중국 티베트족의 전통 길상 문양을 활용한 텍스타일 디자인

        진예선(Qin Yixuan),염미선(Yum Mi-Sun) 한복문화학회 2020 韓服文化 Vol.23 No.4

This study aimed to develop a textile design by analyzing the formative characteristics of the traditional auspicious patterns of Tibetan tribes based on the theoretical considerations of the origin, historical background, and traditional auspicious patterns of Tibetan tribes. Tibetan religious culture was related to their lifestyle, and their auspicious patterns changed into a unique style with their spirit through Buddhist culture. Auspicious patterns were classified into a plant, animal, geometry, object, and other patterns. The analysis and classification of the shaping characteristics of traditional Tibetan auspicious patterns by shape, color, and composition are as follows. The analysis of form-related characteristics of Tibet"s traditional auspicious pattern indicates that most auspicious patterns showed clear, distinctive lines and flat expression. Also, animal, plant, and object patterns showed delicate, realistic forms. They also were divided into complicated forms with intricate yet free curves, straight and oblique lines, and simple form with unvaried straight lines and curves. The color characteristics in the traditional auspicious pattern found in the mural, painting, and sculptures showed that five dominant colors were used: red, yellow, navy, green, and white, basically and occasionally, black and gold were used as auxiliary colors. Also, patterns showed complementary contrast using strong, vivid hues and expressed splendidly and magnificently for decorative effect. The analysis of composition in traditional Tibetan auspicious patterns showed that one pattern has various patterns inside. Also, there were different ways to compose patterns that combine different designs, such as repeating, symmetric arrangement, continuation, and overlapping. A total of 16 textile designs were produced using ten patterns include ‘Palbo’ (i.e., Bobyung, Bosan, Geum-uh, Beopla, Seung-ri-dang, Yeo-ui-gyul, Beop-ryun, and Lotus),‘Six-Character Great Bright Mantra,’ and ‘Swastika,’ known as representative auspicious patterns.
