      • 『장진요편(藏珍要編)』의 팔맥교회혈 침법 연구

        정유옹 ( Jung Yooong ),김남일 ( Kim Namil ) 사암침법학회 2021 사암침법학회지 Vol.3 No.1

『Jang-jin-yo-pyeon』 is a medical book on acupuncture, published in 1894 by Song-gye. 『Jang-jin-yo-pyeon』 could not be seen in Korea, but it was published and made known in Japan by the disciples of the acupuncturist Yanagiya-Sorei, who took it to Japan during the Japanese colonial period. In 『Jang-jin-yo-pyeon』, the patient’s constitution was more important than the severity of the disease. In 『Jang-jin-yo-pyeon』, it seems to have been applied to the Eight Confluent Acupoints by classifying it according to weakness and strength, outside and inside, cold and heat, dry and wet. Referring to Kim Hong-kyung’s theory of Saam acupuncture, In 『Jang-jin-yo-pyeon』, it can be seen that he tried to control the human body with eight acupuncture points : (SI3-LU7) to treat strength and weakness, (TE5-PC6) to treat the outside and inside, (BL62-KI5) to treat cold and heat, and (GB15-SP4) to treat dryness and moisture. It can be seen that the intention was to tune the metabolism of the human body by limiting the application of only 8 types of acupoints placed in a relative relationship. This book is also one of the cases that proves that the acupuncture method of Joseon during the Japanese colonial period spread to Japan and contributed to the development of modern acupuncture. Through this case, it is presumed that the indigenous acupuncture methods of Joseon, which had been handed down for a long time, were cut off in the process of transition to the modern era, or that many traditional knowledge of Korean medicine was lost due to historical tragedies such as the Japanese colonial period or the Korean War. Efforts to discover and re-illuminate these traditional Korean acupuncture treatments so that they can be used in clinical practice are also thought to be a way to learn the old and learn the new.

      • 진맥과 사암침법 연구

정유옹 ( Jung Yooong ),최기현 ( Choi Kihyeon ),김남일 ( Kim Namil ) 사암침법학회 2021 사암침법학회지 Vol.3 No.1

I described how to discriminate the symptoms of a disease and use the Saam acupuncture method by placing a pulse on the wrist and applying the pulse. It is true that the method of linking the pulse to the clinical practice is not unified and varied. In this reality, I connected Kim Hong-kyung’s Saam acupuncture methods and pulse diagnosis method. It is easy to understand if the pulse is divided into yin and yang according to the criteria. If the pulse is assigned to the five elements, it can be applied to the diagnosis of the five elements in Saam acupuncture method. By assigning the pulse to the six qi, the pulse can be substituted for the meridian composed of the six qi and the five elements. Among the Saam acupuncture methods of Kim Hong-kyung, the classification of pulses is useful in the Samboo acupuncture method, which finds and treats the two most excessive five elements. In addition, by classifying the twenty-eight pulses into the five elements and discriminating the symptoms of disease, it can be applied to various acupuncture methods such as Samboo acupuncture. So far, I have looked at Saam acupuncture method and pulse. Although only Kim Hong-kyung’s Saam acupuncture method analyzed the pulse, it can be applied to various Korean medicine treatments in the future.

        『의휘(宜彙)』의 침구법 연구

        김남일(Namil Kim),조명래(Myoung-Rae Cho),국수호(Sooho Kug),정유옹(Yooong Jung) 대한미병의학회 2023 대한미병의학회지 Vol.4 No.1

Objectives “Uihwi” is a book of Korean medicine written under the pseudonym of Geumlisanin in the late Joseon Dynasty. At that time, it was published by collecting famous prescriptions of experience across the country, and it can be said to be an important data in that it gives a glimpse of oriental medicine at the end of the Joseon Dynasty, but there are not many studies on “Uihwi”. This paper attempted to examine the characteristics of oriental medicine at the end of the Joseon Dynasty. Methods Using the text of “Uihwi” as the subject of research, comparing to other medical texts, and to examine the position of acupuncture in it. Results Thus, the following conclusions were obtained. “Uihwi” was mainly edited by citing medical books published in Joseon, and is also a comprehensive medical book that combines the experiences of himself and other medical professionals. In addition, it can be seen that medicine at that time was very practical by presenting uncomplicated prescriptions. In the case of acupuncture, an acupuncture method that synthesizes the clinical achievements of Joseon was presented. Conclusions The practicality was emphasized by reducing the theoretical explanation, and based on this practicality, efforts were made to aggregate medicine in the late Joseon Dynasty.
