한국 제조기업의 기술혁신, 고용, 기업성과 간 관계에 대한 3SLS 분석: 고용의 양적·질적 특성 관점에서

본 연구는 기업의 기술혁신이 고용과 기업성과에 미치는 영향을 변수 간 양방향 인과관계를 고려하여 분석하였다. 기술혁신의 대리변수는 기업의 특허출원 수이며, 분석대상은 100인 이상 규모의 국내 제조업체이다. 실증분석의 경우 기술혁신(특허출원), 고용(근로자 수, 숙련 근로자 비중), 기업성과(근로자 1인당 매출액)가 종속변수인 연립방정식 모형을 3단계 최소자승추정법(3SLS)으로 추정하였다. 외생변수로 기업의 경영상 특성과 일반적 특성을 통제하였고, 각 방정식의 식별변수로 R&D집약도, 근로자 1인당 노동비용(또는 기업부설연구소 보유 여부), 교육훈련투자를 사용하였다. 분석자료는 인적자본기업패널(HCCP)의 1차년도(2005년)∼7차년도(2017년) 자료이며, 이를 NICE신용평가정보(주)의 기업 재무자료 및 한국 특허청의 특허정보와 병합하여 사용하였다. 분석결과에 의하면, 기업의 특허출원이 활발할수록 근로자 수, 숙련 근로자 비중, 근로자 1인당 매출액이 모두 증가하였고, 반대 방향의 인과관계도 모두 유의하였다. 따라서 기업의 기술혁신은 고용의 확대 및 질적 제고뿐 아니라 기업의 지속적인 성장에도 기여하는 것으로 확인된다. This study analyzes the effects of firms’ technology innovation(patent applications) on employment(number of workers and proportion of high-skilled workers) and corporate performance(sales per worker), while considering the two-way causal relationships between these variables. We used the three-stage least squares(3SLS) estimation to examine system of equations in which the dependent variables affect each other with a two-year lag wherever relevant, and applied it to firm-level panel data of Korean manufacturers with 100 or more workers. Our data covered the period of 2005-2017. Exogenous variables, such as firms’ managerial and other characteristics, were controlled as explanatory variables. The identification variables for each equation included firms’ R&D intensity, labor cost per worker(or operation of firms’ own R&D center), and investment on worker training. We find that firms’ patent applications increased number of workers, proportion of high-skilled workers, and sales per worker; the causal relationships in the opposite direction were also significant. Evidently, firms’ technology innovation is critical to the growth and quality improvement of employment as well as sustainable corporate growth.

지난 몇년간 우리의 온라인 게임은 괄목할 만한 성장을 거듭했으며, 이제 양적인 면에서 국내시장에는 고점에 와있다고 본다. 하지만 PC성능의 향성, 플랫폼의 다양화, 초고속통신망의 확대, 2D에서 3D로의 발전, 다양한 게임 장르의 구현 등으로 질적인 면에서의 성장은 앞으로도 고도의 성장을 구가할 수 있다고 본다. 특히 해외시정의 경우 인프라 구축과 더불어 급성장세를 유지하리라 예측된다. 향후 1~2년 안에 200억 달러가 넘을 세계 게임시장에서 온라인 게임이 차지하는 비중은 점점 늘어가는 추세이며 앞으로 5년안에는 모바일, 콘솔온라인, MMORPG 등의 네트워크 관련 게임이 전체시장의 50%에 이를 전망이다. 이는 현재 온라인 게임이 차지하고 있는 세계시장 점유율과 매출 총액에 대비한다면 이들이 성장의 주축을 이루리라고 판단하기에 어렵지 않다.

움직임 모델링과 해석을 통한 고속 블록정합 움직임 예측 방법

본 논문에서는 블록정합 알고리즘을 영상 블록들의 상관도 함수로 모델링하여, 고속 블록정합 방법을 위한 탐색 패턴을 유도하였으며, 이는 고속 블록정합 방법에서 주로 사용되는 다이아몬드 형태의 탐색 패턴에 대한 이론적인 기반을 제공한다. 이와 더불어, 능동적인 탐색 패턴과 물체의 움직임에 따른 통계적인 특성을 사용하여 새로운 고속 블록정합 움직임 예측방법을 제안하였다. 적절한 움직임 탐색 패턴을 얻기 위해 움직임 벡터와 영상간 블록들의 차이값 사이의 통계적인 관계를 이용하였다. 제안한 방법을 움직임 탐색 패턴을 능동적으로 변화시키면서 다른 고속 블록정합 방법들과 비교해 보면, 요구되는 탐색점의 개수를 감소시키면서 움직임 예측성능을 향상됨을 확인할 수 있었다. By modeling the block matching algorithm as a function of the correlation of image blocks, we derive search patterns for fast block matching motion estimation. The proposed approach provides an analytical support for the diamond-shape search pattern, which is widely used in fast block matching algorithms. We also propose a new fast motion estimation algorithm using adaptive search patterns and statistical properties of the object displacement. In order to select an appropriate search pattern, we exploit the relationship between the motion vector and the block differences.
