Purpose: To investigate the prevalence of accommodative insufficiency and convergence insufficiency and to evaluate the visual fatigue causes accommodative insufficiency and convergence insufficiency. Methods: 80 subjects (mean age: 14.46±1.70 yrs) performed Push‐up method for amplitude of accommodation and near point convergence. We evaluate the subjective visual fatigue and Critical flicker fusion frequency using Visual Fatigue Instrument (Visual Fatigue Instrument 501a, WellTech, Paju, Kyongkido, Korea) causes accommodative insufficiency and convergence insufficiency. Results: Mean amplitude of accommodation was 15.93±6.73 D and 80% within normal range and mean near point convergence was 5.48±2.56 cm and 92.5% within normal range. Amplitude of accommodation and subjective visual fatigue showed statistical significant correlation (p=0.000). Critical flicker fusion frequency and subjective visual fatigue showed statistical significant correlation (p=0.000). However there was no statistical significant correlation in near point convergence and subjective visual fatigue (p>0.000). Conclusions: Accommodative insufficiency was more prevalent than convergence insufficiency and amplitude of accommodation and subjective visual fatigue showed statistical significant correlation (p=0.000). It is important to perform amplitude of accommodation for decrease visual fatigue in student.

The worm gear is used in the motor drive system of automotive CVVL because of its compactness and self-locking ability. A ZK worm and an involute helical gear can be meshed in order to reduce production cost. However, the gearing is not suitable for the reliability and the NVH problem. To improve the dynamic performances, an optimal design process is considered. The transmission error is calculated theoretically and minimized with the several gear design parameters. An inequality condition such as the teeth interference elimination is added.
