라이다 센서를 이용한 차량 측면 충돌 방지 시스템 개발

Recently, as the level of autonomous driving increases, research and development on advanced driver assistance systems for the safety of drivers and passengers are actively underway. Existing BSD(Blind Spot Detection) systems based on ultrasonic or radar sensors have the problem of not being able to detect blind spots on the side of the vehicle because of the FOV(Filed of View) and mounting position of sensors, which is the recognition range of the sensor, is limited to the rear side of the vehicle. Therefore In this paper we proposed a SCA(Side Collision Avoidance) system using a LiDAR sensor. The performance of the proposed SCA system is evaluated in the simulation environment based on virtual reality.
