From MeOH Ex. of the roots of Cirsium xanthocanthum Nakai (Compositae), cream-col-ored microneedles crystalline substance, mp 255-257˚ was isolated. This substance was identified as linarin, hydrolysate, as acacetin on the basis of mmp, uv, ir, nmr, ppc and by the direct comparison with authentic samples.

Examination of the alkaloids in the stem of Berberis amureusis RUPRECHT var. latifolia NAKAI was carried out. As tertiary bases, the biscoclaurin type base berbamine and oxyberberine as the berberine type were isolated, and jatrorrhizine, berberine, shobakunine as the berberine type and the aphorphine type magnoflorine were obtained as the quarternary bases.

Sugar beet represents the root of Beta vulgaris L. var. rapa DUMORT. of the family, Chenopodiaceae. Sugar beet has been generally cultivated in the northern temperate region, but in our country, there has been seen no production of sugar from the cultivated beet so far We obtained the seeds of sugar beet from Canada and began to cultivate them in our N.I.H. Medicinal Plant Garden from April, 1969. We found such successful 90% germination, where with in October obtained 1㎏ root per stub which contained 16∼20% of sugar.

구절초Chrysanthemum sibiricum FISCHER의 성분 연구

A yellowish white microneedles, C23H32O14.I1/2 H2O, m.p.262-4o, [alpha]D20 = -71.43o(C=0.42, pyridine), its acetate m.p.123-5o, were obtained in 0.3% yield from the leaves of Chrysanthemum sibiricum FISCHER. This substance is insoluble in water and the usual organic solvents except pyridine and ethylene glycol and, is not decomposed by dilute mineral acids but undergoes decomposition on being boiled in 60% H2SO4 or 35% HCl, giving one mole each of acacetin, glucose and rhamnose. It was not hydrolysed with a rhamnodiastase preparation obtained from the seeds of Rhamnus koraiensis. After permethylation of it, the uncrystallized product was hydrolysed and apigenin-5,4''-dimethyl ether, m.p. 262o was obtained, indicating that the disaccharide residue is at the 7 position of acacetin. Partial hydrolysis of this acacetin-7-rhamnoglucoside in cyclohexanol with formic acid gave acacetin-7-glucoside, m.p. 246o and rutinose, identifying them with authentic specimen on a paper chromatography. It was thus identified as linarin(acacetin-7-rutinoside) by means of mixed fusion, of paper partition chromatography and of its derivatives. Zemplen and Bognar suggsted that the glucosidic linkage of linarin is beta by means of synthesis of this substance. But there is no evidence whether it is hydrolysed by emulsin or maltase or not. Linarin itself was not hydrolysed by an emulsin existing in the seed of Apricot or a maltase, but acacetin-7-glucoside(tilianin) which obtained from linarin gave acacetin and glucose on hydrolysis with the same emulsin and accordingly the glucosidic linkages of linarin and tilianin are thus regarded as beta.

우리나라 중부지방에서 재배하고 있는 원황정 (Polygonatum sibiricum)의 근경을 한방에서 자양강장약으로 병후의 허약증, 비위허약, 만성병에 의한 영양불량, 소갈등에 쓰고 있으므로 이 식물의 근경에 함유된 성분을 분석하고 약물학적으로 그 유효성을 입증하고져 재료의 알콜엑기스에서 galacturonic acid(Sub. I ) 이외에 Sub. II,III,IV를 단리하여 그 이화적성질을 검토하였다. 또한 에텔엑기스에서 β-sitosterol과 stigmasterol을 확인하였다. 한편 황정이 한방에서 소갈의 목적으로 많이 쓰여지고 있으므로 황정엑기스를 실험동물에 투여하여 혈당량의 변화를 측정한 바 황정엑기스 투여군에 있어서 혈당량이 감소됨을 관찰할 수 있었다.

환경지역 운영에 따른 영세 화물 차주의 경제적 손실규모 추정

수도권 도심 대기질 개선을 위한 환경지역 운영 정책의 긍정적 편익이 5년간 약 3조 3천억원인 것으로 추산(최기주, 2009)되는 등 해당 정책의 당위성은 충분히 인정되고 있다. 그러나 영세 화물 차주에게 배출저감장치 부착 등과 같은 저공해화 조치는 큰 부담이며, 저공해화 미이행 차량에 대한 환경지역의 운행규제는 생계에 치명적인 영향을 끼칠 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 화물운송시장 자료 등을 활용하여 3개 대안별 영세 화물 차주의 규모를 추정한 뒤, 교통수요분석을 통해 해당 차량의 총주행거리 감소분을 산정, 이에 따른 경제적 손실규모를 추정하였다. 그 결과 영세 화물 치주에 대한 손실규모 추정액은 5년간 약 6조 1천억원으로 긍정적 편익을 크게 상회하는 것으로 나타나 이에 대한 대응책 마련이 절실한 것으로 판명되었다. 이는 국가적인 차원에서 다수의 편익을 위해 추진하는 정책이라 할지라도 소수의 의한 경제적 손실규모가 더 크게 발생할 수 있기 때문에 정책 시행에 앞서 충분한 검토가 필요함을 시사한다. The positive effects of the air quality improvement policy have revealed sufficiently such as 3.3 trillion won of social benefits under the Environmental Zone in five years(K. Choi, 2009). In case of low-income freight truck owner, however, could be burdened with the requirement likes emission decreasing equipment. Eventually, restraint of running in the Environmental Zone would be affected their livelihood seriously. After estimating the scale of low-income freight truck owner for three alternatives with Road Freight Transport Center data, this study calculates decreased VKT to estimate the scale of monetary loss. In the result, decreased income amount of low-income freight truck owner under the restricted running estimated 6.1 trillion won during 5 years, quite exceeding 3.3 trillion won of the positive benefits as improving air quality, which means the necessity of immediate countermeasure. In other words, even though the governmental policy aimed benefits for the majority, the result implies that the total monetary losses of the minority could be exceed against the positives, therefore analysis should be considered carefully before the policy becomes effective.

매자나무科 植物의 Alkaloid 硏究 (I) : 매자나무의 硏究

民間에서 苦味健胃藥 또는 洗眼劑로 使用되는 매자나무의 地上莖에서 第三級?基로서 berbamine, oxyberberine, 第四級?基로서 jatrorrhizine, magnoflorine, berberine, shobakunine等을 分離確認하고, 1個의 未知?基를 分水하였다. 地下莖의 ?基는 地下莖와 같으나 上記 末知?基가 없었고 第三級?基인 oxyacauihiu이 存在하였다. Examinations were made on the alkaloids contained in the Berberis Koreana Palibin (Korean name, Maeza Namoo) and 8 kinds of alkaloids were isolated. By the various physico-chemical methods, the presences of oxyacanthin and berbamin as the tert-biscoclaurin-type base, oxyberberin as the berberin-type base and a unknown base were proved. Water-soluble, quaternary bases present were also proved as the berberin-type, berberin jatrarrhizin, shobakunin, and aporphin-type magnoflorin.
