensions was used to develope a method for the calculations of the minimum transport velocity in which fine particles and fluid media are assumed to be a hypothetical fluid phase. The result agreed with experiments within 10% of R.M.S. deviations for total solid concentration up to 15% and various ratios of fine to coarse particles.

2-Dimensional and 3-Dimensional Temperature Distribution in the simplified chamber are simulated by Fluent Code. Fluent Code is general purpose computer program for modeling of fluid flow, heat transfer and chemical reaction. The forced convection is generated by heater and fan. In this investigation, the Navior-stoke's equation and standard k-ε model for turbulent heat transfer eq'n is used. In the test site, the simulated temperature Distribution is good agreement with experimental ones.
