In the text analyticl method and text - based viewpoints in literature education today, there problem of neglecting the response of the students and student involvement. This study deals with these problems by using the theory of L.M Rosenblatt and the response - based approach in teaching literature. The response - based culliculm sugested in this stude coniceders the balance between the discipline and the students to be highly important. The teaching - learning activities proposed in this study includes discussion, role-plying, reflectiveing - writing, the note of reponse, question and intertexuality. Such activities are helpful on enhancing the response of the students. In teaching lierature, the primary responsibility is to incourage the aesthetic stance. Literary reponse is private, but expression of a response is public. After the reading, the initial function is to deepen the experience and help the students to retern to, relive and savor the experience. The implication for teaching of literature that has grown out of this study is that a major part of litature instruction should be centered on student are able to express their opinionsopenly in the class, while teachers encourage the students to think for themselves. It is time for literature education to move toward a response - based teaching, where the experience of students are considered important and where the emphasis is not on the isolated facts, test and right answers that discourge student involvement. Since the instruction of literature is vital part of most curricula, this research gives many insight to teacher and research who constantly searchly for ways to improve teaching of literature.

This dissertation aims to study the essential aesthetics of Sijo. Yugdang pursued to find out choseon's soul. Garam was an extrovert who enjoyed gaiety from loving the nature deeply. His temper favor of the nature was on the basics of one's true nature resulted from Korean classical scholars spirits. Yi Howoo ravealed a strong doubt in his mind, facing all the justice and free mind. Chong, taking a poetic interest in korean soul and object with classical zest. In conclusion the Sijo poets, mentioned above experimented various from of Sijo with the poetic value and function, added a refinement on the traditional Sijo came to a new Sijo from to reflect the time where they lived.

The sea holds over 70% of Earth Surface, and the Korean Peninsula is surrounded by the sea in the three faces, and thus our nation's life with the sea has the big meaning. The sea recollects the longing, hope and curiosity, but becomes the space of solitude, suffering and break. The sea is used as the field of life, the site of life, and the thesaurus of life in the modern ages, and is deeply recognized as the sea of existence related to the life and as the ecological environment and thus the concern toward the literature becomes accentuated. The Korean Verse(Shijo) is our native literature, and its form was completed at the end of Koryo Age, and has been handed down to today, and indicates our nation's life, emotion and breathing. So, it makes us to consider the recognition and compete knowledge of our nations toward the sea which we have examined the meaning of sea in the Korean Verse(Shijo) The marine literature shown in the Korean Verse(Shijo)does not reach th the expectation as much as the history & depth of the Korean verse(Shijo) It is rare in he marine Shijo works showing the inherent and deep understanding on sea or with the true experience in the watching sea, sensitive-scenery-sea and feeling-projection-sea. If we think of our geographical valuable conditions with the situations of Marine Country, which is sea in 3 faces and is connected with our living, the Shijo poets will have recognize the sea more, experience in the sea more, experience in the sea, show the interest toward the sea and expand & deepen the works activities.
