시각장애인들은 조선시대까지는 점복업집단으로, 식민지시대 이후에는 안마업을 중심 으로 한 직업집단으로 강력한 정체성을 유지하고 있다. 약자에 대한 보호가 일천한 한국 사회에서 시각장애인의 안마사업권에 대한 권리를 약자집단이 유지해오고 있는 것은 의 료계의 경쟁을 고려해볼 때 상당히 놀라운 사실이라 볼 수 있다. 이런 권리의 유지에는 시각장애인의 강력한 집단정체성이 기여했으며, 본연구자는 구술문화의 전통이 집합기억 을 통해 집합정체성 형성에 이바지했다고 주장한다. 이에는 시각장애인 구술문화의 대표 서사, 왕이 시각장애인의 직업을 보호해주었다는 것과 불의한 경우 지속적으로 시각장애 인들이 집단적으로 저항했다는 두 주장이 집합기억 형성의 핵심적 기제였다. 또한 시각장 애인의 구술문화에는 다양한 형식적 특성이 존재하는데, 은어의 광범위한 사용, 사실의 재조합, 집합기억을 통한 정체성의 형성이 대표적이라고 볼 수 있다. 본연구자는 시각장 애인의 구술문화에 대한 분석을 통해 사회적 약자집단의 권리가 단순히 국제규범이 하향 식으로 주어지는 것이 아니라 풍부한 문화적 전통을 통해 형성되었음을 밝히고자 했다. The blind organized themselves as a strong professional guild of fortune-tellers during the Chosun dynasty and were transformed to the profession of masseurs in the colonial period. In a society with little support for minority populations, the reserved profession of anma (massage) in Korea as an alternative form of medicine seems very conspicuous, especially considering the strong competition between Western and Eastern medicine. This successful upholding of the profession has been possible due to the strong group identity of the blind organization such as the guild of blind fortune-tellers, which was inherited by the organization of blind masseurs. I argue that this strong group identity was built through the collective memory and oral tradition of the blind: firstly, the special profession of the blind had been protected by the state from traditional times; secondly, when the right to their profession was threatened, the blind constantly fought for their claim to and protection of their right. Therefore, the oral tradition of the blind played an important role in the formation of the right of the blind in Korea to the profession.

The nutritional requirements for antimicrobial activity of Streptomyces rimosus AG-P1441 were optimized using statistically-based experimental designs at a flask level. Based on a one-factor-at-a-time (OFAT) approach, glucose, corn starch and soybean meal were identified as the carbon and nitrogen sources having a significant effect on antimicrobial productivity. As a result of investigating the effect of glucose concentration, the highest antimicrobial activity was observed at 3% concentration. Response surface methodology (RSM) was then applied to optimize the growth medium components (corn starch, soybean meal, MgCl2 and glutamate). Antimicrobial productivity increased sharply when the medium consisted of 3% glucose, 3.5% corn starch, 2.5% soybean meal, 1.2 mM MgCl2 and 5.9 mM glutamate. The fermentation using optimized culture medium in a 5-L bioreactor allowed a significant increase in antimicrobial activity, evaluated by the paper disc assay, revealed a 29 mm inhibition zone diameter against Phytophthora capsici.

탈시설 운동과 사람중심 노동: 이탈리아의 바자리아법과 장애인 협동조합운동

This study examines how the Basaglia legislation in Italy, which abolished the forced isolation of persons with disabilities, and the subsequent disability movement in the community, and analyzes the process of disadvantaged and disabled persons’ forming a new network of people-centered labor through cooperative movements. Italy is now attracting attention as a new model in the social economy and the disability movement of people with mental disabilities all over the world. The Basagila Act (Statute 180), introduced by a psychiatrist named Basaglia, was a pioneering example of deinstitutionalization in 1978, which abolished forced isolation of mental hospitals for people with disabilities. This was a radical legislation in the turmoil of the Italian 1968 Revolution. In this study, the process of repeal of forced isolation is defined as the dismantling process of the dispositif and apparatus of control and the restoration of new capacities and relations. This is a process in which disabled people, who have been excluded and invisible from society, are restoring their capabilities in reciprocal social relations and restoring disconnected networks. In the Bologna region of Italy, people with mental disabilities are forming a new relationship through the activities of people-centered labor and co-operatives rewriting the history of the control and confinements of hospitals. 본 연구는 장애인에 대한 강제격리를 폐지한 이탈리아의 바자리아(Basaglia)법 입법과 그 이후 장애인 탈시설 운동이 지역사회에서 어떻게 뿌리내렸는지를 검토하여, 장애인을 배제하고 비가시화했던 정신병원이란 수용시설이 해체되고 장애인이 협동조합을 통해 사람중심 노동과 새로운 관계망을 형성하는 과정을 분석한다. 이탈리아는 현재 전세계적으로 사회적 경제나 정신장애인의 탈시설 운동에서 새로운 모델로 주목받고 있다. 프랑코 바자리아라는 정신과 의사에 의해 도입된 바자리아법(법령 180호)은 1978년 제정되어 장애인의 정신병원 강제격리를 폐지한 탈시설의 선구적인 사례이다. 이탈리아에서 근대 초기부터 내려오던 정신장애인에 대한 강제격리를 폐지한 바자리아법은 이탈리아 68혁명의 자장 속에서 이루어진 급진적인 입법이었다. 본 연구에서는 강제격리의 페지와 탈시설의 과정을 수용시설이란 장치(dispositif)의 해체와 새로운 관계망의 복원으로 규정한다. 이는 사회에서 배제되고 비가시화되었던 장애인들이 호혜성에 기반한 사회적 관계역량을 회복하며 또한 단절된 관계망을 형성해가는 과정이다. 바자리아법 이후 이탈리아의 장애인 협동조합 운동은 기존에 객체화되고 대상으로 위치지워져, 인간의 권리를 박탈당한 장애인들과 소위 비정상으로 객체화되었던 이들이 사회와 새로운 관계를 맺을 수 있도록 매개하는 새로운 관계망을 형성한 대표적인 사회운동이다.
