        Renewable energy has been brought to the attention of the world as eco-friendly energy source. The government is encouraging application of renewable energy system through policy of infrastructure development. However, methodical planning and design approaches which ensure applications of efficient renewable energy systems in buildings are not enough so far. In order to develop these planning system, it should be essential to survey and analysis the required performance and development direction reflected in the opinion of the hands-on workers preferentially. This study would like to carry out a survey targeting those who have planed the renewable energy system. The survey consist of four individual parts focusing on the awareness, status, improvement and supplementation according to renewable energy system. As a result, the planning systems are necessary to consider economics, performance or reliability simultaneously from the early stage of designing the systems different from the existing methods depended on speciality contractors or hans-on-background.

        New & renewable energy has been brought to the attention of the world as eco-friendly energy source to cope with the fossil fuel depletion and rate of environment load growth. Thus, the government is actively encouraging application of New & renewable energy system. Nevertheless outcome of them has been slumped. This case is caused by shortage of the preliminary inspection and maintenance before installing systems, because scientific planning system is currently required in the pre-planning phase. Before starting to develop the planning tool of new & renewable energy system, to search available factors of development strategy, this study carry out a survey targeting the hands-on workers concerning it. As a result, when new & renewable energy system have been applied, it is evaluated available factors of them such as economics, efficiency, reliability, and so on. Also, a method in planning and design of them has frequently depended on collaborating with specialized agency or experience of working. In addition, a majority of respondents emphasized that exiting building mechanical system and new & renewable energy need to integrate or compose the hybrid system. Finally, it is analysed economical criteria such as minimum of LCC, initial investment have to optimize in advance.

        신축 대학 캠퍼스의 에너지소비 현황 조사 및 분석

        The university"s energy consumption has been increasing continuously in South Korea. And also, the newly constructed buildings at universities are constantly increasing. The purpose of this study is to survey and analyse the present condition of energy consumption in newly built university campus. In order to carry out the research, newly built university campus located in Incheon, South Korea was selected. Investigation items were building and facility system, system operating conditions, energy consumption of March 2010 to February 2011. The investigation were conducted by data collection and visiting interviews with staff. The results can be summarized as follows. The electric power consumption and thermal consumption at the newly built university campus are greatly affected by heating & cooling periods and system operating condition. In order to reduce energy consumption, response is required by considering the seasonal and daily characteristics of the building"s energy consumption. The total energy consumption of the university campus was 6,310 TOE and the share of it was 65% of electric power, 33% of heat and 2% of gas respectively. The ratio of electric power was much higher than the other research results. The energy consumption unit was analyzed as 238.68 Mcal/m<SUP>2.</SUP>year. It is 19% less than the previous research result on university campus energy consumption.

        A number of digital images have been coming into wide use through the Internet and mobile communication. It is necessary to supply a lot of good image contents for the people who want them to develop the industry related to digital images. To do this, the technology to protect the right of the people who made image contents has become very important. Image fingerprint technologies based on image features have been developed to make up for the weak points in them. This paper presents image fingerprint technologies that can distinguish between images depending on each image feature. Image fingerprint referring to visual identifier or visual signature used in MPEG-7 VCE-6. This is because image fingerprint creates fingerprint with the extracted invariant features from the transformed images.

        H.264/AVC 동영상 압축율 향상을 위한 DC 오프셋 보정에 기반한 인터 예측 알고리즘

        H.264/AVC compresses video data by applying DCT transform, quantization and entropy coding processes to the residual signal obtained by inter/intra prediction. This paper proposes a method enhancing an existing DC offset adjustment technology which uses information of neighboring blocks to reduce residual information for improving coding efficiency. DC offset information is not sent over bitstreams, but calculated in the same way both in the decoder and in the encoder. Experimental results show that the proposed method enhances coding efficiency by 0.25% in average BD-Rate compared to H.264/AVC and gives better or worse coding efficiency compared to the existing DC offset method depending on video sequences with coding efficiency degradation by 0.09% in average BD-Rate. This experimental results also show that further coding efficiency improvement is possible by applying the proposed method adaptively to slice or macroblock coding units.
