Engine lubrication system is generally affected by vehicle driving conditions; acceleration, braking deceleration, and cornering. The oil supply system such as oil pan, baffle plate, and oil pick-up pipe should be optimized to cope with severe driving conditions. The main purpose of this paper is to understand the effect of the engine tilling angle on the oil supply system using engine tilling test rig. For this end, the oil pressure fluctuation in the main gallery and oil aeration in the oil pan are measured at various engine tilting angles. In addition, the oil flow using transparent oil pan is visualized to investigate the cause of the formation of oil aeration. The test results show there is a strong correlation between the main gallery oil pressure fluctuation and oil aeration. It is also found !hal the visualization technique is helpful to understand the formation process of oil aeration

An experimental study on engine performance and emission characteristics for bio-alcohol fuels considered as RFS fuel. The Bio-alcohol fuel were mixed ethanol and butanol and used in a 1.8 liter mpi engine. The WLTC results showed that the CO₂ greenhouse gas of EB30 mixed fuel reduced by 2.2% than gasoline. The RDE emission results also confirmed that CO₂ greenhouse gas of the EB30 mixed fuel is lower than that of gasoline.
