Matchmaker : Fuzzy Vault Scheme for Weighted Preference

Juels와 Sudan의 퍼지 볼트 기법은 기법이 갖는 오류 내성 때문에 많은 연구에 사용 되어오고 있다. 그러나 이들의 퍼지 볼트 기법은 그들의 논문에서 영화 애호가 문제를 예를 들었음에도 불구하고, 사람들이 일반적으로 갖는 선호도(preference)의 차이에 대한 고려가 존재하지 않는다. 한편, Nyang과 Lee는 안전하고 성능이 좋은 얼굴인증 시스템을 만들기 위해서, 얼굴 특징이 서로 다른 가중치를 갖도록 얼굴 특징과 퍼지 볼트(vault) 사이에 특별한 연관 구조를 갖는 얼굴 인증 시스템(이른바, 퍼지 얼굴 볼트)을 소개하였다. 그러나 그들의 기법은 일반적인 특징 추출 기법들이 클래스 내부/간 차이를 최적화하려는 특성이 있기 때문에 인증 실패율을 성공적으로 낮추지 못할 것으로 쉽게 예상할 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 퍼지 볼트의 유연성을 제공해주기 위하여 Nyang과 Lee의 퍼지 볼트기반의 얼굴 인증 시스템에서 가중치 아이디어를 다른 방식으로 구현한 버킷(bucket) 구조와 사용자 선호도와 시스템 구현 간 관계를 공식화하는 세 가지 분포 함수에 대해서 소개한다. 또한 이를 바탕으로 선호도 매치메이커(preference matchmaker) 기법을 제안하며, 영화 데이터베이스를 이용하여 이러한 매치메이커의 연산 성능을 확인해본다. Juels and Sudan’s fuzzy vault scheme has been applied to various researches due to its error-tolerance property. However, the fuzzy vault scheme does not consider the difference between people’s preferences, even though the authors instantiated movie lover’ case in their paper. On the other hand, to make secure and high performance face authentication system, Nyang and Lee introduced a face authentication system, so-called fuzzy face vault, that has a specially designed association structure between face features and ordinary fuzzy vault in order to let each face feature have different weight. However, because of optimizing intra/inter class difference of underlying feature extraction methods, we can easily expect that the face authentication system does not successfully decrease the face authentication failure. In this paper, for ensuring the flexible use of the fuzzy vault scheme, we introduce the bucket structure, which differently implements the weighting idea of Nyang and Lee’s face authentication system, and three distribution functions, which formalize the relation between user’s weight of preferences and system implementation. In addition, we suggest a matchmaker scheme based on them and confirm its computational performance through the movie database.

최근 제안된 두 그룹서명기법의 암호분석

연결불가능성(unlinkability)과 추적불가능성(traceability)은 그룹서명이 만족해야 하는 기본적인 요구사항이다. 본 논문에서 최근 Lee등과 Zhu등에 의해서 제안된 두 그룹 서명기법들이 갖는 취약점을 분석하였다. Lee등의 기법은 합법적인 서명자가 생성한 서명을 검증할 수 없는 설계상의 치명적인 문제를 갖고 있으며, 검증과정이 안고 있는 문제와 별개로 동일한 서명자가 생성한 서명을 항상 링크할 수 있음을 보인다. 또, Zhu등의 그룹서명기법에서 그룹의 관리자가 추적할 수 없도록 서명을 생성하는 것이 가능함을 보이고, 저자들의 주장과 달리, 그들의 기법이 전방향 안전성을 만족하지 않음을 보인다. Unlinkability and traceability are basic security requirements of a group signature scheme. In this paper, we analyze two recent group signature schemes, Lee et al.'s scheme and Zhu et al.'s scheme. We show that Lee et al.’s scheme does not work correctly. Further, it fails to meet unlinkability, that is, anyone who intercepts or receives group signatures are able to check if they are from the same signer. We also show that Zhu et al.'s scheme is unable to satisfy traceability, that is, a malicious group member can generate valid group signatures that cannot be opened. Moreover, once becoming group member, the malicious group member will never be revoked from group. Besides, Zhu et al.'s scheme fails to satisfy forward security, a requirement claimed by authors.

주택 정책은 국민의 복지 수준과 서민 경제를 크게 좌우한다. 그래서 참여정부는 뜀박질하는 주택 가격을 잡기 위해 지난 5년간 부단히 애를 썼다. 국민들은 참여정부 시절 잘 된 부동산 정책은 그대로 실행하고, 그렇지 않은 제도는 수정.보완해서 주택 시장의 안정화에 기여하기를 바란다. 이번에 새로 출범한 새 정부의 주택 정책 방향에 대해 살펴보았다.

Some Properties of an RNA Ligase from Rhodosporidium toruloides

Rhodosporidium toruloides의 무세포 추출물에서 새로운 RNA 연결효소의 활동성을 검출하였다. 이 효소계는 합성 UG의 5'-인산에 2'-, 3'-, 또는 고리형 2' : 3'-누클레오티드를 잇따라 결합시킴으로써 $N_nU_{16}G$(n= 1,2,3,...)을 합성시키는 것을 관찰하였다. 합성 올리고누클레오티드와의 연결반응은 2'-포스포모노에스테르, 3',5'-포스포디에스테르 중간체 결합의 형성에 의해서 진행한다. 이 RNA 연결효소는 그의 최대 활동성을 위해서 ATP와 $Mg^{2+}$을 필요로 한다. 흥미있는 것은, 무세포 추출물을 Micrococcus 에서 얻은 핵산가수분해효소로 처리하면 효소 활동성이 없어지지만, 데옥시리보 핵산가수분해효소로 처리한 경우에는 활동성에 영향을 미치지 않는다. 이것은 이 RNA 연결효소가 그의 연결작용에 RNA 성분을 필요로 함을 가리킨다. A novel RNA ligase activity has been detected in a cell-free extract from Rhodosporidium toruloides. The enzyme system was found to successively join 2'-, 3'-, or cyclic 2' : 3'-nucleotide to the 5'-phosphate of synthetic $U_{16}G$, leading to the synthesis of $N_{n}U_{16}G$(n=1,2,3...). The ligation of the nucleotides with synthetic oligonucleotide was found to proceed by forming 2'-phosphomonoester, 3',5'-phospho diester intermediate linkage. The RNA ligase requires ATP and $Mg^{2+}$ for its maximum activity. Interestingly, treatment of the cell- free extract with micrococcal nuclease but not with deoxyribonuclease abolishes the enzyme activity, indicating that the RNA ligase requires an RNA component(s) for its ligation activity.

구강위생용품 관련 교육이 구강위생용품 사용에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 구강위생용품 사용에 미치는 영향을 조사하여 향후 이와 관련된 구강보건교육 방향의 시사점을 제공하고자 2013년 12월부터 2014년 5월까지 약 6개월 동안 서울 및 경기도에 위치한 치과의원에 내원한 환자 320명의 자료를 수집하여, 이 중 응답이 미흡한 21부를 제외한 다음 수집된 자료의 93.4%에 해당되는 299부를 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 첫째, 조사대상자의 구강위생용품 관련 구강보건교육과 인지, 사용간의 상관관계는 구강위생용품 관련 구강보건교육을 받는 경우 구강위생용품 인지 정도(p<0.001)와 사용 정도(p<0.001)가 증가하는 것으로 나타났고, 구강위생용품 인지정도가 증가할수록 사용 정도도 증가하는 것으로 나타났다(p<0.001). 둘째, 구강위생용품 교육은 종속변수인 구강위생용품 인지에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다(p<0.001). 이상의 결과에서 구강병을 예방하기 위하여 구강상태에 적합한 구강위생용품의 올바른 지식과 사용방법에 대한 교육의 기회를 넓히고, 환자에게 구강위생용품에 대한 사용동기를 부여할 수 있는 체계적이고 대중적인 구강보건교육 프로그램 개발과 시행, 홍보를 통해 구강건강 향상에 기여해야 한다고 사료된다. In this study, to provide the implications of dental health care training direction in the future after researching the effect on the use of dental hygiene devices, data were collected from 320 patients who visited dental clinics located in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do for about 6 months between December 2013 and May 2014. Among them, the following results were obtained by analyzing 299 copies accounting for 93.4% of the collected data after excluding 21 copies lacking in answer. It was shown that education about dental hygiene devices had statistically significant effects on the dependent variables, perception of dental hygiene devices (p<0.001). Based upon the results above, it is considered that for the sake of prevention of oral diseases, more opportunities to learn correct knowledge and usage of suitable dental hygiene devices for individual oral conditions should be provided for patients, and active patient education as well as the development, implementation and publicity of systematic and popular oral health education programs will contribute to improved oral health.

Casein Kinase Ⅱ에 의한 송아지 흉선 DNA Topoisomerase Ⅱ 의 활성조절

In order to study the modulation mechanism of topoisomerase II (topo II) activity, casein kinase II was purified from bovine liver using DEAF-cellulose, phosphocellulose, hydroxyapatite, and heparin-agarose column chromatography. Analysis of the purified enzyme by sodium dodesyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis revealed three bands of molecular mass of 44, 42, and 26 kDa. Casein kinase II phosphorylated calf thymus topo II, and the phosphorylation stimulated topo II activity by 2 fold over that of unmodified enzyme. The treatment of calf thymus topo II with alkaline phosphatase abolished the enzyme activity almost completely. These results suggest that some of topo II enzymes exist as phosphoproteins in calf thymus and calf thymus topo II activity can be regulated by casein kinase II.

측두하와에 발생한 악성 섬유성 조직구성

Malignant fibrous histiocytoma is one of the most common soft tissue sarcomas in late adult life. but its incidence in oral and maxillofacial region is extremely rare. We report a case of malignant fibrous histiocytoma which occurred in the infratemporal fossa. Conventional radiograph of this case showed an ill-defined radiolucent lesion in the alveolar bone of the right maxillary first molar area. the lateral wall of the maxillary sinus. and the ascending ramus of mandible. MRI demonstrated a well defined mass of intermediate signal intensitiy in Tl weighted images but T2 weighted images showed two distinctive regions of different characteristics. Upper portion of the lesion was of hyperintense signal but (at) lower portion, the signal intensity decreased clearly, which might mean that this lesion(mass) is composed of two different subtypes though it couldn't be confirmed by histopathological examination. Biopsy was taken the lesion as only in the soft tissue of the maxillary posterior alveolar region and confirmed the storiform-pleomorphic type of malignant fibrous histiocytoma. Histopathological subtype was well consistent with the relatively aggressive imaging findings of that region. We expect more detailed analysis of the nature of malignant fibrous histiocytoma with improvement of the imaging modality and the identification of the relationship between diagnostic imaging and histopathologic findings.

윈도우 커버링용 PET 난연 직물의 마모 및 역학특성

This study examined the abrasion and mechanical properties of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) flameretardant fabrics used for window coverings. The tensile linearity, tensile resilience, bending rigidity, bending hysteresis, shearing stiffness, shearing hysteresis, compression energy, and surface roughness all increased with increasing fabric density and cover factor ratio. Five samples were subjected to more than 16,000 cycles for the abrasion resistance test and to grade 4 for the snagging test. The drape test showed that the flexibility of the samples was affected by fabric density and cover factor ratio.
