문화재로 지정된 SH고등학교 강당의 음향리노베이션설계 및 평가

국내 문화예술공간에 대한 통계조사에서 나타나듯이, 국내의 많은 공연시설들은 노후화에 따른 크고 작은 규모의 개보수가 필요한 상태이다. 그러나 이와 같은 기존공간의 음향개보수과정에서 참고가 될만한 사례연구가 많지 않은 실정이다. 본 연구는 문화재로써 많은 제약조건을 갖는 SH고등학교 강당을 대상으로 초기 음향검토에서부터 사용자의 요구조건 및 문제점들을 고려한 대안의 수립 그리고 대안들의 적용에 따른 음향성능평가과정 및 그 결과를 분석함으로써 음향리노베이션 설계의 참고자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 개선방안들의 적용결과, 실의 잔향특성이 개선되었으며 언어명료도 및 음악명료도가 개선되었음을 확인하였다. 그러나 라우드니스는 목표한 수준에 미치지 못하였으며 이는 천장에 적용된 슬랫형 구조가 강한 반사음을 제공하지 못하기 때문인 것으로 분석되었다. As can be seen in the statistics on domestic performance facilities, small or large scale of acoustic renovations seem to be unavoidable in many of those facilities due to its senility. However it is hard to find case studies which can be referred to for its acoustic renovation process. This study tried to provide a case study example of acoustic renovation for a high school auditorium which has many restrictions as a cultural heritage building. Requirements from the client and acoustic problems found through a field measurement of existing space motivated acoustic design solutions and alternatives which can improve the acoustics of the space. The whole process from the initial stage of diagnosing acoustic problems to the final stage of a post acoustic evaluation after the completion of construction was described. The result from the post acoustic evaluation suggested that reverberation characteristics of the space as well as definition and clarity have been greatly improved by applying acoustic design solutions and alternatives. However, loudness of sounds in the space didn't reach the aimed level, which is due to the limited capability of slat ceiling structure for providing strong early reflections.

Recently a slat type ceiling is widely used in various spaces, such as music performance spaces and concourse of airport and a general reception area of a building. However, it is hard to find a proper design guideline or material useful in designing such spaces, due to the lack of relevant researches on the effect of a slat ceiling on room acoustics. The present work investigated the effect of a slat type ceiling using a physical scale model method. A 1/20 scale model of a small shoe-box type music performance hall was built and a slat ceiling with different configurations was installed. 6 cases of different ceiling configurations were considered with the combination of 2 slat ceiling height cases and 3 distance cases between slats. The effect of a slat ceiling on the acoustics of a room was evaluated by measuring reverberance($T_{30}$), intelligibility and clarity($D_{50}$ and $C_{80}$), and loudness(G and $G_{80}$). 최근 슬랫형 천장은 음악전용공연장인 음악당에서부터 공항대합실을 포함한 다양한 규모와 용도의 건물에서 그 적용범위가 확대되고 있다. 그러나 이와 같은 구조의 활용에 따른 공간의 실내음향에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구가 거의 없어 공간의 계획 시 활용 가능한 자료가 거의 없다. 본 연구에서는 1/20 축소모형실험을 통하여 shoe-box 형태의 소규모 공연장에서 슬랫형 천장의 적용이 객석의 음향에 미치는 영향을 측정 분석하였다. 실험은 슬랫의 간격 및 설치높이 변화의 조합에 따른 6가지 설치조건들을 대상으로 하였으며, 잔향시간 ($T_{30}$), 명료도 ($D_{50}$ 및 $C_{80}$), 그리고 음의 세기 (G 및 $G_{80}$) 측면에서 그 영향을 분석하였다.
