In this research, organic photovoltaic devices based on bulk-heterojunction (BHJ) from Poly(3- hexylthiophene-2,5-diyl) (P3HT)/[6,6]-phenyl C71 butyric acid methyl ester (PC71BM) were successfully fabricated to determine the optimization of solvent additive of 1,8-diiodooctane (DIO). The BHJ devices with DIO show improved short circuit current (JSC) correlated to the improved device performance, since the DIO in P3HT:PC71BM BHJ affects the morphology in terms of the surface roughness and crystal size. Furthermore, the DIO contributes to the enhanced charge carrier transport of the BHJ device, because the decreased fluorescence and increased hole mobility as found through Raman spectra analysis and SCLC measurement, respectively. The device with optimized concentration (1 vol %) of DIO accomplishes 5% improved photovoltaic performance due to the favorable structural property and enhanced carrier mobility.

최근 비풀러렌계 억셉터 및 다양한 신규 소재의 등장으로 급격한 성장세를 보이고 있는 유기반도체 기반 광전자소자에 대한 최신 기술 동향에 대해 알아보고자 한다. 특히, 학계/산업계의 높은 관심이 높은 대면적 공정 기술과 더불어 저조도 환경에서 구동 가능한 차세대 광전자소자 및 센서에 적용 가능한 광검출기로의 확장 연구에 대해 살펴본다. In this article, we discuss the latest technology trends in organic semiconductor-based photoelectronic devices, which have been growing rapidly recently owing to the emergence of non-fullerene accepters and various new materials. In particular, we focus on large-area process technologies, which are of great interest to academia and industry. Futhermore, research on extending them to photodetectors that can be applied to various sensors and photovoltaic devices can operate in indoor light environments are presented as next-generation photoelectronic technology.
