        In this study, we obtained uniformly deposited polygonal shapes of the quantum dots (QDs), which could be considered as quantum dots light-emitting diodes (QLEDs) display in the near future. The different shapes of QLEDs can be useful to change an aperture ratio and display resolution that contribute to provide better luminous quality. Interestingly, for the uniform coating, most of the previous studies have been mainly focused on a circular shape. In the case of a polygonal drop, it is reported that the coffee-ring effect is accelerated due to its vertex structure and finally it produces a strong coffee-ring pattern at the vertices. Therefore, it is more difficult to obtain uniform polygonal QDs dried patterns. To breakthrough this situation, here, we propose a new method for coffee-ring-less polygonal QDs array using the interplay of multiple solutal Marangoni flows during evaporation. In this study, we performed particle image velocimetry to investigate the internal flow transitions. Based on the flow field measurement results, we analyzed the particle deposition trend. In consequence, we achieve polygonal QDs microarrays with totally suppressed coffee-ring stains and expect it plays a key role in the production of color filter in QLEDs.

        퀴어 청소년문학의 터전을 마련하다 -초기 퀴어 청소년소설의 의의와 한계 검토-

        본고는 퀴어 문학의 활성화와 페미니즘 리부트가 이루어진 2010년대 중후반 이전, 퀴어 청소년문학의 황무지에서도 그 저변을 마련한 초기 작품들의 등장 배경과 퀴어적 욕망을 확인하고, 그 의의와한계를 살펴보고자 한다. 한국의 퀴어 청소년문학은 동성애자 인권운동, 대중문화 속 동성애 콘텐츠의 양적 증가, 청소년문학 장르의 활성화라는 사회적 흐름 속에서 전개되어 왔다. 동성애를 다룬 초기의 장편 청소년소설은 모두 가족에 대한 커밍아웃을 통과제의적 사건으로 다루고 있으며, 가족 구성원의 반응을 단일화시켜 이야기를 단순화하는 전략을 택했지만, 갈등 봉합의 양상은 작품마다 크게 달랐다. 청소년소설에서 동성애적 성적 실천은 플라토닉적 사랑부터 11살 차이의 성인 남성과의 첫 경험까지, 넓은 스펙트럼으로 구현되었다. 퀴어 청소년의 주체적인 목소리를 드러내고, 정체성의 선언을 주체성의 사유로 변환하며 깊은 함의를 이끌어내는 작품도 눈에 띄었다. 다만 남성들의 동성애를 다루는 과정에서 여성의 모습이 조롱 되거나, 여성의 판타지에 기대어 재현되면서, 또 다른 폭력이 야기되는 문제점은 개선되어야 할 요소로 보인다. This paper attempts to identify the queer desires of early works that provided the foundations of the queer youth literature before the mid and late 2010s period when the activation of queer literature and the feminist reboot, and to examine its significance and limitations. Korean youth novels dealing with homosexuality have been developed in the social flow of the homosexual human rights movement, the quantitative increase of homosexual cultural content, and the activation of the genre of youth literature. The early feature-length youth novels dealing with homosexuality all include a come-out to the family as a rite of passage. They chose a strategy that simplifies the story by unifying the reactions of family members, but the aspect of conflict resolution differed greatly from work to work. Homosexual sexual practice in youth novels ranges from platonic love, to first sex with an adult male. There was also a work that revealed the subjective voice of queer youth, transformed the declaration of identity into an idea of subjectivity, and brought out deep implications. However, in the process of dealing with homosexuality among men, the appearance of women being mocked and the reproduction of women s fantasy causes another violence.

        ADHD 청소년의 정서조절을 위한재활용품 활용 미술중심 예술치료 프로그램 설계

        오늘날 빠르게 변화하는 지식과 정보화 시대를 살아가고 있는 우리나라 청소년들은 입시경쟁 위주의 교육제도, 학업과 진로고민, 왕따, 학교폭력 등의 부정적 환경 요인으로 인해 그 어느 때 보다 더 많은 스트레스를 경험하고 있다. 이러한 요인으로 인해 ADHD 청소년들이 증가하고 있으며 이들은 과잉행동, 주의력 결핍, 잦은 충동성 등으로 인해 학교생활에 여러 가지 어려움을 호소하고 있다. 그러므로 ADHD 청소년들이 건강하게 학교생활을 영위하기 위해서는 약물치료법 외에 심리 상담과 더불어 정서조절 및 다양한 문제해결을 위한 예술치료의 적용이 요구된다. 예술치료는 미술, 음악, 무용 등의 다양한 예술매체가 활용되며, 그 중 미술매체에는 그리기 재료, 입체 재료, 자연 재료, 재활용품 재료 등이 있다. 특히 재활용품은 폐휴지, 페트병, 신문지 등 다양한 생활재료를 활용하여 대상자의 느낌, 생각, 감정 등을 안정적으로 표현할 수 있는 매체로 ADHD 청소년들의 정서에 많은 도움을 줄 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 ADHD 청소년의 정서조절을 목적으로 재활용품을 활용한 미술 중심의 예술치료적인 접근을 시도하였다. 매체접근의 편의성, 매체제공의 다양성, 정서 기능 강화의 측면에서 재활용품을 활용하여 다양한 예술치료 활동을 경험할 수 있도록 미술중심의 12회기 예술치료 프로그램을 설계하였다. Most Korean adolescents living in a rapidly changing Knowledge-Information centric society have been experiencing much stress because of not only worry about their study and academic career but also negative environmental factors like bullying and school violence. Because of these factors, the number of teenagers with ADHD (Attention Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder) has been increasing and the students have a great difficulty in their school life due to hyperactivity, attention deficit and frequent impulsiveness. In order to help teenagers with ADHD to lead healthy school life, precaution for emotional regulation and various approaches on solving problems are required. Recently, the importance of arts therapy along with psychology consultation comes to the fore. Arts therapy utilizes various art media -painting, music, dancing, play, movie, photograph and literature- and the materials used in art therapy include drawing, three-dimensional, natural and recyclable ones. Among them, the recyclable materials can be especially helpful for emotion of adolescents with ADHD as the students can express their feelings and thoughts by utilizing various materials such as used paper, PET bottle, newspaper etc. Therefore, in this study, the art-centric arts therapeutic approach using recyclable materials was tried for teenagers with ADHD controlling their emotion. Considering the aspects of easy access to the medium, variety of materials, and enforcement of emotional function, the art-centric arts therapy program was designed for the subjects to experience various arts therapeutic activities by using recyclable materials.

      • 반복되는 두통으로 내원한 소아청소년 환자의 임상양상과 뇌파검사

        Purpose: We compared clinical findings of headaches to find out important characteristics for the differential diagnosis of headaches. We tried to find out specific electroencephalogram (EEG) findings according to the types of primary headache and the relationship between clinical characteristics and EEG findings by analyzing EEGs of migraine. Method: We conducted a retrospective analysis by reviewing medical records of 275 patients who visited the Department of Pediatrics of Korea University Guro Hospital from November 2010 to October 2013. The headaches were classified according to the International Classification of Headache Disorders-II (ICHD- II). EEG was analyzed in relation to the type of headache. Results: 245 (89.1%) were primary headache patients, and 30 (10.9%) were secondary headache patients.There were no differences in the frequencies of abnormal EEG findings according to the type of primary headache (P=0.855), and epileptiform discharge was most common abnormal EEG finding in the primary headache. Comparing the patients with epileptiform discharges to the patients with normal EEG finding in migraine, the patients showing epileptiform discharge were younger (P=0.035) and presented with occipital and atypical (i.e., not pulsating or pressing) headache (P=0.005). Conclusion: History and physical examination are the most important in the diagnosis of headache in children. There were no significant differences in EEG findings among the different types of primary headaches.However, we could find a relationship between clinical features of the migraine and its epileptiform discharge, so more studies correlating EEG findings to clinical features are needed in the future.

      • 미술교육을 위한 미술치료의 융합적 접근

        현대의 급속한 사회변화에 따른 복잡하고 다양한 면모의 사회 현상 속에서의 인간성 상실은 학교현장에서도 예외가 아니며 해결해야할 다양한 문제를 안고 있다. 특히 청소년기의 학생들은 가정, 학교 또는 주변 환경 및 또래집단에서 심리적, 정서적 갈등을 겪거나 문제행동을 표출하는 경우가 빈번하다. 이에 학교현장에서는 학생들의 인격적 성장과 심리적 안정을 통한 창의·인성적 교육을 실현하기 위해 다양한 방안이 시도되고 있으며, 미술교육에서는 미술이라는 매개체를 통한 교육적이며 예방적, 치료적 차원에서의 교육환경을 제공하고, 창조적 활동을 통한 청소년의 자기표현 가능성에 대한 연구가 활발히 제시되고 있다. 21세기는 테크놀로지의 진화와 세계화를 통해 물질 중심에서 인지 중심 그리고 창조 중심으로의 미래사회로 변화하고 있으며, 융합은 이제 현시대의 키워드가 되고 있다. 그러므로 창의적 사고가 요구되는 하이컨셉의 시대에 맞는 개념과 감성에 능통한 인재양성을 위한 교육을 지향하기 위해서는 현시점의 학교교육이 안고 있는 한계점을 극복하기 위한 융합적 접근의 사고가 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 미술치료 매체의 탐색, 특히 재활용 재료에 대한 이해와 다양한 활용을 통해 새로운 인식의 변화를 위한 교육의 접근을 제시함으로써 지속가능한 삶을 위한 미술교육의 치료적 접근에 대해 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 통해 미래의 주인이 될 학생들에게 필요한 가치관 교육과 동시에 공동체 의식을 통한 인성함양과 미적 감수성을 향상시키는 것을 기대한다. 미래사회의 책임과 관심을 촉구할 미술교육을 위한 미술치료적 접근을 통해 미래학교교육에서의 융·복합적 사고를 가능하게 하고, 치료와 예방적 차원에서 보다 더 의미 있는 가치적 교육에 대한 연구가 활발히 지속되기를 바란다. The fast pace of social change has resulted in a certain loss of humanity throughout the Korean society in a number of complex ways. This loss is in turn creating a number of problems that must be addressed through education. Adolescent teens tend to experience psychological and emotional conflicts at home, school, surrounding environment or peer group. Teens also tend to exhibit problematic behavior. In response to this, schools are engaging in diverse efforts to promote psychological stability and personal growth, in order to fulfill their goal of creative and personal education. Art education in particular is experimenting with art to establish an educational environment that is educational, preventative and therapeutic. Furthermore, schools are studying the value of art as a tool for creative activities and self-expression. The 21st century is marked by technological evolution and globalization, which drive the shift from material-based society to cognition and creativity-oriented society. With this shift, “convergence” has become a major keyword. Against this background, it is imperative that educational institutions utilize convergence as a strategy to overcome challenges school education currently faces, so that Korea’s education system can nurture mentally and emotionally intelligent youths who can meet the challenges of today’s creative society. The thesis investigates the therapeutic role of art education and its contribution to sustainable life by introducing a new educational approach that utilizes diverse art therapy media, especially recycled materials, in new and different ways. The author believes that such art education will instill ideal values in young students and promote team spirit, which in turn will bolster their artistic intelligence and develop their character. Also, the art therapy strategy aimed at art education to encourage interest in, and sense of responsibility for the future will encourage convergence-oriented education paradigm for the future. The author expects further research on value-driven education for therapeutic and preventative purposes.

        Interaction Effects of Lipoprotein Lipase Polymorphisms with Lifestyle on Lipid Levels in a Korean Population: A Cross-sectional Study

        Lipoprotein lipase (LPL) plays an essential role in the regulation of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDLC) and triglyceride levels, which have been closely associated with cardiovascular diseases. Genetic studies in European have shown that LPL single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) are strongly associated with lipid levels. However, studies about the influence of interactions between LPL SNPs and lifestyle factors have not been sufficiently performed. Here, we examine if LPL polymorphisms, as well as their interaction with lifestyle factors, influence lipid concentrations in a Korean population. A two-stage association study was performed using genotype data for SNPs on the LPL gene, including the 3′ flanking region from 7,536 (stage 1) and 3,703 (stage 2) individuals. The association study showed that 15 SNPs and 4 haplotypes were strongly associated with HDLC (lowest p = 2.86 × 10−22) and triglyceride levels (lowest p = 3.0 × 10−15). Interactions between LPL polymorphisms and lifestyle factors (lowest p = 9.6 × 10−4) were also observed on lipid concentrations. These findings suggest that there are interaction effects of LPL polymorphisms with lifestyle variables, including energy intake, fat intake, smoking, and alcohol consumption, as well as effects of LPL polymorphisms themselves, on lipid concentrations in a Korean population.

      • 갇힌 영역에서의 이원 혼합물 증발을 이용한 균일 코팅 제어

        Surface-coating technologies are widely used for a variety of applications, such as ink-jet printing, micro electronic engineering and biological arrays. In this study, we introduce a novel idea to obtain uniform patterns with multicomponents solution in a confined geometry. When the multi-component liquid evaporates in the confined area, the evaporated vapors are stacked inside the confined chamber where the evaporated liquid component is much heavier than the ambient air. These vapors influence internal flow in the droplet and can contribute to generate the Marangoni flows. The Marangoni effects help to obtain uniform deposition after evaporation. We show that uniform particle patterns can be achieved by this method without any additives, e.g. surfactants, solutes and external energy sources, which presents a new manner for control of coatings in the future.

        Idiopathic acute eosinophilic pneumonia in a 14- month-old girl

        Idiopathic acute eosinophilic pneumonia (IAEP), characterized by acute febrile respiratory failure associated with diffuse radiographic infiltrates and pulmonary eosinophilia, is rarely reported in children. Diagnosis is based on an association of characteristic features including acute respiratory failure with fever, bilateral infiltrates on the chest X-ray, severe hypoxemia and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid >25% eosinophils or a predominant eosinophilic infiltrate in lung biopsies in the absence of any identifiable etiology. We present a 14-month-old girl who was admitted to our pediatric intensive care unit because of acute respiratory distress. She had a fever, dry cough, and progressive dyspnea for 1 day. Chest X-ray showed multifocal consolidations, increased interstitial markings, parenchymal emphysema and pneumothorax. IAEP was confirmed by marked pulmonary infiltrates of eosinophils in the lung biopsy specimen. Most known causes of acute eosinophilic pneumonia, such as exposure to causative drugs, toxins, second-hand smoking and infections were excluded. Her symptoms were resolved quickly after corticosteroid therapy.
