Noise caused by vehicles has been one of serious problem in the developed cities. Because it can bring physical and spiritual problem to passengers and pedestrians. But vehicles can't be eliminated in daily life as they are closely related to the urban activities. Therefore, this study focuses on the analyzing the effect of noise on road by the using Discriminant Analysis. And the result of this study indicates that noise level should be reduced in order to be achieved more environmentally sound traffic.

Nowadays, most of cities in Korea are faced with illegal parking problem, however, it is difficult to find out efficient countermeasures. In order to solve this problem, driver's opinions about illegal parking has to be taken into consideration. In this study, a questionnare for drivers in illegal parking in Seo-Myeon area of Pusan was carried out to know the reasons of illegal parking and so on, and was analyzed by the quantification Ⅱ. The summarization of the result in this study is as follows : 1) It was possible to analyze drivers' opinions about illegal parking. 2) Existence of drivers' opinions about illegal parking problem was related to kinds of vehicles and parking purposes. 3) It was necessary to be established and enforced comprehensive illegal parking management.

This paper has analysed and associated present condition, type and cause of Korean traffic accidents with a violent driving, and examined drives's condition of Conciousness through questionnaire-subject to 471 persons of Drivers. After total analyses, it could be sought that Quantative decrease of traffic accidents can be decreased with enlightment, national education and improvement of institution and facilities in spite of increase of traffic volume, and I've suggested some alter natives.
大都市 都心地內 駐車特性에 관한 硏究 : 釜山市 西面地域을 中心으로 In Seo-Myeon Area of Pusan

A study on parking problems in metropolitan regions in Korea is a recent concern. In case of Pusan, although the survey for parking problems were studied in a part of transportation studies but were not studied systematically, concretely and deeply. In this study, the area for this survey was limitted to 4 on-street parking places, 14 private parking places, 23 parking places in building in Seo-Myeon area in Pusan C. B. D. The data survey was carried out for each 10 hours from 8.00 A. M. to 6.00 P. M. on 3 days from 11th Aug. to 13th Aug. 1987 and compared with the data on 9 days from 2nd Aug. to 10th Aug. 1984. The method of this survey was performed through continuous observation and explonative observation by each vehicles. The contents of the survey are necessary basic data for the establishment of parking plans in future such as parking time, parking use and kinds of vehicles, etc. The results of this study are summarized as follows; ① Total number of parking vehicles : 13,338 vehicles~illegal parking vehicles:8,554 vehicles(64.2%) ② Number of vehicles in temporary parking facilities~95.9% of total number of parking vehicles. ③ Peak hour~ⓐ legal parking : 1) from 12. 00 A. M to 1. 00 P. M. 2) from 5. 00 to 6. 00 P. M. ⓑ illegal parking : from 10.00 to 12.00 A. M. ④ Average parking time~ⓐ 1984 : 68min. ⓑ 1987 : 111min. - long time pattern ⑤ Average ratio of rotation~ⓐ 1984 : 2. 2 times ⓑ 1987 : 5. 2times - because of the increasement of parking vehicles.

The purpose of this study is to improvement strategies for transportation systems of container cargo in Busan port. Therefore, it was forecasted the future container cargo demand using logistic curve formula. In 2011, container cargo demand was forecasted 8.791 million TEU(T/S including 12.559 million TEU). In order to improvement transportation systems of container cargo, this study presented following; ① port facilities expansion, ② diversity of container transport modes, ③ make up ICD and exclusive container roads, ④ the second Seoul-Busan Expressway.

The Purpose of this study is to observe the change of spacial structure in commercial area which the radius of 500m from a station and to analyze correlation between the important change factors and subway passengers. It took into the data of land use and land value distribution of both 1989 and 1993 to study the spacial structure of area around station by constructing subway. Research zone is within the radius of 500m from station which are NO.1 subway line step 1~4("Napodong"~"Sodaeshindong").
