First Report of Heterocnephes apicipicta (Lepidoptera: Crambidae) in Korea

A crambid species, Heterocnephes apicipicta Inoue, is reported for the first time in Korea. Three females of Heterocnephes apicipicta were collected from two islands in the Southern Sea of Korea. Diagnosis of the species is provided with a brief description of adult, including female genitalia.
Avitta puncta (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), New to Korea

A noctuid species, Avitta puncta Wileman is reported for the first time from Korea. One male of A. puncta was collected from Island Gageo-do, which located at the most southwestern part of the Korean Peninsula. Diagnosis of the species is provided with brief description of adult including male genitalia.

We report a species of Notodontidae, Odontosia patricia Stichel 1918 for the first time from Korea. Two males of O. patricia were collected at the end of May, 2008 from Quercus mongolica forest of Jirisan Mt., a Korea Long-Term Ecological Research site. The notodontid-moth fauna and population changes of three years (2005-2007) from Q. mongolica forest site are provided. Lemyra flammeola (Moore) (Lepidoptera, Arctiidae), new to Korea

An arctiine species Lemyra flammeola (Moore) is newly recorded from Korea. Three specimens of L. flammeola were collected on the island of Jejudo in September of 2009. Here we provide a diagnosis and systematic account of L. flammeola. Up to now 79 species of Arctiidae have been recorded from the Korean peninsula.
